As the title says, are there any custom kernels?
I'm basically looking for ways to extend the life of this older tablet
So far i have FDE module installed through magisk and I'm looking for more ways to squeeze any last bit of performance out of this old thing

[Q] What benefits does rooting bring to the Streak?

I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S and there was a great improvement in perfomrance with a filesystem fix as well as access to custom Roms via ROM manager. What benefits will I get with rooting the Streak? Is there any big performance boost I can get out of it?
with mine being rooted used steakdroid and found the could increase cpu speed, battery was lasting longer and not bogged down with dell ui which had various apps running
Just having the device rooted itself is half the fun. Being able to do whatever you want on it with no restrictions!
Personally I don't do anything that really needs a performance boost.I think it's quick enough in my opinion. Will probably be looking into Underclocking to increase battery performance. Would still be interested in your results though if you try.

[Q] GT-I8910N Kernal and Rom help

Hi there guys and gals. Having a bit of a problem with an S3 Mini exact model is GT-I8910N. Not my first Samsung root as I've done an S2 with dual boot kernel before. My question doesn't relate to which is the best. I am asking for viable ROMs which will reduce battery drain and overclock my cpu. I've used cyanogen on a g2 back in froyo. I've looked into virginity too and the crossover script part confuses me as I've normally just gone through odin and dealt with prepackaged kernels and roms. Which have it all combined. So I am looking for advice on roms but all viable roms not which is best. I can make that choice myself essentially. I'm wanting one with a reduced battery drain. CPU overclock. Bloatware removed and reduced down to as minimal as possible. An explanation of crossover would be greatly appreciated as well as known alternatives. Also am I limited to what types due to the N? I've read there's also an L and an International versions. Assuming that mine is an N as it's in the model number as seen in screenshot. Also is a rollback needed?

Best Kernel settings for battery and performance?

Hey everyone!
First of all, I hope I'm writting in the right subforum.
Anyway, I've first rooted my OPX and flashed it with SultanROM about 2 or 3 months ago, with hopes of getting more out of my phone. Fast forward to the present time, and I've accumulated some knowledge on the whole ROM - Kernel tweaks and have changed now to CM13 ROM and flashed Arsenic Kernel after.
Then I found out Kernel Adiutor and saw that I can basically now tweak Arsenic even more, with many functions of the said app.
I just want to get a discussion going on what did you guys do to achieve better battery life ( i currently avg about 3-3,5h SOT), without sacrificing the performance too much, as all the options I have available in Kernel Adiutor are still a bit confusing to me.

It is worth changing the device rom?

Hello everyone, I just bought this phone and I wonder if it shows a lot of difference when installing any of the roms that I have seen through this same forum.
The aspects that interest me to know are above all that such is the quality of the cameras in other roms, is there much difference in the battery? And how about the overall performance of the phone?
Finally I would like you to advise me what would be the best rom for this device and if there are links to other posts to root and install twrp (I am currently in stock 10, in case the procedures change)
Thanks for reading!

In my opinion, stock Android is really boring. You can't customize it or tweak it in any way. Evolution X has a better battery backup than stock ROM.
The camera performance in stock Android is fine. You can get even better quality with GCam. But, the oversaturated screen ruins the photography experience.
With evolution X, you can calibrate the screen. You can check out the values I use. ->https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a3/review/color-saturation-accuracy-t3962056/post82758721
In my opinion this greatly improves the overall phone experience.
I waited for a while before i flashed evox bcz I didn't want to miss on the ota updates and official support but those really suck and flashing a new rom is just much better and you don't loose anything really, for me everything works much better than stock rom, battery and performance are much better and the customisation is gold
I really liked the stock ROM, but for me the phone was randomly rebooting on Stock. This happened a few times while I was navigating while driving and it was infruiating so I made the switch. I'm quite happy with crDroid right now, since it has less bloat even than the stock ROM, but if you're not having any issues on stock, I'd suggest to stay on stock because there is a learning curve with flashing custom stuff on every phone, you will have to brick your phone a few times to properly install a custom ROM and that requires time + patience. For me it was worth it, since the phone doesn't randomly reboot anymore.
In my opinion, the best custom rom till now is MIUI 11 with Magisk installed. It's super fast + tons of great features. I'm sure we'll get MIUI 12 also, since its been released for CC9e. Give it a try and you'll love it.
Changing ROM is good, personally I bought this phone because of Stock Android with minimum bloatwares. However with stock Android comes a price of customizations. With a custom ROM, you can achieve all that and still control many features of your phone. I have changed ROM to EvolutionX and it's pretty good ROM which I am using as a daily driver. It got some bugs thought but so does stock Android 10 ROM.

[REQUEST] Custom Kernel Request for OnePlus Nord N10 5G

I'm looking for someone willing to help development of a custom kernel for this phone forward, as there aren't any options for it at this time, and the stock kernel definitely has some room for improvement for battery life and/or performance. I'm 100% willing to be a tester to help along bug finding and such, but I do not know how to modify kernel code let alone what it really does. I appreciate everything the modding community does and want to help in any way I can!
Edit: I forgot to add the obligatory first time poster, long time lurker disclaimer, so here it is.
Check my post for a Ktweak magisk module & script....its improved my battery life & performance quite a bit. I'm looking into the Nord version of the EX Kernel and getting it for the N10
KTweak -- Nord N10 5g
Hey there everyone! So since rooting my N10 I've noticed some decreased battery efficiency. In hopes to recover and possibly increase it I've taking the KTweak for the google pixel 4 series and adapted it for the N10. While using the script...

Yeah, I saw the KTweak module. My issue with stock kernel is the input boost that cannot be turned off and the extreme swappiness with the zram. Otherwise, I'm impressed with the power of the phone.
