SAMSUNG PIE: SIM card detected and enabled but cannnot find/connect to mobie network - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I purchased a USED Galaxy A7 2018 dual sim F variant. When I first inserted my SIM card, it was working fine. 4G and calls, all were working.
But after I factory resat it, mobile network stopped working or even detecting. SIM card is still detected and I can see it in "connections" under SIM cards in settings app on my phone. But when I try to dial a number it says "not registered on network". On lock screen, it says emergency calls only. When I go to "mobile networks" in settings app and tap to select network automatically or manually, it gives error that unable to find/connect to a network.
I tried three different sim cards yet same thing happens. SIM cards work just fine in other phones. Also, it is not a problem with sim tray on phone as sim card is detected and shown and as I said before, mobile network was working fine before resetting the phone.
When I purchased it, there was a custom ROM installed on it and OEM Unlocking was ON. I installed latest stock ROM from Samsung plus a couple of stock ROMS but same thing happens with every ROM.
I am out of ideas on what should I do now. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give.
Thanks.

Finally found a solution.

[Help]Phone Not Allowed MM#6

Hi Guys,
My friend has asked me for some help with his x10i.
He's purchased it from a market, and it was locked to T-mobile.
Its since been network unlocked by a local store, in theory to allow use of any network sim card.
However when you boot the phone with a sim card in, it comes up on the notification bar
"Phone Not Allowed MM#6"
It will show the little signal bar full.
Checking phone status it shows
Service state - In service
Mobile Network State Disconnected.
It appears to register onto a network, be that orange o2 ect.
But we are unable to make outbound calls, receive calls.
Yet browsing via gprs is working.
I have checked the IMEI with the T mobile. They advised that the phone is clean and not barred.
I have Tried different Sim cards i know are working.
I have Flashed the Firmware back to Stock, Tried the Latest Firm and a few other different combinations.
I am now Stuck.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

did u try calling the network provider your sim card is with? they usually may have to program the network with imei number of the phone
u can also try going to network settings, search networks and choose the one u r on.

Is my Sim card at fault?

Hi all.
Does anyone know if it is normal to have your Sim card provider listed twice in the Network operators list. As my Galaxy S3 shows '3' twice and O2,EE and Vodafone just the once.
Reason I ask is that I have been having problems with a new S6 not working with my new Sim card though '3' said it was fine.(I had just recently been in to have my sim changed from Micro to Nano size) So I'm currently in the process of sending it back. When I put the Sim back in my S3 it was doing the exact same thing the S6 was. Showing it was connected to the '3' network but dropping the signal all the time and going into 'Emergency calls only' mode. Manually switched to the other '3' in Network operators list and phone now works fine.
I could never recall it ever showing '3' twice so wondered if ther store had programmed the sim wrong.
Anyone?
Cheers
Mark

Inserting a foreign SIM card kills the internet over wi-fi - please help!

Dear Experts,
I'd like to give my old Samsung Galaxy S2 to somebody as a present.
He is living in another country. We inserted his SIM card and suddenly
and to our biggest surprise - internet over wi-fi just stopped working !!!
The phone still sees all the network, it's possible to connect, but neither
the browser, nor any app gets data from the internet.
I've tried rebooting the phone, disabling and enabling mobile data and
also changing the CSC code according to this guide:
http://www.droidviews.com/how-to-change-csc-in-samsung-galaxy-phones/
but it didn't work - I didn't see the list of CSC codes. As soon as we
removed the SIM card, internet works again immediately.
This is very very weird - what does the connection over wi-fi has
to do with the SIM card ?????

Cannot connect to network

I couldn't see any posts about this for over 20 pages, I apologize if this is a known solution.
I just fixed, and bypassed FRP on an Honor 5X at work and I started using it all day with my AT&T SIM card. When I got home, it says "network unavailable" where the carrier name should be on the top left and it leaves me with absolutely no connection to the network. It does, oddly enough, register the phone number so the SIM card is being read. I tried the APN settings and nothing.
I have not rooted it yet, there's no TWRP files, just a stock phone. And yes, the SIM card does work in the Galaxy S5 Active it's in right now. Any idea how to fix this?
It isnt working in those two phones if am not wrong !!
