Android Attest Key Not Provisioned - Sony Xperia 1 Questions & Answers

Hi All,
I have bought the new Xperia 1 (Hong Kong) and use the newFlasher to flash the version to 55.0.A.6.56,
after that I've found the Android Attest Key status is Not Provisioned in Service info page,
I've found the thread in https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-xz1-compact/help/android-attest-key-lost-bootloader-t3829945
but I've no idea how to recover the Android Attest Key status to Provisioned, is any BOSS can help? Thanks.

I think it's fine. My attest key is also not provisioned, but my phone passes safety net, google play certification, etc.

You should remove the file called "persist*.sin" before you flash your device by newflasher.

[Q] Stratosphere Dialer codes not working simunlock

Hi!, I'm new here i'd like to say thank you in advance.
Here is the story. My Uncle just brought me a Samung Stratosphere G4 Verizon(I'm out of the States). It came with a T-mobile miniSim, but it has network lock.
First it had the lastest update FF1,
When followed some tutorials, here and at XDA, and manage to flash it: this is the current Info:
Hardware Version: I405.05
Model: SCH-I405
Firmware: 2.3.5
Base band: I405.05.V.FF1
SCH-I405.FF1
Kernel: 2.6.35.7.EI2
Compilation: SCH-I405.EI2
IMEI: 99XXXXXXXXXXXX (So its working)
The phone is rooted, when i got to the efs folder y didnt find any nv_data.bin, so i found an application nv_datarepair so now it appears, and with some tools it said it unlocked.
But it still doesn't reconize any Sim. but before i do anything with him (flash or sim unlock) if in the dialer i type: *#06# it doesnt show anything, not even if i press the call button(it show network not available) and no code work there. since I got the phone and even now.
Do you have any idea?, I'm about to flash it again to an FF1 version I found here, but even I get to do it right I need to get the simunlock.
I hope I explained myself enought.
Again, thank you in advance. take care.
Edit: I just installed FF1, but it says it need activation, and I can't... I used TESTMODE, to bypass but ask on every reboot, I noticed that even if I buy an unlock code i won't be able to use it since no hash number can be used...
Edit 2: I managed to bypass activation with Titanium and/or editing build.prop, but now i know that I need to change something to make the phone global capable.
Is there any way to flash baseband to get the phone global?

m7350 v4 Model Type and Vendor Firmware change

Hi,
I own a m7350 v4. In Switzerland you can get a multisim which allows you to use unlimited contract data on more than one device. But they detect lte modem/wifi hotspots and shape the traffic down to 0.5kb. They only allow you to use the multisim in phones or tablets. When I put the multisim in my phone, I get full speed.
Somehow they read out the vendor and model type of the device, it also shows on their webpage in my userspace.
I looked into the firmware and in M7350(EU) 4.0_1.0.11 Build 180119 Rel.1090n_User/system/etc/default_config/product there is the product config section:
config product info
option board_type "mdm9207"
option product_type "m7350-eu-v4"
option product_id "73500004"
option product_name "M7350"
option hardware_ver "4.0"
option firmware_ver "1.0.11"
option firmware_ver_build "Build 180119 Rel.1090n"
option product_region "EU"
option product_series "M7350"
option vendor_name "TP-Link Technologies Co., Ltd."
option ssid_prefix "TP-Link_"
I tried to change product type and series to a phone type, because the router is running android, repacked it and tried to upload it.
Obviously this does not work because the firmware is sure as hell checksummed.
Is there anyone who knows how to get the changed firmware zip to upload and update, where is the checksum to rehash or how is the checksum/integrity process working?
Thanks for your help,
New to Android hacking,
Best Mike
TP-Link M7350_V4.0 (EU) Firmware
Hi Mike,
I recently acquired a TP-Link M7350 V4.0 in UK and in the process of messing about with it with a phone SIM card on EE network, I may have 'Bricked' it ... a bit! Obviously this will now be out of warranty now I expect.
Last night, I downloaded the GPL Source Code from the website and unpacked in a laptop runing Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to see what can be done to compile it. Not planning to do that soon, but any leads would be welcome.
Did you use the adb sdk tools to get into the M7350 for the Product Info? I don't think I have that installed now, so I'll need to download that all again I guess. What 4G LTS carrier SIM are you using? I was thinking of getting an O2 SIM with plenty of data before this disaster - supposidly, V4_171208 firmware supports this carrier, which is 'on-hold' now. I'm still showing Firmware: 1.0.5 Build 161110 Rel.1040n, and cannot seem to update.
I'm now thinking this is not a very mature product ... sadly.
Regards,
Richard

Y6 Pro 2017 Dual SIM (SLA-TL10)

I hope someone can please help me with this, I've been given a Huawei phone to see if I can fix it. I'm completely new to Huawei phones, and this seems to be a particularly obscure model. In the about section in the settings menu, it's described as Huawei Y6 Pro 2017. It's a dual sim model, and the model number is SLA-TL10. Build number is SLA-TL10C636B140
When I google search for Huawei SLA-TL10, I find a completely different phone, and when I search for Y6 Pro, I find completely different model numbers.
It definitely has UK, or at least European, firmware, it has a full set of google apps including the play store.
Most of the time it won't connect to a mobile network with either SIM slot. Sometimes it does, but only when there's a 2G network available. For instance it will connect to EE with a E signal, it will detect a giffgaff (O2) signal but won't get a data connection, and it doesn't detect 3 network at all.
I can't find enough out about this phone to establish if this is likely to be a firmware problem, or if I should skip straight to opening the thing up and seeing if one of the antennae isn't connected properly.
It doesn't look like the IMEI has become corrupt, it returns the correct IMEI numbers for both SIM slots. The baseband version does look a bit strange though, it just says 00006,00006 I'm not sure if that's normal?
Is it possible to do something similar to what I would do with a Samsung phone, where I would flash the baseband/modem file with odin? If so, how would I find the baseband file, and what would I use to flash it?
Thanks.
edit: I've been told now that it was bought in Hong Kong, so I guess the firmware is international English? It defaults to English when I factory reset it.

