Is it good to buy PoCo F1 in BBD sept 2019? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

Guys Currently I am using SAMSUNG GALAXY S7 and planning to buy this device during this BBD for 15k.
As it's been more than a year since POCO F1 was launched, and if I will buy this phone or any other then I am gonna use it for at least 2yrs minimum.
I am very much confused, have so much questions in mind..
1) Will it go that long(2yrs)?
2) Is it worth to buy now?
3) Do you feel the need of an ultra wide lens as of now it's the current trend in market?
4) Does it show screen bleeding or ghost touches?
5) Switching from an amoled to a lcd panel will be bad experience? How is the screen quality?
6) LAST, still there is no news of POCO F2, is it good to buy F1 now or wait for another POCO device with a hope of that it will release soon?
Why I am asking these que. Because I am totally confused right now, Guys please help me out.
Yes ,Redmi K20 pro is another option but it's out of my budget even after price the will get slashed to 25k during BBD.

I'm buying it on big billion days sale this sep
poco is old but It's cutting edge competitive because of the aggressive prize cuts, and whatever phone you gonna purchase now for the 15K would be no match of snapdragon 845, it's still the second-best processor for android out there, also It have ultrafast internal memory UFS 2.1 and you can't go wrong with 6 gb of ram so it's pretty future proof, and you know for what I'm buying this in 2019 even after 1 year of its release, the camera! yes, there is 64 MP camera under this range but I've seen semple up close and I'm getting poco.

Well, the developer who made POCO F1 is retired, no much update now, only if you flash another rom...
so the best way is K20 or 9T, with them you have Snapdragon 855, poco have 845.
I have poco, and I like it and I will no buy another for at least 1 year more, until I broke it...
MIUI 11 will come later, but I don't know if MIUI will work to upgrade android from Pie to Q.
If you like flashing ROMs , testing, etc, its no problem for you.
But.....If it were you (Its me! I like having phone with best processor with lower price xD) , I was going to buy K20 or 9T pro (better that Oneplus 7 about specifications and lower price) because poco have 1 year and all what above user (Ramipro) said..
But if you don't use to play so much like...PUBG with max configs, and found the lower price, its good for daily usage ofc

Bought the POCO F1 since the date released and still don't have intent to change the phone yet. The update is lesser for now since the global beta is shut down but still quite active. I have no problem using it to play Mobile Legend China with Med-high spec. The camera itself is actually not bad, if you are not a professional camera person. For me, there are no screen bleeding nor ghost touches. For the screen well, amoled screen is always good but so I guess this is the cost here (not that I say POCO is bad, just amoled screen is gooood).
Well anyway, the spec of POCO F1 is still quite good for now so if you don't mind of old phone, go straightly buy it. Otherwise I'll just wait POCO F2 or buy newer phone.

This was the only reason I was considering this device, as it has much better development community than one plus devices has right now.
Also you are right about K20pro, it's also the value for money for sd855 because of its a new chipset and better than oneplus 7..
well thank you bro for suggestion, I keep that circumstances in my mind while buying..

I had an F1 and sold it and got the Mi9T. I didn't like the 9T's under display fingerprint sensor (the position and speed of it; I like the tactile feel of a physical button). I sold the 9T and got a used Galaxy S9+. The battery life was terrible. I'm not sure if it was software related or if the battery was too old. However, I returned it, and I've just ordered a new F1. I plan to flash it with ResurrectionRemix or PixelExperience. It's the best phone I've owned (I've owned a lot), and I don't care if it's over a year old.

Wow thats a lot of experience you had with your devices...
Now I am confident about F1, I will buy that, as I will use custom roms only.. But one thing I want to ask that does it have screen bleeding issue when you had your previous F1? My friends who bought have that issue
EDIT-you don't need to answer that, I got it from Caferatte89..

Okay, that means the screen bleeding issue was there only in the first batch when it was released.

