Hi,
If like me, you don’t like the height of the stock navigation bar, I propose 2 smaller alternatives .
I also added a custom toggles pannel in 3 rows by 5 columns.
I added 4 columns mod for home folders.
Installation:
Flash the zip file with TWRP recovery
25 Dip NavBar:

To restore the Stock NavBar, flash this file:

I have not found any way yet. Without root I think it would be even more difficult.
The same is not possible to reduce the navbar in android Q

Both 25 and 32 works in landscape orientation. The navigation bar is shorter in landscape but in portrait its unchanged, which is strange. I am on 10.3.8.0 (EU) so its android pie. Not tried on Q.
It would be great to have it in portrait orientation.
It would also be great to have on custom ROMs

Moded Touchwiz(SecLauncher2.apk) with auto-rotation 4*6 / 6*4 app screen portrait/landscape. Optimized screen area, just decrease in font size. Home screen is default with scrollable wallpaper.You have to enable Auto rotation. Removed menu title in apps drawer(Apps, Widget and Download) in landscape mode to adjust 6*4 apps as bug of customized and alphabetical icon setting seen.

How to install:
1. Rename /system/app/SecLauncher2.apk to Seclauncher2.apk.bkp (for backup)
2. Copy the downloaded SecLauncher2.apk in the /system/app
3. Change permission: rw-r--r--
4. Reboot if required.
Flashable zip also attached...
Lock screen will not auto-rotate. Add "lockscreen.rot_override=true" in /system/build.prop, but this then keep lockcreen rotation permanent (even though rotation is off). So try and use it if you like.
If some want to enable rotation mod in default Seclauncher2.apk:-
For rotation change <integer name="config_screenOrientation">3</integer> in res\values\integers.xml.(default is 5).
For smooth TouchWiz working use CoCore-E kernel. You will note difference compared to stock kernel.
Touchwiz zip without black background and no scrollable wallpaper added...
(As far as I know) After the perms, change both owners to 0-root If you have another launcher you don't need a reboot.

Delete "lockscreen.rot_override=true" in /system/build.prop.

Try this homescreen 4*5, made it today. There is homescreen rotation bug so not updated earlier. Either you have to use homescreen in only portrait or only landscape mode.(*kill seclauncher2.apk if homescreen is not exactly spaced)
by the way can i install this on a odex phone, (currently i'm de-odexed but planning to soon reflash stock rom and stay odexed ....) or is there any way i can re odex this specific apk ?

- Remove the AM/PM (Not sure why HTC, Samsung and LG think we need this)
- Change the color of the battery and signal color. Would like more of the stock look.
- Wish the notification shade was standard JB! Not sure why they went with the ICS style.

I think with the addition of LG made themes we will see more of what your asking for.
Anybody know if there are plans for LG to release more stock themes?
My wish list...
- stock color icons on status bar, time battery etc..
- WiFi notification bye bye

How did LG work out themes with the Optimus G line? Was there some LG market to download themes and icons?
. Enough soft key to recent apps.

If you go under wifi, then advanced you can shut down the wifi in range notification. I did and its bliss .

I'm using them, have every theme I could find installed. I'll eventually get around to porting EpicBlue into a Home theme.

Ewww the recent apps button. Got to be the most useless button out there. I am so glad samsung and lg stuck with the menu button. I use the menu button all the time.

Which rom/device have you confirmed it working on?
Doesn't work on Nexus7 (2012) ROM:CM10.2.1
Edit: working now!!! But please add "navbar height in landscape" because on tablets navbar is still in stock dpi in landscape mode
Works on Omnirom 4.4.2 Huawei Ascend P6, atlough the statusbar size is a little buggy. Combined with App Settings it can be put into good use for resizing the statusbar.

This mod enables the navbar / softkeys on my Sprint Galaxy Note 2 running near stock TW rom (STS MK4). I have been searching for a mod that does this, as i've tried the manual editing of the CSC to disable the hw keys but never worked for me.
And I can shrink the navbar to 24 pts!

Not much success on my S4, either. The status bar never changed, and I got intermittent effects in some apps' title or action bar. Yes, I rebooted after each attempt. I'm looking forward to trying updated versions.

Action bar title size is kinda working, it shows up when I open an app, but when it fully loads, text size is back to normal
Not working (and tested obviously): statusbar icon size (could it be an incompatibility with gravity box icons?), toast message distance from bottom
Also, loading previous settings causes fc, and ad cover the "Visit XDA thread" button.

Load previous settings only works if you had some, i'll look into it. And new update i just released has fixed issue with ad covering the buttons. Thanks for letting me now

This module replaces the values of dimens.xml inside framework-res.apk. It requires a reboot in order to reload these settings. I'll look into XuiMod and see how they're doing it, i suspect they have some sort of background service like GravityBox

Nope, already did, and didn't helped.
Maybe you are not aware, but G2 notification bar has big height comparing to other phones, so maybe it is already moded somehow especially that LG G2 heavily themed comparing to usual phones.

You can flash your stock boot.img, i think i might of put in the permissive boot by mistake which is ok just needs the updated modules but flashing a stock boot should get your wifi back

Unzip load up odin select the tar.md5 file with the AP slot make sure oem unlocking and usb debuggings is check reboot to odin mode using vol down+power+home button wait for device to be recgonized and hit start

Thanks i got some updates ill upload here after while its gonna have 3minit clock mod rounded or stock notifications ability to color them custom background clock buttons in the notification panel with this update the statusbar will be about 95% complete

Heres update might be issue with network speed in statusbar or might just be me let me know if you have issue so i can get it fixed also this update adds the 3minit batterymod
Also added ability to turn off the brightness slider an some coloring of the notfications and the carrier label in the drop down can be turned off or changed to say whatever you want as previously requested

Toggle Auto rotation
Toggle NFC
Will be fixed next.
Just a heads up, the battery and signal bars are lined up properly

Just copy the .hwt theme file to HWTheme folder on internal storage. Open theme apps select the theme.
