Samsung Galaxy Note 8 stuck on boot logo and unable to flash stock rom - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, today I was trying to restart my phone after it was updating an app from the google play store for several hours and since then it gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 logo. My phone is rooted and has TWRP installed.
I still can enter TWRP recovery mode but literally everything I can do there fails. I get the "unable to mount storage" message whenever I try to wipe or format something and it is showing 0MB for all partitions.
I tried flashing the stock firmware using adb sideload but I am still just getting unable to mount storage/cache/data messages after a second. I also tried flashing the .zip file through USB OTG cable but got the same result.
When I tried flashing the file with JOdin3 (Odin for Linux) I got this message: "A corrupted file was detected. In order to continue, you must select a valid Odin File" (Still got this message after I redownloaded the file)
If anyone has any suggestions, please leave a comment.
Edit: Tried flashing with Heimdall and it somewhat worked but if I boot my phone now I get "fail to open recovery cause no such file or directory" error for a split second and then it reboots...
Please can anyone help me?

TWRP not able to recognize/mount SD card content to install root.zip

Hello...I use a Samsung S Advance GT-I9070
Recently I tried to root it by copying root.zip , update.zip and TWRP file into the external SD card by connecting it to my PC.
Then I tried to install root.zip file using stock recovery I was facing this error "E: signature verification failed" every time I did it.
Then I tried to flash CWM via odin3 by putting my phone on download mode and connecting it to PC but after pressing stat in odin3..I got an error that the process failed. I tried 2 more times and still the process failed.
Then I thought of rebooting my phone but I was getting this message "firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again" so I tried kies to recover it but it wasn't working.
So then I put the phone again in download mode connected it to PC and then used odin3 to flash TWRP and the process was successful and the phone got recovered.
But the MAIN PROBLEM is that when I tried to put phone into TWRP recovery mode and install the root.zip file it's not showing me the contents of SD card. I tried to weep the phone do the factory reset and then try and it is still not working.
PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM....I'll be very thankful to you!
PS: Basically I want to root my phone and install cyanogenmod 11 to get android 4.4 kitkat in my phone.

[Q] Can't flash, can't get into bootloader...

Hello, I'm a little bit new to all this, so any help and detailed instructions are very very helpfull.
So I have Gigabyte GSmart Aku A1 device (MediaTek 6589), I don't know if it's bricked or what but apparently is not working quite well.
When I turn on my phone, it just loads and loads and loads and nothing happens (waited for about 4-5 hours), that was starting to happen after I somehow installed CWM on my device with some tutorial, CWM worked for the first time and after next reboot, it disappeared and stock recovery came back (and the problem with infinite loading screen - only showing logo).
I have ADB drivers installed, SDK aswell, tried to put stock firmware (got it from official site) and in like 1/4 of installation it says:
Code:
symlink: some symlinks failed
After that, I tried to install few versions that I downloaded from that official site, but same error again and again. (I tried to install with SD card and with ADB too. ADB is only working when I go to "apply update from ADB" in recovery. I have also used 2 different types of SD cards.)
That didn't worked either, so I got to some russian forum, and using google translator I downloaded 5-6 types of custom ROM's / Firmwares. That didn't worked either, one time when installing one of those ROM's - it said something about signature..
After that I was trying to install those ROM's with ADB and with SD Cards aswell, but turns out that every single time I get error saying: "Installation aborted.".
I have ofcourse tried to wipe data/factory and to wipe cache too, but nothing helps..
Also, when I'm in ADB console, when I type any command besides adb sideload or adb devices, I get error saying: "error: closed". I cant get into fastboot with adb console.
I really don't know what to do anymore, so any help would be very very appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance, if you need any videos, pictures or something, just tell me.
Edit: When I go to "wipe data/factory reset" in recovery, it says: "Mount /data error.".

i would look for stock rom in form of full mtkdroidtools backup and preloader drivers for your mtk chipset
and flash it using flashtool (it uses preloader[you can determine if it's available/undamaged by turning phone off and opening device manager on pc and plugging phone to pc if there will be a flash in device manager before the charging starts it will flash ])

Problem with samsung note 5 n920L firmware. Odin refuses to install stock firmware

Hello. I am new here and sorry if broke any rules.
I have note 5 n920L. Bought it used. Received update 7.0. After it, it worked for 2 days and than started working slowly. Restarted and after restart I saw blue screen - "installing system updates". The same screen was for 10 hours. It could not load into recovery mode for wiping. It could not install firmware from download mode. Cannot add here photos because do not have 10 posts.
When trying installing firmware, odin stops on system.img.
When trying recovery mode, it does not enters there.
I see recovery mode after hours trying installing system updates. When I click on wipe data or cache, I have errors:
no support single - sku
supported api: 3
dm-verify verification failed
e: failed to mount cache (invalid argument)
e: cannot mount cache recovery last install and many other similar errors
FRP IS LOCKED. STATUS IS CUSTOM (do not know how and why, if it was custom could not receive update..)
You're certain that you are using the same firmware build? What's the error message in Odin?
You can also try Smart Switch in emergency mode.

Thank you for the reply. Odin does not have an error. Starts installing and than stops on system.img. Left for 20 hours and it was still there.
What do you mean in same firmware build? I downloaded firmware from samsung site. Downloaded it for 920L model. Tried android 7 and 6 too.
Cannot connect to the smart switch because it writes that my device is unsupported.
As I see, no one knows about this problem..
Could be the wrong firmware or Odin version. You might see if you can use Odin to install TWRP and boot into Recovery that way.

(help) samsung tab a 8.0 t-350 bricked?

So I'm stuck at this blue screen in my Samsung Tab A 8.0 with the message: "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software."
See what had happened was...
I was having problems with the battery and when I booted into recovery it said a message (can't remember it now) along the lines of: E: can't load bitmaps /poc0008 No such file or directory! & successfully verified DM-Verity hash & E: can't load /dev/block/(something) No such file or directory!
So here went I, Mrs. Pseudo-developer and I upgraded the firmware via Odin ver 3.13.1 Previously I think it was N7.0.1 and then it became N7.1.1. It was a much smoother experience and my battery didn't die as quick. Yay!
But there I had to go tinkering... Again, via Odin (which I'm comfortable with, btw. I have all my devices firmwares' backed-up. All my devices are rooted) tried to flash cf-autoroot and something happened, I couldn't read the argument and I booted into recovery and then into bootloader and started to reflash my firmware only for my usb to get unplugged in the midst of it. This sucks and does anybody has a tissue, because my tablet just died.

Can you still go into recovery mode? Or the device was hard bricked? If the device is not booting you can try to patch boot.img

[Problem] S9 TWRP problem

So today I wanted to root my phone and flash a custom rom. I went to the PC and setted my phone in download mode, opened Odin, downloaded the TWRP from the S9 (SM-G960F) XDA Forum then I've selected on AP (Odin) the .img file but it gave me error. My phone said "Custom Binary (USERDATA) blocked by FRP lock" and now when I try to boot it says "An error occurred while updating the device software use the emergency recovery function" but it won't be recognized by the tool. I'm basically stuck with my phone giving me this message with a blue background.
Edit: Nevermind, I fixed it and got TWRP to work.
