Problem installing the google everything on the Honor 20 Pro 8 + 256 - Honor 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello, every one.
just picked up the Honor 20 Pro in Shanghai.
I work in Shanghai and needed a new phone.
So picked up the Honor 20 Pro.
Knowing that the Honor 20 itself has the Google Framework on it. So, being straightforward, I automatically thought that the 20 pro will have it also so that I can update the Google play and got everything back.
Believed that it is the first machine that Huawei / Honor has taken away the framework totally.
I downloaded GMS installer from internet and it is saying that it is not allowed ( not sure if there may be more different versions of it ).
Some other game me total 4 files:-
google account management apk
google framwork apk
google play apk
google play service apk
installed everything and then go back to the settings to add account, selected google and then screen stuck for -ever.
Any one has any solutions to install the google back on Honor 20 pro and work?
Thanks.

Fortnite Skin
Hello, if you don’t play Fortnite can you pm me the code for the wonder skin using the instructions below. Please!!! I’m a huge fan of the game and really want the skin.
Open up AppGallery. From there, click on the “Me” icon, and then on “Gift.” This should bring up a banner that has the Honor 20 Wonder outfit (a teal and purple colored girl) on it. Click the banner to copy its code.

In fact you should be able to install google play from huawei app store. No need GMS from elsewhere.
Successfully using google service as above for Honor V20 China version.

Incorrect! Even Honor 20 can use your way to have Google ready.
But Honor 20 Pro not!
Honor 20 Pro don't have any google framework preinstalled.
And even you manual install or use many of "Google Installer",
All not work.
You may check huawei's official forum,, more then 100+ post complain about this.
It's just wont work.
Ask huawei's customer service, they say "maybe Google Service will support later, but no promise"

I used HiCare and used "requested update" from HiCare, not from adjust-->update. After that the update appear in adjust-->update. When you download the update says you only can use the update in the next 60 days.

yeah, you need to do at least one EMUI update to get the Microsoft Translator. I got it after my phone notified me of the first update. The second EMUI update adds live wallpapers and the Amazon video app (which I uninstalled immediately).
I haven't received a second one yet... When did it happen?

I got the second update last week but it just adds live wallpapers and Amazon video app
on my mate 10 pro after the root the translator app has disappeared, can someone extract the apk and put it here?
Yes is possible I my phone.
I've downloaded it from the Play Store, is it the same as the stock one?
I think I may have accidentally deleted it
I tried it, but it's kind of slow, took 10 seconds to translate this:

Hi, I'm from the Microsoft Translator engineering team in "sunny" Seattle, WA.
If the event you don't have the app installed (or removed it unintentionally) in theory you should be able to just go to the Huawei store (not Google play as we can't put two versions of the app there) and re-install it.
However, after I saw this post we went to check and realized it's not there. We're talking to our Huawei engineering partners soon and hopefully it will be fixed shortly. Then, if the Huawei store detects it's a Mate 10 or Honor view 10 it will automatically send you the IA-build. Other Huawei phones will get the "vanilla" version that has all the same features but the NMT offline translations packs, just regular SMT ones (still probably the best on the market based on our internal testing from last year!).
Note: All cloud translations as AI (well, for supported NMT languages!), it's only when you're offline and for the dozen NMT offline pack (easy to know which ones: they're 1/2 the size of the non-NMT ones, 100MB instead of 200MB) that you'll use the Kirin processor accelerated translations.
Note 2: if you had it on the phone, and I know it's kind of brute force, you can factory reset your phone and it should come back.
I hope it helps and for any app questions the best is to just ask them on our Uservoice forum ( we monitor it daily): microsofttranslator.uservoice.com

I tried it, but it's kind of slow, took 10 seconds to translate this:
No, it's the default one, without offline NMT support. If you're online it makes absolutely no difference though.

Other tip: the icon is slightly different. The standard app has as "a" and a Japanese character in the icon. The Huawei version has a "a" and a Chinese character.

ALP-L29 8.0.0.132 (c185)
Does this have office voice translate?
no, only text translation offline
For me it doesn't work anymore. It always says "can't translate this" no matter what I point my camera on. Also text gets the same error immediately after opening the menu even before typing in text. Same for voice

How can I install Google playstore on Chinese ROM Honor 8x phone?

