[BUG] After Mi 6, Touch Delay on First Drag reappear in K20 pro. - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Guides, News, & D

I'm using Mi 6 so far has been 2 years. It used to have this BUG. But I'm very happy because Xiaomi fixed this BUG when updating MIUI 10 .
Now, I just bought a new K20 pro. I was surprised when this BUG reappeared. I have tried flashing many roms like Global, EU, CN, PE, Havoc,... but it does not solve this BUG .
Please CONFIRM if you are also facing this issue.
This BUG on my k20 pro in video below:

I watched that video and tested with the same app but cannot get mine to fault like the video.

[EDITED]Touch Inaccuracy And Lag While Using Keyboard, PUBG, Modern Combat And Others

NOTE: This Post Was Edited To Contain Latest Information
The Problem:
While playing any game that uses multitouch i.e. there are two regions on the screen:
i. Joystick area - with which the character moves.
ii. Aiming area - with which you change camera angle and aim at the enemies.
When you try to aim while moving, the crosshair is inaccurate and doesn't stops where it should but a little left or right off where you wanted it to stop. Due to this issue, the game feels like having frame drops.
If you will type too fast there will be a lot of mistakes in typing try typing some words on the keyboard on the extreme of screen, like "que", it shows 'uqe' or something else, the keyboard can't recognize fastly typing words.
Problem in zooming in and out, the touch behaves wierdly.
Many people have made videos regarding this, please see the following videos:
PUBG Bad Aiming
Zooming in problem while playing Clash of Clans
Multitouch Issue On Poco F1 Running On MIUI10 Mi8 ROM
Multitouch Issue On Poco F1 Running On Android 9 Pixel Experience ROM
What Have I Done Till Now:
I have replaced the product and the problems are still there, that means that the problem exists in almost all the devices. I have tweeted them, mailed them and tried everything but Xiaomi or Poco is not even bulding, they have stopped responding to any complaint regarding the device. Do you know what to do when a company doesn't even reply to your queries? you boycott them!
UPDATE: Sold the device and bought Nokia 7 Plus.
Report this issue if you have it too:
If you have the same issue, please report this.
This issue exists in all the firmwares : 9.6.11 -9.6.18
I have posted this everywhere and seems like a lot of people have this issue, Xiaomi is not responding. This is a fraud if they say/do nothing for this.
This is not the 3 Finger Screenshot Issue:
Sorry to burst your bubble but this is not the Ghost touch problem, if you have ghost touch problem, it can be solved by disabling this screenshot feature, but the problem for which the thread is made is totally different.
How to solve the "ghost touch" issue for now: https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/fix-multi-touch-ghost-touch-issue-t3837453
Why am I writing about this everywhere?:
Redmi note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro which were launched a lot of months ago still have this issue and Xiaomi is not responding to them when the problem will be fixed and they are just ignoring the users. If you think I am lying, just search for "Redmi Note 5 Multitouch issue" and you will get your answer.
Xiaomi has done this with us before:
Last time they did something like this was the launch of Mi4i, ask any Mi4i user, how they launched the device as a Flagship and later they pulled all the support for the device and made it so bad on the software front that it was rendered useless after just 1 year of use.
If this problem exists in all the units then they probably used cheap hardware on all the units except the armored edition that was sent for review or they probably ordered touchscreen digitizer from multiple companies some from good companies and some from 3rd class companies and randomly used it because these kinds of issues in a day old phone is not possible.
Update (November 28 2018):
Few users are saying that the touch is slightly improved in latest 8.11.23 beta. Slight improvement 'technically' means that the changes are being done on software and the hardware still suffers from the problem, result of this:
1. Problem will never be fixed completely, there will be slight or may be a noticeable remnant of the issue in some form.
2. Xiaomi will someday break the code and everyone will suffer with the problem again.
3. Fix will not be available for custom ROMS, unless someone manages to port it, Xiaomi is lazy enough to not provide the fixes.
But the people on the Xiaomi forums are complaining that the touch has become terrible after the update: http://en.miui.com/thread-4687147-1-1.html
Don't know who is speaking the truth.

Nope never happen to me , im a gamer myself , playing pubg and moba. maybe ur is faulty try RMA it .
Sometimes the touch is not registering, yes. I used the multi touch tester all and I used four fingers to press and pull. On one out of four occasions it doesn't recognize.
My touch screen has the same problem too.. Registering more touches than there are and missing touches too at times
Working fine on mine. Disable gestures before testing.

