What conrtollers work with this tablet - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Questions & Answers

Hi
I have used many controllers with this tablet and for some reason the right axis stick never works and no way to configure, tried both wierd and connected with a otg cable .
Used:
Xbox 360 wierd controller
Xbox one controller wierd and wireless
Ps3 dualshock wierd
Ps4 wirless and wierd mode
Cable used: ugreen otg from amazon sorry cant post link
Any suggestions please.

I love the one I got for my Switch. Also works on PC (wired as a 360 controller and Bluetooth as a Steam controller) and with Android through Bluetooth. N30 Got it on Amazon. Works great, feels good, and feels like it'll last. Don't miss the NFC or HD Rumble of the true Pro Controller, which aren't even an issue as an Android controller anyways.

Hi, no one have the answer ?
In europe cannot find the sunwaytek sg-n30 , no even on ebay.
Any alternative ?
Thanks in advance.

[Q] Wired USB controller for Emulators

Curious if anyone knows about hooking up a wired, usb controller to the TF while docked. I already own the wired gaming controllers that I use on my laptop for SNES roms, but wanted to use it on the transformer while I'm out.
android 3.1 supports the xbox and ps3 wire controllers...and i'm guessing other standard (meaning they work without custom drivers) gamepads.
i test an old PC gamepad i had, and it only partially worked. (some buttons aren't recognized, or recognized weirdly)
eitherway, it's trial and error.
but officially, Android 3.1 supports, at the very least, the xbox and ps3 controllers.
I can confirm ps3 controller works

Will give it a try
Sweet, well i have an older gamepad that once I get the TF I will give it a shot, worst comes to worst will just pick up an xbox controller and call it good
The Xbox 360 USB controller does not work with this tablet.
Are you using an actual USB 360 controller or a 360 controller with the charge and play cable? The charge and play cable does not transmit data, it only charges, so you would have to have the 360 controller synced through blue tooth to make it work that way.
I got one of these docks today so I can confirm that the following controllers work with the dock:
PS3 dual shock
Logitech Cordless Precision PS3 controller (Wireless!)
Mayflash Classic Controller USB adapter (this one surprised me)
HOWEVER!
I was unable to get any of the emulators to register the right analog stick, which for most emulators is not a big deal, but still not as good I think as just using a wii remote with a classic controller which seems to work for all the buttons and sticks and things.
Also, I was unable to get 2 usb gamepads to be recognized independently (i.e. as player 1 and player 2) so for me this is not good either. I am now selling the dock on ebay because the only plus for me was being able to have 2 wireless USB gamepads that are not tethered to something else (wii remote) and be able to play 2 player games. Otherwise this dock just makes my transformer less portable. I'm sure for some people it's great though, I'm not knocking it, it just wasn't suited for what I wanted.
Anyone try it with a Logitech gamepad (usb)?

Yes, I'm using an actual USB Xbox 360 controller not the wireless controller with the charge and play cable. This is an issue that if you search the forums you'll find others who have the same problem. I had emailed Asus more than a month ago about the issue and they finally responded and said:
Dear Valued Customer,
For the problem, currently TF101's dock does not support xbox 360 controller.
Sorry for any inconvenience. Wish you have a nice day.

And when I asked if it will be supported in the future:
Dear Valued Customer,
Currently TF101 does not support it, but I will pass your test result as a VOC(vovice of customer) to the related dept.
Sorry for any inconvenience. Wish you have a nice day.

I would not count on this being resolved anytime soon.

The wireless gamepad I tried was Logitech, so I would imagine that this would work as well. I have a couple of older model Logitech gamepads I can test later on if I get around to it.
I really am disappointed though in the fact that android 3.1 does not seem to distinguish between 2 different gamepads plugged in at the same time. I tried setting up a 2 player game of Contra by mapping buttons for player 1 and player 2 on each respective pad, but both gamepads controlled both characters at the same time. So it's fine for single player, but any kind of multiplayer is no go.
I take it back. It is something they are looking to resolve:
The next firmware update will support xbox 360 controller and the firmware will be released soon.

At least now I don't need to buy another controller.

Thanks so much for the info! But would you be so kind as to check with the older model Logitech gamepads (with usb)? I'm looking to buy the one that I linked you earlier and this would definitely be a deal breaker if it didn't work.

Logitech F310, F510, F710 controllers

I bought the Logitech F310-controller. It works fine with N64oid and ok with Reckless Racing & Getaway.
However, even though I select gamepad as control method I can not get Shine Runner nor Air Attack HD working. Do these games work for other people or do these games require a PS3-controller?
I bought the logitech F510. In Riptide GP works fine, but 3D games, like Shadowgun, cannot be played, because right analog doesn´t work correctly. I try Kernel module pack V4 from this forum, but it not help me. I think it was a mistake bought this gamepad. Perhaps I will go buy PS3 controller...
Dumb question but do you need the dock for this to work? I bought it thinking I can just pair with the Bluetooth.