I bought the Poco F1 after 3 months it was released and using it for a year and i am very happy with it. Never had touch problems or screen bleeding, i am a casual user, i take photos with google camera and the results are amazing, the only games i play are Vainglory and Auto Chess on 60 fps high settings and everything is buttery smooth. A friend of mine found a deal at a local store here in Romania for 190 euro which i think is a fantastic deal. The battery life is great, i usually get 4-5 h of screen on time and 2 days of usage, i think with Pixel Experience or LOS you can get better battery life but i like MIUI built in features so i am using the latest MIUI 10 with Android 9. Android 10 with MIUI 11 is planned this year. I attached some photos of my holiday so you can see how good the camera is https://drive.google.com/open?id=14g6V9zwMvkKYrV9lHB0Vu8nqdf9vWkvu

Its is a good phone but screen is not that great you gonna notice this more since you were using s7. There is ghost touch problem many people are facing it but performance is good, camera is good enough for the price battery life is great i get 8-9 hrs of screen on time regularly also development is good lots of custom ROMs stuff. So it really depends on your priorities do you really need this performance.
If not there are plenty of other phones with better screen and camera's. Phone with snapdragon 7 series will good enough

Daammmnnnnnn all those clicks were soo good, that it was like clicked from a high end phone. Gcam really did the great job in preserving details in the clicks when compared to stock....Well that's a peace of mind about camera department....
But still one thing I wanna ask ,do you feel the need of an ultra wide lens?

The camera has a wider lens than the competition, i compared it to Mate 20 Pro main camera and Poco camera is wider. Also the difference between the 2 phones are not that big, Poco with GCam is almost the same as the Mate even in night mode. I impressed allot of people with the photos i took, most of the people thought it was a high end smartphone like iPhone, Samsung, Huawei.

Actually I was considering this phone because of highly active development community only, it has lots of custom roms, tweaks, mods etc etc...
I was only confused because last time I bought brand new S7 ,it was one & half yr already old after the launch. In 2017 at that time it doesn't really bothered me because change of trend in smartphone market was not that really fast as of now, but still after some time(5mnths) I felt, at least I should gone for a device which has highly active development because S7 always had a problem either custom rom is not compatible with gcam or if it's compatible then quality of the photo is f**ked up.
But now days smartphone trends has paced up so fast that even after 6months it seems like you are out of the time.
Yaa I know, once you are with the device with such a support of development you are never gonna worry about this thing.
Well the main thing is that, Xiaomi has never spoken a word about Poco, that it is dead even after Jai Mani(head of product) has left the POCO brand.
It's the main point of my confusion, if I buy today F1 and company launches another POCO, then I would regret that I should wait at that time. But if Poco lineup is dead and I bought some other device, then again I would have regret that I left F1, which already has so much development.....
Another thing also confuse me, K20pro is just the appropriate upgrade and a successor to F1, seems like if another poco was to be launched, it was this K20pro. Then I should go for k20pro, but on k20pro I don't like that in-display fingerprint & motorised camera...
This whole sh*t thoughts has put me in a great confusion right now... should I consider F1 or not?

If you have budget around 15k i would suggest just go for it. There is no competition for this price range. I dont there will be poco f2 at this point I think they killed poco for k series. This phone has really good development as there are already Android Q ROMs available at this moment.

I have my Poco for almost one year and I can say that is really good for me.
- Battery is decent to great but it charges from 0 to 100% in almost 2h (I'm ok with that though);
- camera, as it was said, with GCAM, takes nice shots;
- it is planned to get Android 10 with MIUI 11 as well and I think that the community will support it afterwards;
- I really like the face unlock function with IR, works perfect almost every time (in strong light I encountered some delays);
- Fingerprint sensor is really fast and a good location, but somehow, because I got used to the face unlock, I barely use it;
- no overheating;
- I'm using as well MIUI 10 (with franko kernel) cause I like more the face unlock process on it, also the full screen navigation gestures;
- My device has the screen bleeding issue in the bottom side (I got used to it immediately) and had touchscreen issues but got better through the updates (I think it still lags behind other phones, usually in fast scrolling);
- It would've been great to have NFC for mobile payments;
- the design it's quite old with big notch and big chin;
If you mean that you will find it for 15k INR, I think it's worth it

What about ghost touch in Indian version of poco f1

Just buy POCO or give ₹2K extra and buy Asus Zenfone 5Z it's also good with premium design, HiRes earphones in the box. I am buying POCO F1 in the sale from Amazon. If you're buying POCO F1 then buy it from Amazon, because it is ₹1K cheaper in Amazon. ₹15K for 6+128

