I have Redmi 5 (rosy) Global. When I want to unlock Bootloader, I have this error on 50% :
"Couldn't verify device. Can't get info, connect again."
In phone is this ROM now:
Version MIUI: Global 10.3.2 (stable ODAMIXM)
Version Android: 8.1.0 OPM1.171019.026
I still have Redmi Note 4, and I unlocking this without any problem.
Please, any solution?
Solved. I use old version of Mi Flash Unlock (3.4.703.18).

Hi, noob here...my friend has a redmi 3 pro (the 3gb version) and stuck on the 7.9 global stable (it came with this rom), can he flash the redmi 3 miui 8 global stable rom on his redmi 3 pro from this link?

Do I need to unlock his bootloader? How do I even know if his bootloader is already unlocked?

I have a Redmi note 3, MTK version (Hennessy), as the title implies
I couldn't find any threads about how to unlock the bootloader for the MTK version.
I'm running MIUI 8.0.2.0, china version. And of course i've tried the Xiaomi official Unlock software - not working.

You need to unlock bootloader and flash Android 6 image using MiFlash.
I have Redmi 5 Plus (vince) with China beta ROM installed.
I just unlock my bootloader and flashed global stable and beta ROM from here:

Fastboot ROM flashed successful and working fine. But problem is when I relock my bootloader again, device not booting. Its goes directly to miui recovery and giving message "the miui version cant be installed on this device" type message. But if I unlock again, device boot and working.
But I want to use my device with locked bootloader.
Please help me if anybody know how to use global stable or beta rom with lock bootloader for Redmi 5 Plus. I want global rom with google service without any error. China rom giving google service error sometime
I still use miui eu but i saw many post about stock china change to global ....certainly only way is unlock bootloader and flash rom by mi flash of xiaomi...your case just happen when u use method click to test point in mainboard....
I think you should to lock boot loader because it good when fone bug
You have to flash china stable rom using test point method. Flash and lock in miflashtool. Then you can unlock bootloader again with no waiting and flash global ROM this time with clean all and flash in miflashtool.

I know I have to unlock my bootloader first. Does anybody know the procedure of rooting this phone and does it actually can be rooted with MIUI 10? I read someone tried to root MIUI 10 and ended up got hardbricked which is why I'm asking the possible method of rooting this phone.
