[Guide]
1. Turn on Wifi connection
to unlock your oem you will need to be connected to a wifi network
2. Change Date and turn off automatic date and time
(settings -> general management -> date and time ->
turn off auto-update time -> set the date for 8 days ago)
3. Enable Developer Mode
(settings -> about phone -> software information -> press build number for 10 times)
4. Check Software Updates
(settings -> software update -> check updates manually)
5. First Reboot
Reboot and test if OEM unlock
6. Change Date Again
(settings -> general management -> date and time ->
set the date for 10 days ago)
it's probable that the date will be again the current date,
but don't fear, set it back to 10 days ago
7. OEM Unlock (settings -> developer options ->
check if the OEM unlock toggle is present ->
else, go back and forth between the general settings tab
and developer options and if needed use "close all"
from recents and reopen settings again).
8. Success, you can flash custom binaries again
9. If it did not work repeat the process again from the beginning,
have patience is normal to work the second time.
[ROOT]
At this point flash TWRP and Magisk
At this point install your prefered ROM Custom

OEM Unlocking
Hi there, I have rooted my old s7 edge tons of times, had custom roms and at the moment I am unrooted with an android 8 stock rom. I want to root my device again but have come acroos a propblem I have never had before.
When in develpoer options, the OEM unlock slider is present as usual. I slide the toggle and get the usual warnings and request for pin. Once thats done the slider jumps back to the off position. No matter what I try, I cannot get that slider to stay on and now I am stumped.
Anty ideas?

I don't use this ROM but I know that there is another way to access that menu. But it requires Nova Launcher . You add a widget called activities then there is a specific setting that you choose that will bring you to the menu. I just can't remember the actual setting to hit but the beginning process adding a widget with Nova is correct.

PegasusOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
PegasusOS is based on the GrapheneOS Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It is to be used without any Google applications installed. This project ’PegasusOS’ intends to build a privacy and security focused mobile OS. This OS will not be including any Google specific apps such as Google Play Mobile services (GMS), in benefit of not tracking user activities by google. We had to sacrifice Google Play services to improve our privacy. Since they are alternatives like F-Droid. Its an installable catalogue of FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) applications for the Android platform. Google releases the source code of android for further development and we will be using that to provide a bleeding edge android build for a device which has not been updated for a long time and still runs an outdated android version and security patch. Also improve the privacy and security of the OS from the bottom up, security of both the OS and the apps running on it by adding various features like the permission restrictions when the device is locked (like connecting USB peripherals). along with more complex user-facing privacy and security features. Also features like disabling all primary sensors of the device in one click. We will never include any Google Play Mobile services (GMS) in order to protect user’s activity on the phone. It will also improve battery life on phone and less background apps will be running.
Our Source code is available in the PegasusOS Github repo
Base source code is available in the GrapheneOS Github repo.

Great!
So far so good, but I actually preferred the edition released on the 19th as the release on the 24th has microG enabled by default without giving the user an option. To report a bug, AOSP keyboard settings are broken in both builds. I am using a Pixel XL(marlin) device. Keep up the great work!
Glad to find this. I was kicking myself for not moving to GrapheneOS while it was still available for marlin.
Will this ROM do Play sandboxing like Graphene?
I just installed this on marlin today. Looking good so far. Will install GrapheneOS on bonito next to compare the two.

Why not? What carrier is it? Did you make sure you had a good WiFi internet connection before toggling OEM unlock?