LG G6 worth the money at this time? July 2018

Hello, Im currently considering buying the LG G6 becouse it is around 310 Euros here. And in this price Range i dont see anything good for this price. I like the Wide angle camera and i saw also that it got Oreo update.
I was looking up for the Oneplus 6 or VG30 which is also 500 Euros. But considering that i will change any phone in 2 years... Dont wanna spend more than 400

Definitely not worth it. Better go for a phone with Snapdragon 660 or 710....
well, as last comment sayd better go with some SD710, if you can wait you can buy a Xiaomi Mi8 SE with SD710 for more 50 dollars more with better specs.
For me it's the best smartphone in this price range. Everything is at least very good, with no downsides.
My girlfriend bought it to replace her iphone after trying mine and she is truly happy with it.
I won't ever spend more than 300-350€ in a phone, because the increase in price is not worth it. And there's no better option. I won't buy a Xiaomi phone because its poor software. Also the Mi8 SE has no ip68, no radio fm, no 3,5 mm jack, no sd card slot, smaller battery... And we'll see what reviews says about its display or camera.

Poor software?! i mean, is not poor, is less intuitive, but with MIUI 10 around the corner it will be better, and feature wise Xiaomi is way better than LG, i can tell you because i already have some Xiaomi's to play for a week or twoo and you can see in my phone history i already have a lot of LG phones and i can tell you:
If LG put half (right, half) of the features of Xiaomi have i can be more happy. LG have some advantages like microSD, better camera, better screen and design...its about that only, nothing more impress with G6, with Xiaomi (and i am talking about mid to high end Xiaomi's) you experience is a lot better even tho the things is a little bit unorganized, spread all around settings and its hard to find some things sometimes but its OK.
I bought my G6 a moth ago, and i am happy...but now i go to store, play around with Mi MIX 2 and compare it to my G6 (at the time i can get both for around 350) and now, if time could be pushing back i chose Mi MIX 2 over G6...but i can live with G6 anyway.
Its my opinion, you make your choise, i just say my experience with both brands...
Sure MicroSD card is a must have for some people (me too) but you can learn to live without...trust me, like IR Blaster and HiFI DAC, my V10 have that and i can live without that with G6 (the featureless phone i have for a long time).
Well speaking of software it's always subjective, but for me it's very bothering that MIUI is too intrusive. I mean for example, I had a lot of problems trying to set Signal as default messing app instead the built in one. It kept auto changing back to default from time to time.
Xiaomi is always very good overall for its price, but right now I don't think there is a phone more complete than G6 for its price.
if softwer update is not important for you i suggest you buy a G6 its better for you buy a H870 Eu model or US997 if u are in usa this two models are officialy bootloader unlocked and get better software updates and dont buy dualsim one at all advantages of G6 : main camera is pretty good , screen quality is very good at this price better than iphone i compared with my friend , u can experince a good sensation with UX6 interface of G6 , some one say that this phone has battry drain but my phone does not have this problem , just only thing i dont like it is selfi camera and at last i can tell u this phone is very good at this price i tell u again if softwer update is not important to u close ur eyes and buy a G6
No one has mentioned the G6 has a flat screen with no curves. This makes tempered glass installation really easy and you get full protection. Otherwise the phone is really good. My wife's has not given her any trouble.
Well I can get the Eu Version and it has Oreo. And I was thinking if it get poor Software update I can flash it manualy. I even have this conspiracy in my head that after some point the companies like Samsung send you some cool improvment update which for Example drains your Battery on purpose. From the G6 i am expecting normal to good Battery life and some cool Photos. I saw that with Google Camera there is better Quality. And yes i do want the 3.5mm jack and Im looking for a phone to carry me 2 years. But I just dont see good Mid Range Phones for Max. 400 Euros Also I have Samsung S9 in my hands that i got from my new contract but I will try to sell it for 500 becouse it has The Battery draining Exynos Version.
Don't ever think to buy an ''lg'' phone!! They don't care about the consumers! And their support is terrible!