Let's say it is due to the gesture, should the display be able to recognize difference between 3 touches and more than 3 touches? and even if it's due to the gesture, why does it have ghost touch?
Well, after disabling it:
The PUBG issue still is there.
4 touch issue is less frequent on disabling gesture but doesn't totally resolves.
Now,
It sometimes makes strange loud noise, happened in front of the engineer who visited me.

For what it is worth. Flashed miui 10 v 8.9.4
Can confirm multi touch issue still exists after 3 finger screen shot but disappear after 3 or more fingers touched , sadly reappears when screen shot is taken again
I hav the exact same problem with mi 6x, that ghost touch input after taking three finger ss but this is gone by turn off but the hell problem is that ABOUT THE TOUCH LATENCY PROBLEM IT IS BIG HORRIBLE WHEN SCROLLING EVEN SCROLLING IN SETTINGS AND I HAV COMPARED TO REDMI NOTE 5 AND IT HAS FASTER TOUCH THAN MI 6X AND MI 6X TOUCH IS REALLY ****IN ANNOYING AND I HAV ALSO GOT KEYBOARD FAST TYPING ERRORS... THIS IS IRRITATING ME TOO MUCH , BTW I GOT THE SAME LATENCY PROBPLEM IN REDMI 5 PLUS BEFORE BUT NOW IT GOT FIXED BY UPDATING SOFTWARE UPDATES, SO I CANT SURE THAT ITS SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE OR CALIBRATION PROBLEM , REDMI NOTE 5 HAS THE EXACT SAME HARDWARE WITH REDMI 5 PLUS AND IT GOT FIXED BY SOFTWARE UPDATES SO HOPEFULLY WE CAN EXPECT MIUI UPDATES WITH TOUCHPANEL FIRMWARE UPDATES , ****ing work Xiaomi

Btw i also wanna know what display ID and touch sensor IDs?? I hav mi 6x same shhit problem and the display is tianma and touch is nt36672 from novatek
Same problem here while typing. I've tried different keyboards, Gboard and SwiftKey. Same typing issue occurs with gestures or buttons enabled.
Global version 64gb, MIUI 9.6.14.0
I've tried a GSI build and unfortunately I've just tried the keyboard bug and it still occurs... I hope it's not a hardware issue. Otherwise clearly I'll send it back.

I was checking out other phones that had this Multitouch issue, it includes Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Zenfone Max Pro M1, etc. Do you know what these all have in common? The IPS display, this is also cited by Beembom and since Xiaomi is not responding to any thread that's created for this issue, I suspect more and more than this is a hardware issue.
Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro still has this issue and it even is present on custom ROM's. The only phone that solved this problem was Max Pro M1, Xiaomi has not got the brains to solve it. MiA1 (my last device) that has a very inferior processor never had this issue, because it has a LTPS LCD.
Start reporting and ask about this before it's too late. Maybe they are waiting to make enough money before telling about this issue.
Since Xiaomi is not saying anything, I have already reached few reviewers and media companies to get Xiaomi's comment on this and have lodged several complaint against Flipkart and Xiaomi for this probable fraud because selling a device showing a point that the latest processor is being used and coupling it with a useless interfacing hardware is less or more a fraud.
I hope Flipkart/Xiaomi fix this issue (if it's a software issue) else refunds me my money.

Can confirm present on my redmi note 5 pro but haven't tried anything outside miui.
Is the display and touch response so bad that's to be real deal-breaker? Or is it common to all IPS display phones under 25k?
My POCO F1 order is in transit, and I was wondering whether I should cancel it before delivery. Please advise.

The only phone with IPS that had the issue fixed via OTA is Zenfone Pro M1.
Few Nokia 7 Plus has it too, but the company fixed those units via some repair.
Poco F1 seems to have this issue out of the box and is not even replying or making any statement regarding this, but it's their common attitude they even did this with mi4i, they launched Mi4i by saying it's a flagship, that time too I bought the phone in the first sale and the device had a major issue related to SD615 heating problem, in the next OTA they said that they have fixed the issue, you know what they did? they permanently disabled 2 cores and when users went mad over this, they reenabled the cores again and in the end the phone got so bad due to their bad optimization that I was getting 1 hour SOT after only 1 years of usage, it's the Mi4i thing all over again.

