I have been using a pattern to unlock my phone when the screen turns off.
All of a sudden I am now first having to swipe a picture that looks like a lock to the right and then use my pattern to unlock the phone.
How do I get rid of the lock swipe so that I only have to draw my pattern?
I have attached a pic of the lock screen that I am trying to remove, not sure how it was turned on
Searching a way to show on the lock screen my next meetings.
Tried Next Lock Screen but even disabling the Emui lock password and magazine unlock the Next lock screen appear only at the second power button press and next I need to unlock also the standard lock screen, really annoying. SnapLock also have the same problem.
Does anyone find a solution to install widget or show calendar events on the lock screen?

Appear this is an old not resolvable problem
As the heading says, if i choose not to lock screen (pin, password, Gesture) fingerprint recognition will not work when trying to use secured (Banking) apps.
Known issue? any way around this?
Is it possible to unhide notifications with face unlock on lock screen?
I have enabled swipe up to unlock the phone after face scanning.
Just like how iphone works with its face id, notifications are hidden until you scan and then they just unhide. Is there any way to make this happen?

I am really struggling to view the contents of the WhatsApp messages by only unlock lock screen with face id. I am a person who like to view the message first without open whatsapp apps.
Any ideas on how?

still not working. cannot view content of whatsapp.
Not sure since I'm Dutch but I do have the option to show the message once my face is recognized. You should have it to.

Because you locked the app using face id. If you wanted to view from lockscreen. You just double tap the WhatsApp notification on lock screen. It will unlock the phone and go into home screen and show you the notification without opening the app

yup. i locked the app but before this new update (EMUI 9.1.0.300) i can view my wtsapp notification content without touch anything on lockscreen. just like 'smart notification'. but now it seem has removed the smart lock notification from face id setting. so is there because of the huawei policy or anything else?
Something related or they simply make it more secure. As now app can be locked using just face id / fingerprint / pattern / passcode or all together.
So I guess they remove the function for better reliability
just watch the notification in the pull down hahaha

I deactivated the app lock for whatsapp app and unlock just using face id.
