Asking for Rooting OPPO A5 - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I have bought an Oppo A5 phone few months ago. Since then I am searching for rooting this device. But unfortunately I couldn’t find anything about it's rooting method.
I, being a rooted user previously, desperately need to root this phone of mine too. All I find about Rooting Method for Oppo A57. I searched and saw Oppo A5 and Oppo A57, both are different device.
Can anybody help out by teaching me the method to Root my OPPO A5 device?
Thanks in advance.

There is a way to root the device, however it doesn't seem to be very beneficial as the process also breaks some stuff like mobile SIM signal loss or corrupted NvRecovery. The only thing we should do now is to wait for someone to port a new custom ROM like Lineage or things like that to this phone and to replace the OS entirely.
But in case you're still curious about it, I found this rooting tutorial posted back in 2017. Note that it might be outdated so proceed with your own risk
Man I hate ColorOS so bad, can't wait to see someone to come up with a new custom ROM for this thing

blu vivo 6 custom rom

Apologies for posting in this section, but there does not seem to be a section for the vivo 6.
Are there any custom roms available for the blu vivo 6?
Back in November there were articles about many blu phone's shipping with a privacy invasive app that sent data such as contacts and messages back to a chinese company. I know that this particular issue was fixed in an update to the affected phones, but now my trust in the stock vivo 6 rom is lost, and I would really like to replace it with something else.
Thank you.
Hey,
Did you find any answers anywhere? I can seem to find a way to root let alone any custom roms?
Thanks

No I've not found a custom rom or root either. However I have discovered that this phone is a rebrand of the gionee s6 pro: gsmarena.com/gionee_s6_pro-8139.php There exists some rooting methods and a custom recovery for this phone forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/qmobile-z14-gionee-s6-pro-root-custom-t3483000 however I've not got any of them to work on the blu vivo 6 yet.
I have updated my post use the same post to root Blu Vivo 6
Custom rom for Vivo 6
I have the same question just bought Vivo 6 and heard about this spyware apps that blu installs on some models. So is it anyone how've made a custom ROM? or at least who know how to root blu 6?
I've searched a lot as well and can't find anything about custom ROMs. Has there been anything? My girlfriend bought one of these last year and it seems quite outdated...

You know you can use ANY launcher you desire. And, if you don't like Start, you can disable it. Personally, I have disabled Start and use Nova launcher.
King Root adds so much adware and Spam to your phone and then finally says it is not supported. I will try disabling Start and using some other launcher if it gives me my real Android look.

Unlocked booloader and root

I see that noneof the recent Oppo flagships in India like f3,f5 and f7 don’t have bootloaders which are unlockable or atleast have root. Is this phone also going to follow the same suite or will it ever rootable ? Any ideas?

Not my link, just found this.
I always thought mediatek doesn't release their source kernel codes, so you can't root or flash to custom roms. Anyway, looks like this is not the case anymore?
That looks fake bro. If there is a working root and twrp , it will be first here on XDA not somewhere else.

I don't own a Oppo realme 1 but that one is probaly fake. The real me doesn't even have TWRP and then he tells us to install twrp, download supersu zip which is normal but then he tell us to wipe system, data, cache and internal storage? Then we have to flash the superSu zip and Gapps? The superSU itself is not a ROM. This is written for fame and his page is full of ads, not recomended to follow his instruction. BTW, he doesn't provide download link.
Has anyone managed to root the phone ?
Hey, do any developer trying to unlock and root?and what do u think its unlockable or not? And if we succeed in unlock and root will we able to use gcam on mediatek chipset if gcam works on real me 1 then it will be a game changer
Gcam

Even if there is root, Gcam won’t work on Mediatek chipsets. That is out of question.

I also thought colour os sucked, but it is not bad as I thought it would be. I would say go for this phone as this is the best value for money and don't have a crappy flash sale.
Going by the youtube reviewers, the camera is very good for the price. Maybe in future there will be GCam available but as of now, the stock is good it seems.

Fake. How can you flash anything without unlocking bootloader? Please don't share such stupid sites which just copy paste same tutorial for every phone.

Guys politely spam realme's Twitter handle, they're responding to individual dms and tweets
Realme1 need some custom ROM .. please developers ...I've heard that oppo can't reveal the unlocking bootloader policies and OEM . Color os sucks . Oppo has denied to provide unlocks.

Root for ZOJI Z8 (MTK-6750)

Hi guys, I got this ZOJI Z8 recently, nice phone btw, it runs with mediatek mtk 6750, I successfully unlocked bootloader on it, but now I really need root to get rid of the stock ROM.. I've tried mtk Droid but it doesn't recognize the phone (I think it is a little too new for mtk Droid), so if anyone has another way for trying to root this thing I'd be really thankful. Thanks in advance, have nice day.
Considerations:
- I've tried every one click root tools via APK or PC, never had any faith on them but I was ready on trying anything.
- I'm Brazilian, so that's why my English may sound a little odd.
- my name is Thales, Just in case.
M10 plus
Hey! I need help. I bought a phone that looks like Huawei mate 10 pro but the phone brand is M10 plus. I mistakenly flashed a wrong boot image and afterwards I tried to flash a rom on it and the phone will not just power on. The original android on the phone is MTK6572 android 4.1. Please what can I do and how do I fix this? Thank you

Root problems

Hi, I just want to ask if is there already happened that You thought, the phone can't be rooted, but a couple of months, there's a news of how to root that phone, because every day every day I'm really expecting way how to root Oppo a3s, because I really want to over clock my phone,if there's the only way how to change governor to performance, but nothing, I really hope someone can root Oppo a3s, I just bought my Oppo a3s last October 2018,at first every online game I play is on 60FPS, but every game updates and updates in a couple of months, it's really gets frame drop , and I'm really gets sck playing rhythm or touch games, now I'm thinking of buying Mi note 7, but I really feel so bad about my phone that never been one year to me, I've lot's of phone, and all of them are rooted and I just can't help using rooted phone because every rooted phone I have is over clocked, but the problems of my rooted phones are some of them can't install high apps versions or not compatible of software, now I really want to root my Oppo a3s so bad, I found in Google that using kingo root can root Oppo a3s, but I get scared my phone will get bootloop, because that already happened to my Samsung note, and never ever use because even factory mode is not working, I really hope someone can root Oppo a3s
Sorry for my bad English, I hope dev can read this tread thank you
As for your note you can reflash stock rom using note.
And for your Oppo. Use kingroot after it gets rooted. Make sure to flash custom recovery as soon as you aquire root. Then unroot using kingroot and flash supersu using twrp.