THIS ! I'm sick of searching for screen protectors for curved glass screens. They never cover full surface nor look good after installation.
I regret at times, try to avoid
Software updates sucks, lags a lot, it feels like snapdragon 600 series processor (I have 20-25 off apps).
Camera at the back is amazing, front camera is pathetic(although u can download google camera, but still front camera sucks in most of the siltation)
Battery is very ok. 3.5 hrs screen on time. I would definitely not suggest. I was so frustrated with battery and lagging issues i bought a secondary phone (redmi note 5 pro and it is wayy better)
Audio output is ok compared to other mid range phone of 2018. Although screen is good but not great in 2018
Try buying from aliexpress, MI Mix 2/2s are extremely good phones and it does not look as copy of iphone x as well.
apart from camera, everything sucks

You can always change software. Most of the xiaomi phones have a custom rom/software. As a senior member, you should know that I always change my rom when i hate stock one. I dont know about you, but i dont throw phones out because of firmware (except iphones and windows based phones xD).
Or should i get me the V30 for 200 euros more (500 total) I really want this Wide Camera and good Battery life. Altho v30 is a little bit to big for my hands.
I'm going to join in as I'm looking to buy a new phone. I was almost convinced that I would buy LG G6 but I just browsed G6 rom development forums and wow it's pretty stall. My current Galaxy S4 has more options inluding LOS 15,1.
I was also looking at Honor 10 but then I found out that Huawei blocks bootloaders so it's a no no for me.
Seems like XIAOMI phones have really solid community and plenty of roms to chose from.
Xiaomi MI6 and mentioned here Xiaomi MI8 SE look really great but they lack a few features I would like to have such us 3,5 mm jack, SD card slot.
Not sure what to do now I kind of not want to be stuck with LG G6 running stock Android 8,1 for another 2-3 years.

[Poll] How long are we going to use our beloved POCO?

Hi friends,
Just looking at the sheer number of custom ROMs for this device people are going crazy over our POCO F1. I believe this thread will definitely help others in one way or the other to shed some more light while making a buying decision.
I'm poor so I'm gonna use it until it's unusable lol. But seriously I'd say about 3-4 years because I think it's a very future proof phone.
Honestly, I think I will be using my Poco F1 till Poco F3 Arrives (I won't buy Poco F2).
I can suggest another choice in the poll : as long as there is developers support!

When Mi 9 gets reasonable price. I can't stand this mediocre LCD
4 years
Come on frnds vote fast!
..and whts this, not evn a single like to the thread?
I will probably go for a year, i do like to chamge phones a lot but i like this one and amoled screens have much bigger defect probabilities and burn eyes. Poco covers many good points and support on xda is awesome so it will hardly get borring
as long as the next one has the basics i want in a phone
1. up-to-date SOC,, sd 855
2. SD CARD SLOT is a must (for that is where i save my media files to avoid repeated copying due to frequent flashing of phones)
3. 128gb internals
4. headphone jack
i dont care if its still IPS LCD or what... as long as those 4 are present.. particularly the number 2..
I just got mine this week... I'm planning to keep it for a very very long time.

Eh until the s10+ drops in price maybe 2 to 3 years.
Until the custom rom development slows down
Of course its a long term phone.
i think, If the notch has already been implemented, instead of hiding it, it should b used to user's advantage. Hiding it isnt gonna save battery either coz its not amoled. Many users including me would love to hv double network signal icon of dual sims (stock implementation) on custom roms too. Everythng else is manageable.
Got a s10 but keeping the poco as back up phone
Holding onto this phone makes me realize I miss amoled so much the hdr on the pocophone makes me want to vomit it looks like melted crayons.
Waiting for Black shark's arrival in India
until 5g stable enought
Wow! So many users are looking to use poco for long term. However, I think with the launch if RMN 7 Pro, poco sales might suffer.

Is it Worth Buying Poco F1 or Wait and Buy Poco F2 ?

