i havent tried, but i am also eager to know about this.. but as far as i know our device has Usb type c 2.0 but not 3.1
so, i heavily doubt the MHL support

I tried with my type-c to HDMI hub and it doesn't work. Didn't work in my Note 7 either so no surprise for me.

Cheap controller bought from the local market

I have ordered USB OTG from Flipkart and I am also having a cheap controller brought from the market. So when USB OTG gets delivered I will try playing games with the controller and report back to you. I hope that it works.

Regarding the roms am like
Stock->custom->custom->stock->
Currently on sgalaxy chd 4.3 for a while perfect bugless rom!
Will cyanogenmod or other kernel supports OTG ???

I want OTG support too maybe its because the kernel, idk but maybe later supporte can be added if the problem is the kernel but you can use a 3rd party app for now

I need it because suppose my friend has a pendrive with movies on it then it would be awesome to copy instantly on the go without need of LAPTOP

I too wish otg support...But CM11 and new kernels are still under building process.. So keep waiting...

I'm switched to cm snapshot now and the mi remote on play store does not provide settings for major DTH carriers in India.
Hence I request anyone on MIUI Global ROM to provide the apk file of Mi Remote app . Thanks in advance ☺

Hey you should try Anymote app from play store,it has pre built profiles for all carriers...even the cable ones like Den,Sun and hathaway etc.

I use rcoid its programmable and can use a homepage as your remote . not sure if it will have ur device already but should

Can I infer that Mi remote also has a lirc conf file somewhere?
Do you know where in the data I might find it? Is it in a similar location as a debian install?
There's a TV in the house that isn't programed, yet I have the physical unit.
I have Banana pi, so generating my own conf file is simple.

Lineage OS has been a great custom ROM for users who wanna move away from MIUI. Although it has been overlooking the feature for casting or wireless display for a while now and I really use this feature alot so I have to keep using MIUI because of this. So please if this functionality could be added

You mean casting from miracast? That feature disabled since lollipop by google. They want you to use chromecast, although there's workaround for enable this feature again with build.prop edit but I forgot

Tried it but did not work
Cast screen does not work on resurection remix also.adding line to biuld.prop does not help. Cast screen wotks perfectly on miui.

The same problem for me. I have Xiaomi Redmi 3. With MIUI i've had perfect screen cast, but with Lineage OS 7.1 it's written "No devices found".
