Asus ROG live wallpapers and stock wallapers. - ASUS ROG Phone II Themes, Apps, and Mods

I managed to extract all the live wallpapers and stock wallpapers from ROG phone 2.
I've also mentioned it in the device explanatory thread.
Don't know whether anyone has exported it as I'm too late already, but this is the full set of high resolution wallpapers !
( From the same guy who ported LG G8's live wallpapers ! )
Here's the download link :

Is anyone else having a problem with the phone (Tencent Version, stock CN Rom) changing the wallpaper from custom back to stock whenever it is locked for a while? If I set the phone to a live wallpaper from the Play Store and leave the phone locked for a while, when I unlock it the phone is back to the "orange 3-pointed symbol" (second wallpaper from the post above mine) Asus wallpaper instead of the one I chose. It has done this dozens of times now. If I had steps to uninstall/disable all of the Asus stock wallpapers, that would probably fix it. It doesn't make any sense to be happening in the first place though.

I have the same phone but my problem started with the latest update. Now I can find a way to make Developer option work & lost USB internet connection...

Need Joker Stock Theme For My ROG 2. Wallpaper Must Be Normal When In Normal Mode And Joker Must Smile When We Put Phone In X Mode. Any chance Getting This.

I unlocked the hidden Tencent themes on my WW device but they appear all blurry, and I'm pretty sure it caused me to bootloop when I restarted my device while one of the themes were applied.
Some localization issue or something more advanced? There's got to be a way to make it work on WW.

Changing Lockscreen Wallpaper & Start Menu Wallpapers Seperately

Hi all,
I was wondering, is it possible to change the lockscreen wallpaper & the start menu wallpaper seperately?
(Start menu wallpaper is when you press the windows icon and you see tools, multimedia, games, etc folders).
I want to have a photo as my lockscreen wallpaper but have a complete white background for my start menu wallpaper. At the moment i can only seem to have one wallpaper for both screens.
Am currently using the latest version of cookies (1.8.5) and cookie home tab editor (1.8.5.1). See my signature for Rom details.
Many thanks.
Its been asked a few times mate and as far as an answer goes at the min its no : I would like this option also

Hope it's in the works....Would like that feature too
why don't you use cookies lockscreen ....if it has no issues.
dudes, i tried to answer a nearly similar question here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=727553
the OP in that thread hasn't responded but i guess you guys might be interested to try some of the ideas there and report back if/what works for you.
honestly, the way the forum is currently broken up is horrendous...and add to that the fact that most threads are started in the wrong sections...*sigh*

''setting wallpaper'' issue solved alternatively

Hi guys,
I guess everyone is having problem, setting their favourite wallpapers on honeycomb. Because whenever we try to set wallpaper, it asks for cropping and after applying cropped wallpaper becomes blurred [like it zommed in the wallpaper]......
some people said to use wallpaper wizardrii app but honestly it didnt help me at all....it still crops the picture and sometimes make it blurred.
so my solution to set desired wallpaper without cropping is very very simple but as i said this is just an alternative not the perfect solution.
just download live wallpaper called ''WATERIZE LIVE WALLPAPER '' , install it and then open it. By default it will have stones background. Go to settings and choose custom background of yourchoice. Apply it. Thats it. Now you have wallpaper of your choice without cropping. Its so easy and plus it adds the effect of water ripples on your wallpaper which looks so cool. Try out.
this is my alternative way to set background without cropping but little sacrifice is its live wallpaper but i would really love to use this until google solve this issue on honeycomb.
i have provided the link for download.
if anyone likes this then please comment
And i see, you must use the full version to get the option custom image.
Use Wallpaper Wizardii from the market
'Wallpaper for Tablets' in the market solves the problem as well.
Also, 'MultiPicture Live Wallpaper'
Both are free, and allow you to perfect you wallpaper on the tab.
+1 for multi live wallpaper
+1 Wallpaper for Tablet. Works great. No more crop

How do you use this program? When I install it, I can't open it. I've tried to reboot also.

it works great thanks for sharing
What is the exact wallpaper size if using wallpaper for tablet? 1280 x 800 ?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
The problem is that using these programs you apply a live wallpaper like a static wallepaper ...... and that this decreases the speed of toucwiz.
I think 1920x1408 resolution is best for our honeycomb tablets. But this multi live wallpaper software make the images fit to screen so u dont need to worry. Otherwise for perfect size try the above resolution....i will upload some wallpaper collection when i m free.

thanks to refer me this amazing software. I installed it long ago but at that time i was new to honeycomb so didnt notice the setting menu of multi live wallpaper but now i installed again and looked into the setttings and when i applied. ...i found that this software is ****in awesome. I love the way it has difffernt wallpaers on each screen and specially the screen transition effect is glorious.
One question though, being a live wallpaper and changing wallpaper on time intervals itself, do u think it will consume more ram and subsequently battery?
I wish it just use battery like a static wallpaper.
Another app that I used previously (although it was on my phone and not on my tablet) was "Wallpaper Set and Save".
Wallpaperwizadrrii and multipicture all compress the picture and degrade the quality.
I have yet to see a solution that maintains quality AND doesnt crop.

