Hi!
Please, I wish to know if someone have some tip to get working the screen wakeup with the volume key for the Huawei Ascend G700!!
I recently aquired a this cellphone (Mediatek Quadcore 1,3 ghz 5" IPS screen), in my opinion a nice device for the bucks.
I come from a Huawei Ascend Y300, with the volume key wakeup mod in it (i must to thank the great help i received from the user VavanL in the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44264908#post44264908 about the volume beep in the screen unlock.
If someone can help me in this i will thank him a lot, cause is very annoying for me always unlocking the device with this little and weak power on button...I remember the key of the thing was this 3 system files
system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl
system/usr/keylayout/querty.kl
system/framework/android.policy.jar

Sadly the G700 (great device by the way) is stuck in android 4.2.1 (waiting to mediatek free the code for the soc).
I see in the mod for the Y300 some devs add the line "WAKE" on the volume key.....but, im stuck with the android_policies.jar, i dont know how to modify them.

I add my untouched files!! Friend, i hope u can do your magic with it. (i have to add generik and qwerty as a rar cause dont let me to upload normally, decompress please).

Oopps...i dont know what i do wrong... i just copy the files from the Cellphone to my pc and then attack it to thread
Tell me what i have to do...
Im so anxious waiting your responses i dont dare to move far away of the notebook :crying:.
There and there also guides how-to deodex stock rom, but it's a bit risky, you do all changes to your own responsibility!!!

But there is no way i can send you the files without do this?
The android 4.2.1 from my cellphone is untouched and i just copy the files, i remember to send u the Y300 files in the same way..
I dont have this kind of knowledge to do what the guide says...

So the best way would be to put a "custom rom" and so this way i can send to you the correct files dont you?
Uffff..... i read is dangerous the deodexing, but im unable to find custom rom for the G700.....

I see they solved the "bootlop error" who many people has when they put the custom recovery.
Would be great if you can help us (there is so much people in the Htcmania.com forum waiting for a clear guide to install some Custom Firmware in there) and nobody do it until now as we can find.

Is so weird, this blog is the only translated method i was able to find....but im a little doubtfull.
It's very similar to that one i found in russian forum.
But they insist, that you must flash stock rom from official site first.
WARNING! For owners of the U10 and U20!!! Before you install a custom recovery compulsory flash stock firmware through "three keys"(Push both volume up (+) and volume down (+) plus Power Switch)!

i have rooted and installed a custom rom with TWRP recovery i have done a backup but without the EFS.
but i have problem imei is empty no Sim card detected both slots and base band = unknown
Bluetooth and WiFi work perfectly trying to fix the problem there is what i do
- hard rest
- installed oxygen 2.1.3
- installed oxygen 2.1.3x
- installed hydrogen
- installed CM12
- i have erase modemset1 and modemset2 flash stock ROM
- erase persist and flash stock ROM
in all i have same problem

You are trying to backup while you should try to restore. There should be option to restore efs from nav, use that. I am not sure how it will work now.

Make sure to enable android debugging in developer mode. Search in the efs professional thread, ask there, people who used that may reply.

Its device specific. My efs backup won't help you. Also it contains sensitive information, so never share that.

You can't possible brick your phone while flashing.It's a myth.And only Nexus devices are known to do so.Chinese devices are tangible and won't do anything to oppose PC's authority.So,Follow the tutorial.I have been flashing firmwares modifying ROMs building kernels for 5 years and only a Nexus 5 was Permanently "Bricked" which was later solved.

It is possible to brick your Z5 if you don't know how to recover IMEI, persist etc. It happened to me and many others on here. I was able to recover my phone thanks to the help of others and the various threads.
The Z5 is much easier to brick than many others I have played with e.g. Oneplus etc. I think the main problem is there is no proper recover software. Qfil doesn't seem to flash everything, it certainly doesn't flash the persist partition.

Never Used a Chinese Device so I don't have a lot of experience with them.But all of my Other devices went well with flashing.I was flashing at least 8-9 Times per day while testing my nethunteros ROM.

Please please Podge , help me please you have experience with this phone so please give me steps to install the stock rom , my phone is new , when i turn it on it show me a message( the bootloader is unlocked and software integrety cannot be guaranteed....)

In this donwload there is the stock rom and guide for flashing it, the translator have called it rooting but it is flashing, if that is the guide which is unclear please ask for clarification, and ill get you on stock rom.

Thank you , i have flashed the ZUI_3.9.075_ST successfully , the phone is run fast now and the camera work , but i don't fond Playstore please how to install it ? also i'm not able to change wallpaper , i click on "set as wallpaper" but nothing shown on the phone screen. any help please !
In the chinise app store on the phone you can install playstore, i do not know anything about the wallpapir

dont do... within a couple of days you will be promped with an ota update in notifications just press install on that. the ota updates is working but the app for checking them manually does not.

i have flashed the ZUI 3.9.200ST and the i have updated it manually to the ZUI 4.0.390ST (downoaded from the Russian site) every thing is working now
Led notification work. there is a problem , for exemple when i receive a message from Messenger , the phone sometimes notify me and sometimes din't
any one can explain this problem ?

There is notch support now but i have not installed it, the only thing i know that does not work is the fm radio.

It would be a good start to inspect a Chinese firmware AND inspect an international firmware.
I doubt it would be encrypted...pretty sure that's illegal as Android is open-source

Decrypting the ROM is not difficult, as we already have the key for PCCM00/CPH1919.

It will be done I'm sure as he seems determined to find a solution for custom ROM. A tall task, but anything is possible.
I came from Samsung A5 (2017) and it took a long time to get that going.

I habe the cph1921 which is the international Reno 10x zoom / Reno 5g so many model numbers and damn names

I have my Oppo bricked (flashed twrp for android 10 above android 11 beta) and moved to Samsung )
So you don't have the actual stock image for this phone if you do I'd really appreciate it if I can get it from you. And I guess I don't understand what you're saying are you telling me that I need to upgrade TWRP or you use that and that's what bricks your phone. Thank you in advance
Hie everyone am stuck flashing Infinix note 7 x690B. The device went into boot loop after attempting to flash magisk patched boot to acquire root access in the device via adb and fastboot tools. I tried to flash the device with Tecno tool and sp flash tool all demanding for the right da file to complete flashing process. Anyone with a solution on this kindly assist.

I tried to root infinix note 7 with magisk . I unlocked bootloader. That was successful. Then i flashed magisk patched boot.img file . After that mobile got into bootloop. Unable to boot now in fastboot mode also. And when try to flash with sp flash tool. It immediately gets disconnected.
Bro you did wrong thing new new phones you have to disable dm verification after flashing a patched boot file in order to bootup mobile successfully. Anyways are you flashing same build as your phone was running on.. Or is it the different build?

it is different. And sp flash tool also gives the error of DA file not ok. Demands DA file for infinix note 7.
Did you try to flash with after sales service tool?

Cm2 dongle seems to do the trick but unfortunately i don't have the dongle neither do any of my friends have it. If i could get anyone with cm2 dongle and remote it to me well and good. Here is my watsapp no +254705980548

Finally *YES* a guy from Syria assisted me. Remoted infinity Cm2 using and by using flexihub usb share completed the long crisis that put my new device lying in the box for 3mnths. God bless Syria.

Whats the problem with your device is it having a boot loop? And do you have infinity cm2 dongle?

Hi,
Please help me too.
I unlocked my bootloader and flashed patch boot img file.
Phone starts but wifi is not working. Also bluetooth keeps force closing.
I do not have cm2 dongle, so if anyone can help me, that would be great.