My Old Sony Xperia Z3+ Dual is at The Edge of it's Life[Speakers NOt Working & Lots Of Heating Issues]..My Budget is Under 25k.. My Question is "it Worth Buying Poco F1 or Wait and Buy Poco F2 ".. if i Buy it Am i Gonna Regret it.. Also i wanna Know About The Display Quality And Touch Issue.. Thanks...
Sd 845 is still future proof.. say.. till sd 865 or whatever its named..
So yeah... It is still worth it getting one at this point...
Poco F2 won't be out "I think" this year because of new Xiaomi Mi (Mi 9) and Redmi (Note 7 and 7 Pro) lineup and still the development of MIUI 11 are on their top priority. Or maybe another one will come out later in Q4 of 2019.
I think You should wait F2, then think a little bit and wait for F3... Because every next model will be better. Good logic?
depends which country you are from and the price you can get one for I know a few places had the 6gb/64gb ones for around £210 at that price get one also some places was offering an exchange when new one comes out if thats available in your country might be worth taking a look.
I expect the poco f2 will come out july/aug earliest so thats a fair wait to be without your phone
still touch problem
Wait it out there are still bugs on this phone.
you won't be missing anything
used f1 is about 200$ in my country, touch bug is acceptable with that low af price
I recommend going with asus zenfone 5z. It's getting some serious price drops. It is easy better than pocof1.
I bought poco f1 last month. I haven't faced display bleed or touch bug issue. Maybe its fixed in newer devices. Overall my experience has been really positive as its got great camera, great battery life especially with custom kernel, very good community support and not to mention the great price it is available at. You can get mid range phones at this price, this is almost flagship level. Only con which i can think of right now which may be worth waiting for updated f2 is damn notch. It's big and spoils the Android notification management as due to less space on top bar most notifications are hidden unless you open the bar.
Also for me adaptive brightness is not quite upto the mark as it doesn't remember your setting, its mostly too bright. I'm pretty sure there might be a work around for it if i looked but i never had a problem with it in my earlier phones in stock.
SD845 will pretty much serve you well easily for next 2-3 years probably until 5g launch.

How's the poco f1 now in Q3 2019?

What's the general feel on the phone - solid?
How's the current development - kernels for miui?
Any common defects in this line ?
How much slower is it than 855 in gpu?
Is it a good option for ~$230-$250 (6/128) ?
if u r not into the looks of the phone or u r the guy who uses back covers....and can live with average display...this is still the best phone under 250$...and xiaomi still giving updates on security patch and other bug fixes and miui updates....
1. it feels solid the build quality is really good. its little bit heavier than otherr phone but once u get used to this phone the weight will not bother u much..i get 6 hours of sot on average it will last whole day...i am facing no defects till now...it is quite slower than 855 but difference is not much considering the price difference of this and the k20 pro...

I recently bought it and very satisfied. Exceeds expectations. I see people are having touch screen defects, I don't have, I live in eastern Europe and I have warranty for two years, if something goes back I give it to the warranty service while they provide replacement during the service period. I hope this won't happen but yeah, for the price the phone is gold. Powerful, stable, bright and colorful display. People always talk about phone displays like they even understand color science or work on the phone to color grade movies. I recommend the phone and if there is touch issues, test before u buy the unit.

xiaomi stores sells you the phone in a sealed box, you cant test before you buy and the official warranty can sometimes be a joke when the authorized service center are a bunch of amateurs.
and by the way,my unit worked fine for more than 6 months and am 80% sure my touch problem is software related but xiaomi just dont have the will to fix it!!

Do you think the bug got introduced in between some firmware update?
I've read some kernels trying to implement the touch fix bug for some panels, have you seen it?

i,ve been living in a nightmare for the past 3 weeks since the touch issues started out of nowhere....i read and commented in every thread that discussed touch issues,kernels.....etc on xda and i am almost sure its a software issue that may have been introduced (god knows why).
DONT invest money in xiaomi(my old xiaomi mi max 1 touch is way better than poco f1).....they make phones with much less quality everyday.....just a tech/spec race.