That's incorrect.
As I said in another thread, when using a stock Honeycomb ROM and/or ADW the standard rules of Android wallpaper sizing apply.
You take the screen resolution in portrait and double the width and that's the size the wallpaper should be to fit perfectly. Obviously you can scale up or down from there if you really want to but the ratio will stay the same.
There is a question-mark as to whether TouchWiz changes the way wallpapers are selected/size but since I really don't like TouchWiz, I haven't investigated.

The BEST solution and a little more OPTIONS is MULTI-LIVE WALLPAPER..It looks Semi-Challenging to use but it really isn't..It allows you to set each screen with a specific wallpaper or you can have it cycle to different ones throughout your wallpaper folder..I have it set so that it cycles thru as I change Home screens..Don't let the Name fool you..It is IMO the BEST ONE OUT..Try it and see for yourself..You can also set it to FILL your SCREEN!!!Also the screen TRANSITIONS are AWESOME..And its 100% FREE!!!!

I'm still new to xda, but are posts like these how people get their thanks meter up?
Do any of these allow you to change the lockscreen background?

The firmware allows you to change the lockscreen wallpaper, Settings > Screen > Screen display.
You just need to size it up in the manner I laid out in the thread I linked-to.

Asus Widgets

Hi...
I did not see this posted in the GSP threads so I am putting a link for anyone interested in playing with the Asus Widgets with their Galaxy Players.
Just to let everyone know, I did not create or mod any of the widgets so I am not taking any credits for the work. Just providing a link for some cool widgets.
Anyway, I tried all the widgets posted on the link and every one of them work good for my setup. I am using CM9 with dpi set at 190 on my YP-G70 GSP 5.0 INT. I am sure this will work with US version too.
I am not sure, however, if this will work with roms other than ICS roms. If anyone with the GB rom wants to try and report, that would be great.
Please follow directions on the OP of the link.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592068
All these widgets need to be copied to the /system/app folder. Permissions need to be set to rw_r__r__. Reboot and enjoy. You will probably want to back up the original apps (email.apk, exchange.apk and deskclock.apk) into another location for safe keeping in case something goes wrong.
The Asus weather widget is a bit of a problem if you live in the US and require F readings instead of the C reading. The save button is hidden and the settings cannot be saved. You need to temporarily change the DPI to 120 in order to set this widget for F temp reading. At DPI set to 120, you can see a sliver of the "Save" button on the corner at portrait mode. Hit this with your desired settings. Once the settings are saved, you can go back to your original DPI and the widget will still work with your new settings.
So... enjoy...

[Q] Wallpaper Settings Anywhere On Prime?

Is there a setting somewhere, anywhere that would allow the actual wallpaper to be used instead of cropping it or automatically zooming in on the image??
This is driving me crazy...:silly:
I tried Wallpaper Wizardrii, QuickPics, PicSpeed and they all seem to enlarge the wallpaper to an either blocky, pixelated mess or zoom in too much and cut half of the image out.
I also tried making wallpapers in Photoshop the exact size as the stock Asus wallpapers but they still end up zoomed in or cropped...
Even the stock wallpapers are enlarged...
Could it be the ROM (AOKP) or something??
I've never had an issue like this before and I'm pretty sure that when my Prime was brand new the stock wallpapers weren't enlarging like they are now...I remember they were perfectly sized to fit the screen...
I've been through many threads and forums and Google searches but I can't seem to fix this.
Any/all help is appreciated.

yeah that's how I am doing it...I go into the gallery, choose the image I wanna use then select PicSpeed and it opens up, gives me the choice to rotate or crop the image in 3 different styles or "use original"...I still get the zommed/cropped image as the end result.
maybe I'll uninstall then re-install it (PicSpeed) and that will correct something...or maybe fix permissions...can't figure it out because when I first installed PicSpeed it was working fine.
sorry cannot be more helpful since I do not have access to PicSpeed so cannot try it out myself.

Crowdsourcing Ideas for my Nexus 10

Hello.
So basically, I bought a Nexus 10 last week and I finally learned how to fix the wallpaper. I got two different wallpapers. One for landscape and one for portrait mode. Now what my idea is here, is to crowd-source how I will setup and theme and make my Nexus 10 look. I'm not going to root it (maybe in the future but not now yet).
So I want suggestions, ideas, anything on how I should set it up and make it look good. The things I definitely want on my home screens:
1. World Clock
2. Weather
3. Twitter (Falcon Pro)
4. News (Flipboard and maybe others)
5. Whatever else you people suggest
I look forward to all your responses,
Crazysah
I like to put the clock asnd all my main apps on the middle page. Then the weather on the left screen with tools that I use. My screen to the right has all games. On the last screens I set up a music/media page and a power optimization page with all my root tools. Hoe this helps
Sent from my Xperia Play (r800x)
And what specific apps do you use for them? Anyone else want to give suggestions?
If you want a bunch of ideas, try this out --> http://mycolorscreen.com/?os=android
