How to downgrade to miui 9 with twrp - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Good day I would like to get a guide on how to downgrade from miui 10 to miui 9 with twrp because I don't have access to a computer. Thank you

first you need to do a full wipe and format data then flash an old oreo vendor/firmware followed by flashing miui 9 oreo global stable (9.6.25) recovery rom zip.

My device is still android 8, want to update to 9

My Redmi 6a is still android 8 (8.1.0 O11019) and the MIUI version is MIUI Global 10.3.6 | Stable. So I found this thread where you can download the update manually but when I tried doing it, my device says
Can't verify Update
Coudn't verify. Looks like the ROM's secure-patch version is lower than the current version

Is there a way that I can update my phone to android 9?
Unlock bootloader, install twrp, then flash the recovery file with twrp. Keep in mind, don't flash the oreo twrp after you've successfully flashed miui pie, if you do you'll hard brick your phone. The pie twrp can be found in 4 p d a or in the telegram group or just google it.
Or just wait until xiaomi releases the fastboot file so you can flash it with a pc.

"E1001: failed to update system image. Updater process ended with error 7" on Mido

"E1001: failed to update system image. Updater process ended with error 7" on Mido
I need your help guys.
I kept on getting this error saying "E1001: failed to update system image.
Updater process ended with error 7" everytime I flash roms on my Redmi note 4x SD variant Mido. No matter what the rom I flash and recovery I use results were all the same.
I already edited the roms that I have, I removed all the asserts scripts from the updater script but it was still the same.
I have been flashing roms before but I am not completely familiar with this error and on how to fix it.
I hope you guys can help me.

Attempted to flash:
Corvus 5 Q mido
Corvus 7.5 Q mido
Corvus 8.5 Q mido
Syberia OS 3.9 Q mido
Resurrection Remix Q 8.6.2 mido
MIUI 12 Razer mido
MIUI 11 stock global recovery rom
Colt OS Q latest ver mido
AbhiXROG Edition 20.9.24
Recoveries that I've used:
TWRP 3.3.1
Orange Fox r11
Pitchblack Recovery 3.0.0 (twrp 3.4.0 based)
Firmware:
MIUI 11 Global stable
They've failed me, and my phone is dead until now.
I also tried to flash fastboot global miui rom, so what I did is I boot my phone to EDL then used miflash the latest one to flash the rom into my phone. Flash attempts were all successful, but my phone kept on being stuck on Mi Logo. I can no longer think of other options.

Hey, I faced the same issue today.
I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I think I wiped my data incorrectly or something.
I tried many things but it wouldn't work.
Here is how I resolved it.
1. Installed Orange Fox Recovery (Maybe not necessary, but that's what I did)
2. Format Data. (Not Wipe, Format)
3. Flashed ROM again.
Voila, it flashed.
Hope it helps.
Thanks for your response. I'll make sure to do the same procedure. I hope it can fix everything.

MIUI Downgrade OrangeFox Recovery

Hi,
How can I downgrade from the latest official MIUI 11 global ROM to the MIUI 10 Xiaomi EU custom ROM with OrangeFox recovery?
Well assuming your device to be unlocked since you have OrangeFox Recovery installed (presumably), you need to download your preferred custom ROM, Gapps (if you want), magisk (if you want) and flash them in this order from recovery.
So what is stopping you from doing so?
Sorry for this tone but you have to specify what exactly you want and how far have you tried in achieving that.