Yes, you need the dock to plug it in via usb. Unless of course you have an OTG USB adapter, in which case you would plug it into that.
I briefly had the F710 before I returned it and bought an excellent condition used-PS3 dualshock 3 from Gamestop. The only game I attempted to play was Grand Theft Auto III, and it worked perfectly fine for that. I much prefer the Sixaxis method though because you create touch profiles for games that don't support controllers.
EDIT: Should note that the Logitech F310/510/710 series controllers are all well made, but not nearly as comfortable to use as a PS3 controller (which itself is one step below a 360 controller imo). However, you can use them with a PC relatively easier than you can a Sixaxis.
I couldnt connect F710 to S3, is there a special way to do it?
I can't connect F510 to S3
Someone use F510 on S3?

How is the PS3 controller working for you? I have the 710, and it seems like it works about half the time. I am now running CM10, and it worked better with that than any other rom until the latest nightly. I would love something more reliable and consistent. Would you still recommend the PS3 controller and Sixaxis?
I have the Sony Dualshock 3 Sixaxis and works perfect via Usb Otg and wireless with Sixaxis App!
I have and the Logitech F510 that it's a perfect gamepad for pc gaming and very durable!!
But my Samsung Note 3 Neo (Kitkat Root) can't see it...

[Q] ZTpad Zenithink C91 + wired xbox 360 controller

Hello!
So I bought one of these chinese tablets. ZTpad Zenithink C91. Seems like ok tablet for the price. It has ICS 4.0.3 which I thought should natively support wired xbox 360 controller.
So, I plug the controller to usb port, controller keeps flashing all the lights, but nothing happens beyond that. I tried with USB/BT joystick too, but it does not find controller.
Usb stick, and HDD works via that port, so it should be ok.
There is also another USB port, which is micro-usb. Dont have adapter so I could try if that makes any difference. Anyway, I'm kind of confused, it should work but I can't get it to work. This was so hard to google I had to make an account and post this here, surely you could help!
Any ideas would be great!
Cheers, Jesse

[Q] SGS2 + MHL + Gampad via WHAT?

Hello
I have MHL adapter and its working fine with my SGS2 but i want to play games on the TV on Wifi/BT Game PAD.
I don`t have any game pad so this is open.
In theory I have rpogram to chose:
a) USB/BT Joystick Center - for any OTG controllers
b) Sixaxis controller - for only original PS3 game pads
I don`t want to buy the PS3 game pad as its expesive a I additionally I want to buy next year the new XBOX.
Best choise for now would be a cheap wireless controller with the program A) which dosen`t need to be plugged to the phone with OTG cable.
Is this possible and is there such a hardware to buy?
Any ideas?
Use a cheap usb (pc) game pad and use it with A program.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
how to connect it when I have the MHL adapter in the USB port ?
the sixaxis controller and the sixaxis app are your only options.
let me explain:
if you want to use mhl, you cannot use another usb device, which excludes xbox controllers, because, well, the wired one needs a usb port of course, but the wireless needs a usb receiver as well (since it is not bluetooth). also, i never got the wired one working, it seems to consume to much power for the phone and only works on tablets.
then there is the wiimote, which works with bluetooth, but to my knowledge, it does not work with the bluetooth stack on the s2. the consequence is:
either you use an aosp/aokp based rom (which uses a different bluetooth stack), then you can use the wiimote, but no mhl, or you use a stock rom, then you can use mhl, but no wiimote.
since you need the usb port for mhl, all "cheap pc usb controllers" are out as well.
then there is the phonejoy controller, which works as a native bluetooth controller, but costs way too much for being just a sixaxis knock-off controller (it is like 60eur here).
so, if you go with the original sony dualshock 3 controller (for about 30eur) and an additional 2eur, you are better off. also, besides being able to pair the controller as a native controller, it can also be connected as a native keyboard or using touch profiles, which means, games without controller support will also work. and since this works with a fairly regular bluetooth connection, there is no cable issue there.

[Q] CM 10.1 Xbox 360 Controller Support

Hi all,
I noticed that with the most current nightly the CM team released it shows enabled support for Xbox 360 wireless controller. Can someone clarify and maybe show how to get this going. Did a quick search through my phone but didn't see anything. Any help would be great!! Thanks! :good:
Anyone??
Does anyone know anything?? I feel like I broke into this thing as much as I could and I got nothing!! Am I the only one with an XBOX LOL
I can't confirm this but here's what you would likely need to use the Wireless Xbox 360 controller on Android:
- Samsung USB OTG adapter
- Microsoft Wireless USB received for the Xbox 360 Controller
- A wireless controller (duh)
Plug it all in and it should work. For a simpler hookup, simply take your USB OTG cable, plug it in and get a wired Xbox 360 controller. Done and done.
For an even better experience use a Dualshock 3 controller 10 times more quality than the shoddy Xbox one. Funniest part is, I don't even own a PS3. I only have an Xbox 360 which I haven't used in years, and once I got my DS3 controller for my PC/Android phones I've never picked up my 360 controller again. It's just garbage in comparison. Everything about the DS3 controller just feels like quality compared to the Xbox one. Not to mention it's full black and sleeker = sexier
