If I also want to flash gapps, should I flash PA 10, format data, then gapps, format data? Or I can just do PA 10, then Gapps, then format data?

OK here is what i did :
over eu 9.9.26 I did basic wiping ,then formated data.
flashed china 9.9.25 and booted
rebooted to fastboot and flashed china twrp
did basic wiping (data, cache , system dalvik ) as always and then formated data as stated in the guide
clicked on reboot to recovery on china twrp in order to install PA10 and since then only fastboot.
Tried flashing all twrps and booting into them but only fastboot.

dalvikartcache/data/system/cache also. After that I tryed to reboot to recovery and only fastboot.
This is the reason but still no solution.

Decryption problem on TWRP

Hi
I have Mm 6.01 installed via adb sideloading from lollipop without any wipe. Somehow it worked.
The reason I had to do it that way is that phone is encrypted but when I boot to TWRP it does not recognise my decryption Pin so I couldn't flash from recovery.
I was using the seraja recovery.
Anyone got access to the encrypted partitions through TWRP? I don't know how to install TWRP 3.0.2 which might have a fix for the pin problem. Each way I try doesn't work. Any ideas?

Since you was on a twrp recovery so you made your bootloader device unlocked so you can easily install twrp 3.0.2 which maybe help you in solving your problem
To flash Twrp 3.0.2 follow this:
1- Download Twrp 3.0.2 from this link: https://dl.twrp.me/sirius/twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img.html
2- By using Fastboot you have installed on your PC, Put the twrp 3.0.2 you have downloaded in step 1 in the folder of ADB and Fastboot and you can flash twrp 3.0.2 by using this command: fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-sirius.img
If there is any question or a problem with this guide just tell me and i will help you
I hope that i had helped you.

If not you have to unlock your bootloader which will allow you to install twrp recovery from adb command successfully.

Downgrading OnePlus X from 3.1.3 to 2.2.2

Hi,
After upgrading the device to 3.1.3 the device is draining very fast and I didn't like the new changes.
Can anyone please share steps to downgrade the device to 2.2.2 OS?
I think it's easy, but somebody pls CMIIW, just flash the official TWRP via fastboot (prior to v41), reboot to TWRP, wipe cache, data, system, dalvik, and flash the OOS 2.2.2 zip file.

I'm not familiar with few acronyms(CMIIW, TWRP). Could you please elaborate with steps?
Any reference link would also help.
No need to twrp.
Just reboot to recovery, wipe all tehn flash full 2.2.3 full rom zip.
you'll loose your settings and apps installed of course
NB : I think you should wait that 3.1.3 stabilize itself. What don't you like in OOS 3? All tastes exist, I know, but I can't see the point here....

ok, I will try this step. If I go to recovery and do I need to download the rom or is it already there?
OOS 3 is buggy and draining out the battery of my device. Also, its making the device very slow.

No, you have to download it and put it in your device.
With a well parametred OOS 3 , my device never flyed so quickly.
You should start by going to apps, menus then reset apps parameters (there is a menu for that).
You can go to storage, click on internal storage and wipe cache data.
Reboot.
If still the same, instead of going backward, reflash full rom 3.1.3 zip
the best way to do it is flash bluSpark's TWRP, and then flash OOS 2.2.2

You should add that an unlocked bootloader is mandatory for that.
Be carefull, a lot of people (mainly the one that rooted via Kingroot) wiped theirs devices, going that way, without knowing it.
Hey there,
OnePlus recently published an Update for my OPX (Android 6.x). That update feels like the mother of all bugs (battery drain within minutes, no install/de-install options, no valid bootloader available,... ) which leads me to flash custom rom.
the device has been rooted successfully:
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot oem device-info
...
(bootloader) Device tampered: false
(bootloader) Device unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: false
(bootloader) Display panel:
(bootloader) console_enabled: 0
(bootloader) exec_console_unconsole: 0
OKAY [ 0.017s]
finished. total time: 0.017s
each version of TWRP-recovery images (2.8.xxx - 3.0.2) i am uploading is running successfully as well and leads to the output::
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'recovery' (14758 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.531s]
writing 'recovery'...
OKAY [ 0.273s]
finished. total time: 0.811s
the problem is the next step. all versions of the above mentioned recovery-images result in:
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot boot recovery.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.531s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: dtb not found)
finished. total time: 0.580s
may anybody help me or tell me what i am doing wrong ,please?
any help is mostrly appreciated !