Seems feedback is all over the place. So I speak for myself, and for a friend who bought the pocophone as well (both bought in Belgium):
- really solid battery life
- MIUI os is stable enough (10.3.6.0), no major bugs, although not on the level of f.e. Samsung's UI.
- screen is below average, but that we knew upfront
- performance is the best selling point for this thing. It is fast, and smooth
- no touch issues
- no screen bleed issues
- ridiculously low price for the hardware used
- camera is pretty good, but search XDA for the gcam adaptation. It pulls the most from the sensor.
- screen is scratch resistant for now (own it for a few months without screen protector)
- the soft case that comes with the phone is kinda cheap, but does the trick
- it charges fast
- Xiaomi was a kind of a gamble for me as they are not well known for swift updates and long term maintenance. But I can always unlock the bootloader and install an aosp version such as pixel experience. For now, they come with regular updates but always are 2month behind (so now in August we have the June security update.
- One intermittent issue with Bluetooth (in combination with my mercedes): sometimes audio stutters for a second. Deactivating bluetooth and reactivating it on the phone solves it and we're good again for a few weeks.
All in all: a really good phone if you don't use it in very bright outside conditions (again: screen is below average). I come from a Samsung S7 edge, and I only miss it's high res amoled screen to an extent. The latter is undeniably better in color representation and brightness.
You want a better screen for the same price, try a Samsung A40. But performance and battery life will take a severe hit.
Also, people tend to compare them to equally performant smartphones, but they are typically in another price range. Don't do that, compare apples to apples and decide: you want the performance, or you want a nice screen / fancy looking smartphone?
Nothing in the same price range comes close to it

Agreed, have had the phone since March this year and have had none of the issues that keep getting mentioned on various Pocophone threads. This phone for me is perfect on MIUI 10.3.6.0 Global Stable for my use. Some YouTube, Facebook, Netflix and usually an hour of PUBG and/or Blades daily and normal texting/WhatsApp and calls. Usually have 30% battery left by bedtime.

Had mine about a month, love it.
Coming from an HTC U12 which had useless buttons and a display that you can't see in sunshine I tried an Exynos S10e which could not hold a phone call for any length of time. Personally I couldn't find anything else on the market that wasn't huge that had a flagship SOC (albeit last years), SD card slot, headphone jack and unlockable bootloader.
Haven't had any of the issues others have, mine is a global version bought in the UK but I had to get rid of MIUI, so there is plenty of AOSP roms to try.
Fwiw I've settled on AOSiP and arter97 kernel and get 6-8 hours SOT and a phone that keeps calls when I'm driving around.
The only downside is the camera is just about fine.

Did you try gcam .apk ? You just install it and it levels up the camera experience by miles! Check it out on a thread in here!

Yep! Coming from an HTC though and missing OIS the Xiaomi is still second place. For the price though its great!
There is Oneplus rom port for Poco F1. I tried it's pretty nice, faster, smoother and touch is better/sharper, battery about the same as use Miui rom (I use vendor-firmware 9.6.27 for Oneplus rom)
I am from India and I can tell that the phone launched (6, 64) at ₹21000.
Now in the Flipkart sale you can get it at 16.5k.
I myself have ordered it today.
One of the main reasons to buy this phone is that it has excellent development support at xda community and unlocking the bootloader won't void your warranty. So If you are into custom ROMs this is best flagship level budget device.
Myself being a custom ROM enthusiast, I decided to go with it.
So Yes even today this is great value for money phone despite it lacks few things like it is really ugly looking because of that huge notch and considering all new even budget phones are coming with the drop notch or full screen display, this is a trade-off.
i'd say go for it its worth the price, i've had it for around 4-6 months with no issues, im coming from a galaxy s6 and honestly the display isn't that bad compared to it the only thing i noticed is that the galaxy s6 is like 50-80% brighter but you'll notice it only if your using your phone outside.

[QUESTION] Is POCO F1 Worth It AT 185 Dollars 6/128 GB Model? [22/10/2019]

Hello.
Right now, POCO F1 (6/128 GB Model) is being sold in India at appoximately 185 Dollars (Rs. 13,000) with all the discounts and deductions.
What I am looking for atleast 3 years from now?
- Respectable camera specs. Not professional but very much satisfactory till 2022 end.
- Good XDA community support and ROMs
- Lag-free day-to-day experience
I don't game so no such requirements.
If all the points mentioned above will be satisfied according to you then please do tell in the comments. Thanks a lot!

