I was not sure about the compatibility to the mi 9t. There could be some differences between the K20 and the mi 9t.

The 9t is really good and snappy, now with EU stable and root is better than the Global stable, the finger unlock is faster in EU. I'm happy!!!

You can flash it or not, the only thing it does is to make your phone boot to TWRP.
But you can do it writing: fastboot boot recovery.img
Or you can do it with the buttons: power + volume+

@Schnedi so you are running a mi 9t?
You unlock your mi 9t bootloader and you just booting into fastboot and boot the twrp recovery instead of flash it?
Why not flashing it?

Yes, you can (on Windows):
• Unlock bootloader
• Download MiFlash Tool
• Download global fastboot rom and uncompress
• Start MiFlash Tool
• Restart to fastboot mode
• Plug your device to computer
• Browse and select rom folder
• Flash it

thanks, I heard that Xiaomi has blocked this way and it cannot be done is that right? I am on miui 10.3.9 china stable rom, redmi k20. If I understand correctly you are saying the only thing that I need to do is unlock the bootloader and then I can easily download global stock rom 10.3.5 for redmi k20 and flash it on my device? and I couldnt find the rom on officail miui sites some website has the rom but they say its for redmi k20 codenamed davinci can I use that rom?