VoLTE and Wifi calling using root, for Three UK. Will it work, what might I lose?

I want to try and enable VoLTE and wifi calling on Three uk on a J8110 as the signal is marginal in the two locations I'd like to use the phone from and coming from a samsung S7, I can see that the phones a few db's down on signal to start off with, so I really need the VoLTE or wifi to make the phone useful to me.
Now under this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-1/help/google-dialer-volte-t3975441
They say they managed to get VoLTE going using root.
1. Root
2. File Manager with root support
3. Go to /oem/modem-config
4. Delete "anysim" folder
5. Rename "S9033.1" to "anysim"
6. Go here " https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80231731&postcount=395" and download "VoEnabler.zip" From the Google Drive link
7. Put "VoEnabler.zip" onto your device and install via Magisk and reboot.
8. You should now be able to use VoLTE and VoWiFi.

So my three questions are;
Is this likely to work? e.g allow VoLTE and maybe wifi calling
Will it break safetynet by rooting the phone? (as I use internet banking)
Will it break anything else like DRM keys.
I see there appears to be multiple rooting options for Android these days if I can do the above is there a particular rooting method thats more likely to preserve the safetynet compatibility?
And maybe the DRM keys.
As I'm only interested in Enabling VoLTE and maybe wifi calling.
As an aside to that I see in this thread, https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-1/help/enable-volte-ee-uk-t3958112/page3
That some people on EE have got VoLTE working without anything special is this just because EE is just a network sl*t and just allow anyone on there system?

If you're on the Customized UK firmware, VoLTE should work by default.
I have the Customized UK firmware downloaded and I just checked, and it does include the required MBN file for VoLTE on H3G in UK. I am on the Dual SIM J9110 however, but I reckon it should be the same on the single SIM J8110 as well.
Yes, rooting will break SafetyNet on the Xperia 1. Magisk Hide works on some banking apps, but some of still fail to work once the bootloader is unlocked.
You will lose DRM keys, but from what I've heard, they are restored if you re-lock the bootloader.

Yeah can confirm its not working on three uk, as other have already said in other threads..
*#*#4636#*#* > Phone info > VoLTE provisioned is grayed out.
Also cannot access three on the 800mhz LTE band 20
TBH three when I spoke to them just wiped there hands of the issue and said we don't sell the phone so speak to sony.
So much for industry standards.

You could try the method that enables the VoLTE toggle. In theory it should work with just that because the required files for IMS registration to work are already included in the modem for the Xperia 1.
why not just flashing another FW before losing DRM keys while rooting
we had a user he used a non European Market Xperia 1
no option for voLTE or Wificalling
after flashing the European FW everything was working just fine for him without any kind of rooting
I have flashed South East Asian (SEA) on mine and it has option for the VoLTE in the Network & internet > Mobile Network
It has Enable VoLTE and it can be toggled on and off. (although we don't have the VoLTE here )
If they are already providing VoLTE. Flash SEA firmware.

No Signal on Samsung Galaxy S10 5G G977N Korean version (Exynos)

Hi, i have bought G977N and later came to know that its IMEI is tampered to get registered on the local networks. it was working before i upgraded it to G977NKOU4CTG1, the original firmware was G977NKSU2BSL7. After upgrading it did not register any of the networks. Got it checked from software expert he told me the network patching done with tempered imei was damaged and now there is no way to do it again on new version G977NKOU4CTG1. I tried to flash G977NKSU2BSL and also the factory firmware of android pie but ODIN get stuck at BOOT.img and download screen shows non-supported version. Can any one help to restore my original IMEI and will it work.
The IMEI ( read: International Mobile Equipment Identity ) is a unique numerical identifier ( 14-17 digits ) for every mobile device what helps to differentiate each device from one another. If you take your phone in for repair, they will track it using the IMEI to distinguish it from the other millions of phones, for example.
IMEI basically has nothing to do with phone's local network settings at all. But it may be used to unlock a phone on certain networks.
The IMEI is stored on phone's /EFS partition and/or /EFS folder. If you didn't backup that before flashing you have lost, IMO, unless you still have the box in which the phone was delivered, because there is usually the IMEI printed, too.
I don't have the box of the phone. The seller has tempered the imei to get it registered on the local network. I didn't backup before flashing. Now what to do. How to downgrade to previous firmware. I tried to flash the previous firmware but it stuck in boot.img.
They told me solution is available for U3 binary but no solution is available for U4 binary.
Awaiting for help on this issue.
You should have returned the device. Since the imei has been tampered with you will not get much help here. Imei changing and tampering is illegal in most countries. And it's not discussed on xda

I'm guessing you also bought a tampered IMEI device. Take it to any local market where there are plenty of phone 'software repair' guys. Ask them if they have Chimera or z3x tool. They'll fix your problem for ~800 PKR.
Remember, if you buy such devices, don't flash anything on them. Every time you do, you'll need to go back to the same software guy and pay him to fix your signal issue.
=========================
For other people reading this comment - Yes I understand IMEI tampering is illegal in most countries. The reason people in Pakistan buy these phones is because the government has levied unreasonable duties on all imported devices, without any consideration for the age/condition. For example, a used/refurbished S10 that costs you 250 USD in the US, will have custom charges of about 250 USD applied to it if you want it to work in Pakistan. So basically you pay double.
I have this same issue somtimes the signal comes and somtimes it doesnt.