Camera is good but it won't last till 2022 as satisfactory camera considering already we see mobiles with 65mp camera. Also at current growth I don't think any mobile can last for 4 years. (f1 launched on 2018)
Xda support will be there till 2022 easily I guess considering still lot of top developers are working on poco device
Lag free yes currently I feel my mobile is on par with other mobiles in 20k price segment

POCO F1 is GOOD device in 2019 but you wana device that RUN till 2022 ? , thats hard to say bro!
i think by 2022 we will be having 5g everywhere, galileo Support (its next Gen of GPS), QLED and 21:9 HDR 8K perhaps been pusing out in devices! WHO KNOWS? 2022 is 3 years from now on! , perhaps ram would be 16gb in all midrange devices!
however having said that! I think YOU SHOULD NOT buy Poco because I personally believe i am not going to use poco till after Sep2020...
go for Xiaomi A3 , its on Android One and usually Android One devices are smoother in performance! and A3 is Led, Go for 6gb variant!
other Android One devices for you could be Nokia Midrange devices :s
Not worth it. Don't get this phone. It's a scam.
My best choice even after galaxy note 10. Srsly, tottaly worth it device. Best performance, battery life, exellent camera, overall tactile sensitive is 9/10. AND remember - this choice is subjective factor. My test device is N910F and its pretty good in the last quarter ot 2019, but for my specific usage, even i9300 is my working daily driver. I think the price is awesome for Poco, so dont scare to dive in!

Take the Poco and do not hesitate. It is bang for the buck as ****. Whether or not it will become laggy depends on software, if they decide to degradenit, you will notice, Camera already starts being behind others, so by 2022 it will be defashioned. I am satisfied by the pictures it can give. So you should really focus on your opinion, cause the Poco greatness is repeated over and over again

Galileo is only the european satellite system. It is already used by the pocophone. We even have dual GPS with L5 meaning increased accuracy in cities.
8K is not happening on phones. 7 years ago we already had FHD. Some manufacturers tried WQHD like LG G5 or even UHD with Sony XZ Premium in 2017 but most Phones stay at FHD or FHD+ because of 21:9 since this is enough for our eyes.
Camera, Software and maybe battery technology are the only major things which need improvement

People feel "scammed" because a 1 1/2 year old device doesn't have the next android update instantaneously. I am happy with the update policy and it is still amongst the first to be updated. Huge community development and fpr less than 200$ a no brainer compared to mid range devices coming out.
TCL announced a new phone for 300€ with way worse specs, nokias cant compare at this price point either. Sure I'd like a wide angle cam, OIS and a few other things. But thats not happening for less than 400€

thanks for the insight, i have xzp and it stays on fhd only! however answering to the question here, 2022 is far ahead where mobiles are concern. I believe even TODAY, its ONLY SONY that is using 21:9 screen ratio in Xperia1 & Xperia5 and now soon to be in xperia 8.
most of the High end Xiaomi phones are on 19.5:9 ratio, (including Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G)
so by 2022 we will be having 21:9 ratio in most of the fones
more over, I think if he wana use fone for 3 years then He should buy something in LED line, Poco has LCD only with Screen Bleed issues, even my Poco has a fine double shade line on the left side of the screen (noticed from day1). so in my opinion and price range he should buy A3 (or any ANdroid One phone on LED).
P/s , A3 is on SD665 (where Poco is 845), and A3 has NO liquid cooling system,
but then on SD6xx series you don't need one! I used RN5p for many months! it never lag (SD636) --- A3 has 4gb ram but make sure you find 6gb variant
Prior to the Poco, I was someone who changed phones every year. I'm not saying I always bought the expensive ones but I always changed every year to what I needed at the time. My Poco right now is more than a year old but I have no intention to get a new phone.
The entire forum is filled with threads on touch issues and people claiming that Xaiomi is slowing down devices with every update.
I honestly haven't found a single issue with this phone.
I love how fast it performs . Iove how it just gets its intended job done without any hiccups. And with 9 hours screen on time, this is easily one of the only phones that last this long.
However, coming to your question (I'm using the 6/128 myself)... Technology moves fast. Buying last year's top Gen is often a smart choice for the wallet, but not in the eyes of the corporations.
If you want to buy this phone, go for it.
It has amazing performance, an amazing camera and most of all amazing battery life. These are the things that matter.
My genuine advice however is that you get a newer phone. Even if it's weaker than the 845. Corporations want you to move on to the the latest.
My advice, get the ROG Phone II
It ticks all the right boxes and it's future proof till 2021.
However if you're looking for a phone that just does well, a POCO at 15k isn't a bad deal. I actually love my Poco even though I can buy more expensive phones. Hu
