I was not sure about the compatibility to the mi 9t. There could be some differences between the K20 and the mi 9t.
It seems that the kernel for the K20 & mi 9t is the same. See here.
But some users say it is compatible:

No, you have to flash the recovery.img, the one you don't need to flash is the misc.bin.
misc.bin only make your phone boot to TWRP, but you can do it with command or the buttons.

Installed yesterday, it's ok, is decrypted, don't need to format data

Just adding the original source: http://www.miui.com/thread-24769909-1-1.html
LR.Team/wzsx150 are known to publish very usable TWRP builds almost immediately after the release of devices.

The 9t is really good and snappy, now with EU stable and root is better than the Global stable, the finger unlock is faster in EU. I'm happy!!!

You can flash it or not, the only thing it does is to make your phone boot to TWRP.
But you can do it writing: fastboot boot recovery.img
Or you can do it with the buttons: power + volume+

@Schnedi so you are running a mi 9t?
You unlock your mi 9t bootloader and you just booting into fastboot and boot the twrp recovery instead of flash it?
Why not flashing it?

Well flashing twrp did not work for me (causing bootloop). Soo I've just used "fastboot boot whateverrecoverynameugot.img" and install magisk
unable to mount storage after flashing, anyone else has this problem?
after the 7th attempt, it was able to appear

No I don't think this will work.
Mi8 and Poco has almost the same hardware. That's why it works. Oxygen is for OnePlus and it's not similar as Poco.

Has anyone got the OxygenOS Poco Port to work on their Mi 8? I'm currently trying but it's not booting up.
This is what I've done:
-changed the OxygenOS update-script
-wiped data,cache,dalvik + system
-did factory reset
-flashed the rom (prepped OxygenOS)
-flashed Mi8 kernel
-flashed DFE
-flashed the vendor.img you need for OxygenOS
I see the Oxygen boot animation but after 5 mins of trying to boot my Mi 8 resets into recovery
Would really love an OxygenOS port for the Mi 8 so hmu if u got this to work

OOS7P Rom booting and functioning with some issues. But still nice.

I found this OnePlus 7 Pro Rom which boots on Mi9 but has some issues. All credits to the creator. Maybe someone can help fixing the issues
https://androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=296331
Forgot to say the ROM is OOS7P_958_V2
How to flash
1. Use new Eu Rom fw+vendor, like 10.7.19
2. Wipe all except internal storage
3. Flash extracted OOS7P image to system
4. Flash Permissiver_v4.zip
What it doesn't work (this what i found)
1. AOD
2. Sounds through speaker are muffled.
3. Finger Print
4. Face unlock
Flashing this ROM at your own responsibility.
Thank you.

Hi,
Yes, its from Note 7 Pro. I have tried multiple vendors but same issues as in OP persist. The performance of the Rom is amazing.
Maybe someone can produce a patch to resolve those issues. I have also tried global mi 9 vendor files but it boot loops.

Choose the one that fits you best. If you live in Europe, choose the EEA and for rest of the world except China, India, Russia use the MI one. You need to have an unlocked bootloader and flash the fastboot image. You can't use the recovery image. Backup your data beforehand as you'll loose the entire data on your Internal storage. In case you have TWRP already installed, you can flash the recovery images without any problems. Make sure you choose the flash options in Mi Flash cautiously as locking the bootloader while flashing an another region ROM would hard brick your device.

Question Custom ROM for Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro??

Glad to have been here, I'm so exciting about my new Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G coming for next week so, how about custom ROM we'll see next update? Pixel Experience? or OneOS?
comment below about you guys think about.
I had been already got xiaomi pad 5 pro 5g version
This time, xiaomi restricted dailer apk couldn't run directly.
Also limited couldn't make the apk shortcut by manual.
Even more, xiaomi limited manual install any higher/lower version dialer apk.
So even root first, and flash Magisk voenabler plug-in zip.
This Tablet still couldn't make the volte call
So without contacter and dialer apk function,so far i couldn't breakthrough limited volte function.
If anyone can, please feel free to let anybody know how to do.
Thanks anyway
+1 Have had my MiPad 5 Pro (without 5G) for 3 days. hope it starts soon with a Eu or other version here at XDA

All that can be tried at such an early stage of the device's life is universal GSI ROMs at your own risk. If I'm not mistaken, it won't even require a custom recovery, but the result is unpredictable: from full functionality to soft brick.

Wish I saw this earlier. It's buried on the second page I didn't see. Would have saved me making a thread. I was going to try the Xiaomi contacts and dailer APKS but no point. I also found a very obscure YouTube video from Vietnam I guess trying to use Pad 5 pro 5G to send SMS messages to no avail.
Same issue here I'm using Verizon on LTE
