Bootloader unlock check - Huawei Mate 20 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello
Is there an app, which can help me to check whether the bootloader is unlocked or locked?
Or what is the simplest way to check bootloader status?

Boot to fastboot/bootloader mode.
On huawei :
Hold VolumeDown key at boot before it vibrates WHILE with USB plugged in to PC.
If it shows 'Phone locked' that means bootloader is locked.

[Q] Wt19i - Question regarding access to fastboot & unlock bootloader

For the sake of this question I have a locked bootloader on a wt19i. The phone is rooted. (It's my friend's phone but I'm voicing a theory). It can't enter fastboot mode and the bootloader unlock status is: not allowed.
Armed with the IMEI number,
If I did a TA backup via Octopus Suite 1.0.3,
Then, (following methods seen in this thread: http://goo.gl/QNKxS Third post down.) to force the phone into fastboot, start a firmware (re)install in PC Companion. During that process the phone will enter fastboot mode. If I stop the process there [in Windows Task Manger], then the phone will get stuck booting only into fastboot mode (until I finish putting firmware .tft back on it).
THEN I use SE Bootloader Unlocking v1.6 {Found here: http://goo.gl/JxDmY }. I give it my IMEI, it gets an unlock code and I connect the phone - in fastboot - and select "Unlock BL" to unlock the bootloader.
Then restore TA, followed by a restore of firmware.
Would this unlock the bootloader or brick the phone?
Corrections and answers welcome.

I checked the thread you were referring to,
the process they are doing there is to access flash mode...
fastboot is completely different, can only be accessed if bootloader is unlocked.
based also on the bootloader unlock status: not allowed, this means phone is network locked, unlocking of bootloader would not work thru available methods in xda.
you would to pay in order to remove the network lock and then unlock bootloader

This would not unlock the bootloader,
Brick the phone, not sure, but it would probably wont, good thing you have a backup.
You can always do a flashing of stock firmware thru flashtool or wotanserver.

The problem is you tried to use that tool and the moment you have typed your IMEI and pressed get unlock code, you lost your warranty. So you have no warranty anymore!!
Now you will have to desimlock and after that you can just hope fasboot is enabled.
Install flashtool, open the installation folder > drivers and install all drivers for all devices. Install the android sdk (please better look in my signature to see how to set up android sdk and flashtool and replace the usb drivers). Then try to enter fastboot mode like explained in the threads

[Q] KATE Official BootLoader Unlock

Hello all... has anyone managed to unlock kate device with official method? i am trying and gets stuck at 50%....
if yes how?
Few days ago search something about 50% bug and it`s seems that till today nobody unlock Kate with official way. Yet here is probably only unofficial method http://en.miui.com/thread-345728-1-1.html Or you can wait till Xiaomi remove this bug.

Hello, I unlocked my kate version the official way. First I unlocked it using unofficial method, but I got the permission to unlock the bootloader. I flashed the "Global Developer" fastboot rom using MIFlash, which locked my bootloader. Then, I rebooted my device into fastboot mode and unlocked it using the MiFlash Unlock tool.

Did you setup Mi account on the device after ROM flashed or just restarted to Fastboot after cleanboot?

Yes, I did setup MI account(the one on which I requested the permission) and synced it once before booting the device into the fastboot mode. Make sure to enable OEM unlock and USB debugging before fastboot.

did u also associate the xiaomi id with the phone under Mi unlock status in dev options?
It is another step which is failing on my device. It says it can't verify the device and ask me to retry after 1 or 2 minutes, forever.

Lenovo A916 can't unlock bootloader

Hello, I'm trying to unlock my bootloader. My model number is Lenovo A916. I am noob about this and just try to go through. I have followed this steps using ADB:
1. adb reboot bootloader
2. fastboot oem unlock
But after this, message pops up "... press Volume+ to continue, and Volume- to cancel", if i press "Volume+" button, nothing happens, and if i press "Volume-" button, operation cancels. In normal boot, my volume up works fine, but it doesn't work when i want to unlock the bootloader
What i should do to fix it?
Is there any apps that I can control from pc to click volume+ to say yes to unlock bootloader?
Or there are another way to unlock bootloader?
Please help me, thanks.

How to Relock bootloader

Hello
How to Relock bootloader for huawei mate 10 lite RNE-L21C185
Thanks
any answer
If it's anything like Mate 10 Pro, get into bootloader using adb or phones physical keys, confirm phone is connected to pc using 'fastboot devices' cmd, then type fastboot oem relock unlock_number. The unlock_number will be the number you used to unlock the bootloader in the first place.

Question Stuck in fastboot mode

Hello everybody,
My phone's battery died and I charged it. When I tried to turn it on, I saw this screen. I've tried clicking on the options but it's stuck in a loop and I don't understand what's happening.
If anyone has experienced this issue before, I'm reaching out for your help. Please assist me.
Flashing factory firmware in fastboot might be the only option. Doing such will wipe everything on your device though!

Since your bootloader is locked the only way to flash the OS is to sideload the Full OTA via ADB or use Pixel Flasher to sideload it. If you happen to have OEM Unlocking enabled in Developer Options you can use Android Flash Tool as that will unlock your bootloader as long as OEM Unlocking is enabled. If it isn't, sideloading the OTA will be the only way to reinstall your OS to hopefully get you out of this.

Oops! You are right, mate.
Hello so I am stuck here
When I go to Android Flash Tool it's says :
"Device Unlock DisabledFor security reasons, you need to enable "OEM unlocking" in order to flash your device. "
And when I tape in CMD the command "faastboot falshing unlock" it says
"FAILED (remote: 'flashing unlock is not allowed')
fastboot: error: Command failed"
Is there a way to unlock the devices states I have seen a video when
when a guy is using a unlock.bin he download at LG offcial site. Does Google have an alternative where can I download this type of file for my Pixel 6.
Google doesn't have an alternative. If you can't flash the OTA, and apparently you can't because OEM unlocking wasn't enabled in developer options, you need to get a hold of Google and explain your situation to them. You'll likely have to send it back to them, if able to do so.
You can't enable OEM unlock by fastboot/recovery.
Can you boot into recovery?
If yes, then this is your only way out!
Link
Use image of OTA, not Full!

Unfortunately, it is not possible as my phone is showing that it is locked and I am unable to access the settings to unlock the OEM, since I am stuck in fastboot mode. Guess it's dead only if there is a way to unlock the OEM without going to setting.

You misunderstood!
You don't get to do anything from fastboot with OEM locked.
I asked if you can enter RECOVERY mode?
If yes, then visit the link I shared.
btw, why on earth you are flashing 'adb'?

Unfortunately, when I go into recovery mode, it keeps looping back to the original screen in an infinite loop.
I lost hope and went to a repair shop, but they told me to contact Google. The customer service will send me a package to return my phone. I didn't know that the OEM was so important, I will activate it next time. Tanks for your helps ...