Fastboot flash original stock recovery then 2.2.2. Bootloader downgraded and can continue flashing as normal.
thanks for that fast reply! i am now happy on "twrp-3.0.2-0-onyx.img" (recovery) and "cm-13.0-ZNH5Y-20160925-STABLE-Sultan-onyx.zip" (rom).
for everybody ekse running into the "dtb"-error:
i downgraded my opx by using that howto (google "opx unroot"):
https:[Double-slash]theunlockr[DOT]com/2016/02/17/how-to-unroot-the-oneplus-x/
i downloaded their recovery and rom and followed each step until (and excluding) "relock the bootloader".
after that i re-started flashing custom recovery and rom

Phone stuck in error mode

Hi,
Last week I got my phone stuck in a bootloop which led to me making a lot of mistakes, I flashed a boot.img as a kernel, I deleted my entire software, and I lost a lot of files. I currently have my phone in an error mode, it says I have to update the system again. I have access to fastboot but I do not have access to twrp (flashing the recovery doesn't work).
Can anyone help me with this problem?

I don't know for sure which parts I messed up, but I do know these thing: I don't have an OS installed, and my kernel is a boot.img.
I don't know my region number for sure, but according to this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/8-lite/how-to/huawei-regional-codes-t3740473 it should be C432.
My build number is ANE-LX1 8.0.0.126 (C432) and I should have a TWRP backup on my sd card from the moment my phone was only bootlooping.

Do you have currently TWRP installed?
-Boot in the TWRP recovery and restore your backup.
-If your backup don't have all partitions let me know and I'll send you what is missing.
If you currently don't have TWRP installed?
-Go to fastboot mode and flash this TWRP
If boot then should be ok.
If remains bootlooping then you can wipe cache and reboot
If remains bootlooping you can test flash B126 with HuRUpdater

I can't install TWRP, I currently install it by flashing the file as a recovery_ramdisk.
After it is flashed I execute the command fastboot reboot and hold volume up whilst disconnecting my phone from my PC.

I don't believe that fastboot boot can work...
That is strange...
Can you flash TWRP one more time?
After successful flash don't use the command fastboot reboot
Unplug the USB cable and press ON/OFF and VOL+ and stay pressings until you see TWRP screen.

It worked, many thanks for your help!
For those that have issues with the programme, I had to uncheck the verify header checksum button in the settings file in order for it to work properly.

My TWRP is completely lost and the tool doesn't seem to work, I wiped data cache and dalvik.
When you flash a rom aren't you just supposed to flash the rom itself, when I bricked my phone by installing Xposed I just reflashed the rom it's sytem image and a boot image. How should I do it?

Can't flash vendor.img but i have TWRP [What to do ?]

Hi guys , i was running AOSIP PIE rooted and bootloader unlocked. I did an update of Magisk. And then i couldn't flash twrp it was not working , i could still boot phone normally and phone run smooth. Someone told me to flash TWRP with flashify and i did. Here the problems started , i started having error , can't boot anywhere etc...
I followed this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/how-to/guide-erecovery-hisuite-failing-to-t3932203/ for last solution .
But unfortunatly i can't flash VENDOR.img in fastboot , i can flash all except VENDOR.img it says
C:\ADB>fastboot flash vendor VENDOR.img
target reported max download size of 471859200 bytes
sending sparse 'vendor' 1/2 (460796 KB)...
OKAY [ 10.697s]

First, in TWRP, advance wipe everything! Now, you need a pc, connect the phone to PC with a USB, on pc, download any ROM you want (and gapps if you want) now transfer the files to your phone and then flash them, izi,
Thumbs up if I was useful.