Last week my friend buy a Honor 8x mobile form Vmall Huawei online store in china, and after come back to USA, he gift me the phone. but here i face some problem. i can not install google play store. Please help me and give me a solution how could i do that.
First you need to get and run the GMS installer:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-10/themes/gms-installer-google-play-100-huawei-t3809447
Then get the Google installer, it's all in Chinese, just run it and approve all the installs:
https://itechify.com/2016/11/10/download-google-installer-apk-chinese-phones/
Make sure you grant Google Play Services and the Play Store permissions.
Finally you will probably need to update Play Services and the Play Store, and these can be a little buggy when it comes to updating themselves, so use the Yalp store instead:
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.github.yeriomin.yalpstore/
This worked for me, hope it works for you too!
Hi, I found a solution here: https://youtu.be/FubclG3t-3A
(important was the answer of ED KAN user: he made my day!)
Hope this help! (I was able to install everything on my Chinese JSN-AL00a device).
Use anothers website

In regards to your first point; You can view the frequencies that are being used by the phone online (I usually use GSM arena or just a google search) and then compare them with your countries bands (also a quick google away). I am Australian and searched on my carriers website and they had a map showing where their coverage was in terms of each band. So I was able to work out that getting the phone would be fine for me for my daily life but when I leave that and go on a day trip or something I can sometimes get 1 bars in some places. (This is regarding my last phone by the way (mate 8))

that's what I used to do.. but I'm too lazy for that now - I just use kimovil
hmm, strangely I can't find the chinese version there.. it does have the chinese mate x 20 though
basically there is no limitation of software , including all the services of Google, Only thing that can not work is Google Maps Timeline, dont know why , it just cant work on the chinese version of phone
but there is a lot of limitation of software on the global version, huawei messaging app, huawei travel assitance, huawei voice assistant, etc
,
Google feed might not be available too.
My worry would be getting a faulty "green" screen and would need to return it, unless the manufacturer honours the warranty regardless where purchased? I had to exchange mine due to faulty lg screen, but it was an over the counter exchange by 3 UK, whom I bought it from. Luckily got a boe screen and it's fine.
google works fine with my chinese m20p..only issue was no no group message from system app, calendar not linking with system app.
HW Chinese model has some notifications delay problem but it get OS update much earlier/faster than international version and call recording feature

you can install google play store from the huawei store included on the phone - at least some people said that, as well I tried to find it on a phone in the huawei (physical) store (in china) and it had play available for install within the huawei app store. I have no idea about google services, I'm sure someone in this thread must have written about it.

Not work join to beta

Hello guys! I want to join a beta for Mate 20 Pro and not work and receive this message "Beta testing is limited to channel version and not applicable to carrier_customized version"
How solve this?
I do the same. but why?
You can't solve this, Beta is restricted to certain version and model. Yours is carrier locked so you can't join the Beta
Plus you need to be a developer and need to published apps on play store to access it.
just landed in beta app. (Netherlands)

That is the strange thing I live in Romania, when I got the phone there was no carrier stuff I got it from an online website, I put in my Digi SIM and nothing special I used it as it is, then a friend of mine put in his Orange SIM and it downloaded some firmware update and it became "branded ?" but it's not locked cuz I can use my Digi SIM and I don't have any bloatware installed.
Anyone know how can I get rid of that bull**** carrier thing ?

It is weird indeed, mine as well is unbranded but can't access, I think that if the app says that we can't there is no way to get it , or need to unlock bootloader and root the phone maybe but with Huawei it is a difficult exercise
I knew before that Huawei is completely Locked but it is a Shame that with something we buy we can't take the entire control of it.

Google Services on imported Huawei Mate 10?

Hi, I imported a Huawei Mate 10 2.5 years ago from China because it's the only way I could get a phone that has a 16:9 screen!
However, I can't download the NHS Test and Trace app (I'm in the UK), and while I have Google Play Services, I understand I need Google Services. Can someone please explain the way to get this in the most simple terms? Thanks.
Can someone help, please?

I was hoping someone could tell me here, as I understood this was the font of all knowledge.
The method I used was:
I happen to have mate 9, which was running Android version 9 and Mate 10 Pro AL00 ( just like you) with ver 10.
- I used HiSuite to downgrade my 10Pro to Android 9
- Use backup on Mate 9 and backed up google services, google play onto external USB drive
- connected the same drive and copied files to 10 Pro - download dir
- install google services and google play on 10 Pro
- update 10Pro to ver 10 using HiSuite