I used it for week coming from OnePlus 5t I felt screen was to lagging compared to 5t plus the UI has a lot of bug I know they will fix all bugs but if I were you I would pay the extra 200$ and get the OnePlus 6
For me, the intended usage was for 2 years with the phone. And if they have issues with touch and display (the most important and used tangible part of phone) it's not worth buying even if the deal is awesome. I currently use Lenovo P2, having an AMOLED screen, so not sure about IPS display and associated issues. Damn, I was really excited to get my hands on this POCO. Hope they will rectify it soon. But for now..... I have CANCELLED my ORDER.

Used rn5p for 6 months before selling off and buying this phone. Never had any kind of multitouch issue on rn5p, F1 however had the issue, got fixed after I turned off swipe to screenshot. As for lags, this phone HAS some weird problems like frame drops, but that's not related to multitouch issue.

The framedrop is actually the multitouch issue. When you try to aim while moving the screen seems to skip right? that's the multitouch issue and not framedrop. If you are having actual framedrops then that can be easily solved by an update while I am not sure about multitouch because I tried everywhere from Twitter to XDA, none of Xiaomi representative is replying about it.

where to turn off swipe to screenshot ?
You claim the multi-touch is a hardware issue, and blame the IPS display for it?
You DO realize that the IPS display and touch digitizer are two physically different components, right?
This thread doesn't make sense, it's unscientific speculation.

Of course they should have replied. As far as logic goes, I THINK it's a software related bug, also could be a hardware thing, most probably it's not.
Again, I think F1 has very sensitive to touch response, typing on this phone isn't quite ideal, as it detects my finger even 2mm above screen. Overall it's smoother than my usual rate, not quite ideal for ME, need to make the sensitivity lower.

So how's the phantom touch/ghosting on the 7t Pro?

I fear buying the device and have it have ghost touching. The problem was never properly fixed on the 7 Pro, turning off the NFC to fix it is a disgrace on OnePlus' part.
I'm just afraid of getting burned.
Been using it for 11 days now and i haven't faced it so far
I never had it on the 7 Pro with my case, grip, etc...
Why do you say it was never fixed on 7 pro? I seem to remember it was.
But I have a little some times I think. Hope they fix it in next version.
I haven't had ghost touches on my 7T Pro, been using it daily for about a week now.
I haven't had notificition issues which has plagued oneplus since the 3.
In fact, I haven't had any issues so far whatsoever and I don't think I have been more satisfied with a new phone before. Maybe the Nexus 5. That was a flawless device as far as I remember.

Mi 10 fingerprint and camera problem

Hi,
My Mi 10 (umi) got hard bricked. I have sent it to authorised repair shop and they repaired it however the first issue I came to was that I could not add my fingerprint scanner to work but later I have sorted it out by calibrating the sensor. Today I wanted to record some video and opened the camera app. When I tapped on video I came to an issue. I cannot set higher resolution of video than 720p and 30fps. If I click on lets say Pro mode or Portrait mode the app crashes. Does anybody know what could be the problem and how to sort it out? Thanks for the response and sorry for my english.
Phone details:
Model: Mi 10 5G (umi)
Storage/Memory: 128GB/8GB
Software: MIUI 12.0.6.0 Global EEA (QJBEUXM)
Everything worked perfectly before hardbrick.

2) are any/all of the issues resolved after installing the available Custom ROM's?

I think yes, of course it depends of how much money you want spend, in my case the RN 10, is the better option compared with the Samsung and others available in my country.. the screen and dual speaker are the main features for me...
I have NT10 and it have a great hardware and also miui version doen't have any problems with it.
Minor issues on the RN10 such as 10-second AOD timeout but nothing you cannot live with.

The custom roms have a major deal breaking bug with video recording. Even with Gcam the video recording doesn't record sound. Quick restart fixes it but after awhile it goes to same state. Don't know how long will it take for the developers to fix this major bug .
If you don't record much videos, maybe it won't bother you.
Other bugs in custom roms are minor and varying with each rom. But, there aren't anything serious like mentioned above.
If you don't like MIUI then custom rom is the way to go. And, custom rom solves almost all of the shortcomings and annoyances of MIUI. I don't like MIUI so much that even with video bug, I am using Pixel Plus Experience ROM.
