Boot Animation - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 Themes and Apps

I was wondering if anyone knew how to that could point me to a tutorial or could make one for me? Would be more simpler if they just used a ZIP file like other phones.. let me know if you want to try to convert a zip I have for the boot animation i'm wanting.

You could always change bootanimation.bin to get support for bootanimation.zip instead.

Thanks for making things just a little easier!! Before long, all we will have to do is plug in our phone and press 1 for rom flash, 2 for kernel......etc.etc. Ok, probably not, but you guys and your flashing scripts make life a hell of a lot easier on the rest of us! Keep up the awesome work!

Since the boot animation is the same for BAMF as stock, i would imagine its in the same place. I wouldn't think Eris would have moved the bootanimation location and left it stock.
I haven't tried it on BAMF but i can when i get home.
xjedi I'm Gonna Add This To My Tool So People Will Get Directed To Your OP, Great Work Man.
Can anyone try these boot animations from my post on various ROMs using this method? I would love to be able to link to this in my post and have it actually work. We've been having issues with other ROMs since they seem to be more complicated than Ineffabilis. Any help with posts of if this works would be awesome!
This didnt work at all for me . I did everything on the instructions .????
can I use a video as my boot animation or is it just .PNG files that are only allowed?
i used to make boot animations and i can tell u they are pics that make it look like a video
there are programs i think that can take a video and turn it into pictures.. that would work
Didn't work for me--I just have no boot animation now, but it boots. Wasabi, I tried to use one of your boot animations.

Trust me, if it could be easily done, it would be. Pretty sure that's part of the bootloader, don't advise messing with that.
Ok that would make sence. I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1292524 so I changed it to a custom logo and that'll work since I can't remove it

Ah ok, can you set up ADB, because it's needed to get access to your root folder.
Afterwards, you need to download this file, it's the firmware for your device https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B4AdByfaH4T0WWJEQlNjeHg4bzg/edit
If you have setup your adb and it's running, extract the firmware on your desktop and go to the path "simcom77_twn_cu_ics2-ota-I968.I968.02.05.G.A-V1.0.1B04P85.zip\system\media" without quotes, and copy all the files (via adb) in your phone's /system/media/ and before doing that delete the previous files that are corrupted. After that your phone will be fixed!

Did you make a Nandroid Backup when you first Rooted the Device ? If so, Boot into Recovery. Then restore your Nandroid. If not then you can either Flash a Custom Rom, or the Stock Rom Rooted. Either should resolve your issues.

Boot Logos!

Just flash the zip in TWRP to change your boot logo. These should work for any model of the G6 Play. All backgrounds are white with the exception of the original boot logo. This was done to cover up that annoying bad key or N/A message. Enjoy!
Hey, thanks for this! If I do a design, could you make it into one of these? For example, this one?

Motorola Moon
This took me a few hours. Hope you folks like it. I'll probably make a few more over the next several days.
Is there a tutorial anywhere on how make these?
These are great and just what I need, however, I can't seem to the zip files when I'm booted into TWRP on my XT1922-3 (I think it has something to do with not being able to find a download for XT1922-3_no_dm-verity_boot.img that still exists anywhere). So is there a way to flash this using fastboot?
I tried unzipping and using the command > 'fastboot flash logo logo.bin' which it said was successful, but I still see the bad key or N/A.
It would be great if anyone can explain how to get this to work for me.

You shouldn't need a no verity boot.img
You can flash the dmverity disabler then magisk.
If you already have TWRP, then dmverity has already been disabled. Or your phone wouldn't boot.
But if you need it

Thanks, yes, I downloaded that already and put the zip file into the root directory, but TWRP doesn't see it to be able to install/flash it.
As I don't need the phone rooted, as I'm just setting it up to sell on, I think I'll just reflash the stock firmware and see if I can relock the bootloader and get rid of the N/A and/or Bad Key messages, so it is like oem from the factory, for whoever buys it.

That's because TWRP can't read encrypted storage. Has to on your SD card.
These are really cool! Appreciate you sharing what you made and getting the annoying "bad key" done away with. Did you follow a specific tutorial to make these or you just already knew how? I am interested. I would like to make some is why I ask. I use Ubuntu on my home computer and I have gimp. I haven't ever really messed with it much but I plan on setting down with it soon ,hopefully this weekend and this would be a cool project I believe to start out. I'll search around here on xda and see what all I can find on boot logos. Thank you! Also thank very much for the custom twrp recovery!! If it wasn't for you I don't believe the Moto g6 play would be able to install GSI roms. :good:

The links work and it flashes with no issue. I'll test and see if it works later.
Edit
Shutdown animation works, thanks for your hard work.
Shutdown animation flashed and working 100 percent nice work thanks man!
Links are broken for me.
EDIT:
Links are Still broken at the time of this post but here is what I did to make it work.
Searched for krunkkracker on GitHub and cloned your shutdown animation repo.
Manually created a zip file ( because the zip file that GitHub generates has folder within a folder structure which breaks magisk)
Flashed the manually created zip to magisk and it worked.
Thanks for your efforts! This looks really good

Before I get to the animations (yours are working good), I get a warning of possible issues. It started when I unlocked and before rooting. Any way to get rid of that ?

That's because your Bootloader is unlocked, there's no easy way to remove it.

Is this still a problem for you? If you uninstall the magisk module, the stock boot animation will come back.
The zips work good + no issues. Wish I could get rid of that warning.
Note to those who think getting rid of Magisk and boot will do so - wrong - only relocking bootloader will.
