Navigation menu and fingerprint unlock light - Xiaomi Mi A3 Questions & Answers

Is there a way to set the navigation menu to the three buttons? I really hate this "gesture" navigation menu.
About the extremelly bright green light when your fingerprint is being recognized, is there a way to remove It?

1. No option at these very moment
2. In security & location, go to fingerprint and there an option to disable fingerprint icon on when the screen is off.

Probably could change the buttons to do whatever you want, later when we can root it...

Yes, there is an opportunity. With this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.paphonb.systemuituner
Root is not necessary. Only permission through adb, and you can customize the navigation bar. I myself have already changed the location, and added a button. Now there are three of them).

My home button doesn't register all presses so I flashed a new ROM and enabled navigation bar. It takes some of my screen space but that's what I prefer instead of unresponsive home button. Now I want to completely disable to soft key because I already have those function at the navigation bar. Please help me.

After startig an app I press the button with the blue text about displaing in full screen mode, then another screen appears wit information about restarting the app anf when I press "ok" nothing happens. The navigation bar at the bottom of the screen is still visible and I can't turn it off. Please help.
Hi ya. You need to set your navigation bar to hide. It will give you an arrow on the left you can press to hide the navigation bar, it will be in full screen but it doesn't hide the navigation bar unless you tell it too. It's under setting, smart assistance, system navigation.

Thank You I've thought that in the full screen mode the navigation bar shoul dissapeat "by itself" without pressing any keys
I'd prefer it, if the bar disappeared of its own accord until you needed and you could pull it up. But you need to use the settings I've shown and the use the triangle shape at the edge. You never know it may change in the future. :good:

What app do you use to hide navigation buttons?

Hi everyone!
I have a quick question from my daughter (she's the one using this phone):
What app do you use to hide navigation buttons? She likes capacitive buttons under the screen but this phone doesn't have them
Thanks!

As no hardware Button, we need soft navbar. But you can:
-Hide navbar depending on the app you are on.
It is called expanded desktop.
For example on launcher hide statusbar and navbar
-Use pie control to only show nav Button when needed.
It is called pie settings.
Here exemple crdroid, but dotos shall have it too.
Well, my phone, has already an option to add small 'v' symbol on the left side of navigation panel. Pressing it hides it. To show it again just swipe up from the bottom of the screen.
It is in Options > Smart Assistance > Navigation bar > Navigation bar (switch).
Thanks for such perfect reply!!!

Drop down menu

How to change drop down navigation menu / customize navigation menu like miui or emui ?
Open drop down panel. Pull down to see more quick settings. 2 buttons will appear on the top right of the screen. The one on the right is for Settings app. The one on the left should open the customisation option you are looking for.

You can enable finger sensor gestures which will allow you to use the fingerprint scanner to expand the notification bar by swiping down.
To enable go to settings- Advanced features - finger sensor gestures
i dont use the samsung launcher, but i thing there is an option in the settings to pull down the notification from anywhere
