Dual WiFi - OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Questions & Answers

I have the Oppo Reno 5G global and i didn't find the dual WiFi option. Any idea where i can find it ?

I've got some news from Oppo Europe. Dual WiFi option will be available only on chinese version (still beta now). If you want it on your global device, you have to wait for a next generation of Oppo phone or maybe buy right now a ViVo Nex 3 5G that also have the dual WiFi option ...

Wait... Oppo have said that if you want dual WiFi on your device, you have to buy a new phone?
That makes no sense in any language

Nope only for few apps ..it's not system wide and i dont see any improvements.

This is more of a wifi auto switching rather utilising both wifi at the same time based on the description . Nothing exciting here!
1. Your phone can connect to two wifi networks in 2.4ghz and 5ghz bands respectively or to a dual-band wifi network.
2. A previously-used wifi network will be selected as the secondary wifi.
3. When the primary wifi is disconnected or then the connection of the secondary wifi is too poor, the secondary wifi will be automatically disconnected.

Does X829 have T-Mobile VoLTE and wifi-calling?

I am about to buy LeMax 2 X829 cuz it supports full 3G (1700/2100) and LTE (2,4,12) on T-Mobile (US).
But I must have native wifi calling feature.
Does it come with VoLTE and wifi-calling?
If it doesn't, what kind of ROM do I need to install?
Thanks in advance.

VoLTE available stock rom, and wifi-calling, I don't known!
thank you for your comment.
is there any stock rom that I can flash to have that feature on?
What bands are supported on x829? I think they are different compared to x820..?
829 supports most of US bands. 820 does not support tmo 3g bands (1700/2100 B4) but supports all LTE bands (2,4,12).

Hi,
I have the X829 6gb/128 version, and i can confirm that wifi and VoLTE work on T-Mobile.
Phone was purchased from eFox, and it was shipped with the notorious
leaked American Rom (5.8.16s). Hope this helps.
Yes definitely has wifi calling n volte on tmo, you wont see any option for it till you put in a tmo sim, but after you do and boot up it's there. I have a silver and a gold x829 both 4/64, both bought at tinydeal with coupon "199LX829" silver is $192 the gold is $194. I paid extra $7 each for DHL express And the one I ordered Friday night came Tuesday at noon, the Next ordered Tuesday got it Friday. Couldn't have been happier. If your american theres no customs but Visa and Mastercard will charge an extra 3-3.5% to convert currency so calculate an extra $6-$7, paypal is 2.5% if you pay with them. Had 1 phone a week other for 4 days and 0 issues yet. Both benchmark around 130k in antutu and turn in 4k/1750 in Geek.
hi JohnnySJ, you mean T-Mobile in USA or Germany

VoLTE should work on O2/Vodafone/Telekom but they have very restricted compatibility lists... don't know if those lists actually mean anything
even subsidiaries (i.e. otelo) of those 3 don't work - let's not talk about small independend providers

Stock rom that it came with.
Just a suggestion since I believe someone was asking where to get it. I bought two fro gearbest it only to about a week for each to get to my house. I live in Oklahoma.
I wish Leeco would release source. I have WiFi calling working in rooted EUI (via T-mobile), but no custom ROM that I tried that has WiFi calling built into the ROM has yet worked. Kind of a bummer, because I cannot stand EUI. RR & LineageOS has been my favorite custom ROM thus far. Unless there is a trick I am not aware of to get it functioning in other ROMs.

I installed Dirty Unicorns
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/development/x82x-dirty-unicorns-7-1-2-t3593864
Enabled WiFi calling, and it has been working. I was able to see the WIFi calling traffic via tcpdump from my router, so I am fairly sure it is working in that ROM.
**Edit**
My mistake. Using Dirty Unicorn AOKP ROM. What I thought was WiFi calling traffic in tcpdump (from my router) was actually traffic being generated from the T-mobile app. The only ROM that I've had both WiFi calling and Volte working flawlessly is stock EUI, unfortunately.

So now you are saying it's down to the device and not the sim card? Instead of just saying stuff how about you research it first - nobody is coming here to listen to half baked guess work ? I have no idea what honor said about volte, but it's becoming such a common feature that an omission would be rather strange.

i have seen the honor 8 pro is supported VOLTE calling , i thougt it is also supporting VOLTE calling because both the devices released in same period, thats y i asked him first "does the sim is LTE cqlling capable" later it is not solved ,so i asked him to see that they mentioned the Volte feature on the box OR not, just lateral thinking .

How can I get volte in honor 9 purchased from China?
I believe your carrier needs to add the support for your phone in their network as well.

A reply came from honor support saying honor 9 supports volte(not in menu though) and will work automatically when used with volte sim.. It will also depend on the availability of carrier service.
You can also check in phone info..

I think this build version has some problem with volte ...that is why it doesnt work.....my sim operator says the phone doesn't come with volte....even after 2 years....i don't know what the problem is...but there is the thing of the phone not being released in my country i.e India. So that might be the problem
Build C432

When will the LTE version be available in China?

Although I already have a LTE tablet (Asus Memopad) and barely use it I'd like to purchase the best version of Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 with this feature. Unfortunately this one is still unavailable in China (where I live) and the MiStore staff doesn't know a clue about when it comes to the store.
Is here anyone who can shed some light on this topic?
I also want the LTE version.. Why? Because the price difference isnt that big and when you need it, it would have it..
Also I would use it in the company to test our android app.
And on many sites you can pre-order the WIFI version but never the LTE.. So my guess would be, that it will need some time :/

Somewhere said it's only for data and not for calling, but not sure if it was reliable source.

I understand that, but without the conventional 2g and 3g means impossible for normal phone call except for volte.
Not all country/telco have the function and good coverage.

General USA version XQ-CT62 received today!!

I just received my Xperia 1 IV USA version today from FocusCamera.com today, I was a little skeptical if it was even the USA version, since it wasn`t shipping from Sony until next week, I originally had pre-ordered on Sony website, then with a little looking around I had found the USA version on ebay in-stock, then I saw the seller name and went to there website yesterday and verified with there live chat that in fact it was in stock and would ship, so I ordered and use next day air shipping, everything works flawless and actually has the 5G bands like my Pixel 6 Pro, so I can get proper 5g speeds, on Band N71, That was missing from the Global version I was using 2 weeks ago, now I need the Firmware from Sony so I can root. I`m a happy camper
Congratulations

yeah I had t-mobile then I switched to GoogleFi last month, and wifi calling works perfect, inside my work place service from all carriers suck, since it big steel building, but my Xperia 1 IV will say emergency calls only, but I can receive calls and make calls and receive text, ad everything just like had full bars of carrier service.
I guess you were not able to root it?
To know exactly how capable the device is then its necessary take modem logs and let smart people parse it.

Unfortunately not, so this will be going back for refund, I can`t justify spending 1600.00 on phone and not able to root and do with it what I want with it, but there`s always the global version I could go back too, I`m going return it and wait and see if Sony does eventually allow it to unlock the bootloader, until then I`ll just use my Pixel 6 pro for now.

Should be both on all versions, USA model difference is mmWave support.

You can know that without buying phone. Download the firmware with xperifirm, extract modem.img and use ELFextract to extract your hw variants .mbn file. This will reveal the carrier/band policy files (in policyman folder) which live in the modem. There you can see which bands are enabled for specific operators and if they are enabled for SA and NSA.
