[SHARED ROM] BOOTLEGGERS v4.3 [17/10/2019] [9.0] - Xiaomi Mi 9 Guides, News, & Discussion

Hi guys, found this on telegram channel @mi9channel.
Download
https://sourceforge.net/projects/bo...table-Shishufied-20191017-101634.zip/download
ROM IS NOT MINE!
Credit to @koen01, @tribual and @mi9channel for sharing. Hope you enjoy the rom.

Here my operations for flash this rom on Mi9:
flash recovery 3.3.1.42 by mauronofrio over fastboot (fastboot flash recovery *recovery*.img)
reboot to recovery
format data ---> yes
download vendor 9.8.1 from xda's thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi...-flashable-t3950943/post79947860#post79947860 thanks to @gianton)
flash vendor 9.8.1
reboot recovery
format data ----> yes
flash BOOTLEGGERS V4.3
flash Gapps (any package working) [optional]
flash Magisk 20.0 [optional]
reboot and enjoy!

Features, screenshots?

Screenshot (italy language)

Similar to Havoc with a lot of customization and some system app like mixexplorer or bootleggers wallpaper. Installed today, when i see the result, post the battery drain.
Edit 1- dt2w WORKING!
Edit 2-for now, best aosp based rom for mi9 in my opinion. All working very well, no freeze, no lag, no bootloop, no random reboots even with magisk, edxposed and some other stuff! Tomorrow we see the battery!

you don't need to flash vendor cause they're included

Hola
1. Try and see if you can search for Status Bar in Settings to see if anything shows up.
2. Same as above, search for Blink.
I have see on occasions that certain menus and screens not being found in Settings but accessible via a search in both custom and stock ROMs. Please let us know if you found anything.
Thanks.

Like other aosp custom roms, Can't use 'OK GOOGLE' function?
Has anyone checked?
Unfortunately, this is the only reason to stay in miui11 eu rom.

Their is a bug in the ROM that doesn't allow root for some reason, I'm not sure if the developers will fix it in the next Build. And battery life is good... I get 4-5 SOT. And I don't think it will have DT2W as it's a kernel thing, you can flash a custom kernel that supports DT2W.

Yes, to tweak any kernel settings through an app (Ex. Kernel Adiutor) you do need root. But you can try and find a custom kernel with Aroma Installer so you can configure the kernel settings before Flashing.

Project Treble - GSI Roms after Pie update

So we have official 9.0 update now, which means we have pie vendor installed our devices.
However, it seems non of GSI pie roms work on xz1 even though our vendor and kernel are working properly with pie firmware.
Is there anyone successfully installed 9.0 GSI rom after the official Pie update? Or is there any idea why they don't work?

everything is working fine on GSI 9.0 pie roms but if u need gcam, flash on aosp boot and vendor(because full camera2api and raw support), on stock blobs gcam doesnt work because there is no raw support on stock.

Thanks to your support, I've got finally found a working rom(Pixel Experienced Rom)! Maybe I think the roms I've tried are all sGSI roms that caused bootloops
Now I'm trying to use gcam now, so I've installed pie aosp vendor uploaded in sony open device project(fasboot flash oem ~~~.img). However, it seems it doesn't have problem with booting but gcam still crashes(I think it's cam2api problem). According to your previous comment, it seems I should flash aosp kernel which isn't provided by Sony. So should I manually compile the kernel to make it working?
Sorry for bothering :crying:

reboot one time, after u see setup, reboot recovery and make full wipe(system, data, cache, dalvik, internal), format data and reboot recovery
flash gsi image and gapps(if gapps not included)
reboot recovery, flash magisk and reboot.
now u have aosp rom with working gcam

Sadly, it seems it's impossible to use AOSP based system because of its stability. It's way too unstable to use, but I think I can share the built images to make progress! Again, thanks for your help

I've never experienced the bug when I used that. Did that happen to your XZ1? Or is it the problem of the other Xperia devices? The biggest problem was that it's too unstable that I can barely use that. The network oftenly disconnects and randomly reboots itself.

Yes,my device is G8342. The wifi bug and battery level bug.
my device couldn't connect to any wifi, but sharing hotspot in 2.4ghz/5ghz was fine.
Screen colors look strange.
Randomly reboot,too.
I don't know any solution.
I only knew the methods to the image step by step from Sony's source.
Maybe we should build the kernel by ourselves
The problem you mentioned about disconnecting network, does it happens on wifi or mobile data?
Sorry, just a quick question has as resurrection remix has a treble room out, has anyone tried it?

Yeah, we should... I'm just a newbie developer, and really sad that we're lack of developers who can help XZ1 users, but I believe one day users make this out together. The dispaly color is because of AOSP's default display color temperature, maybe we can fix this out by touch some configs of kernel

I've used your Treble Pie for a while and it's awesome. Gotta try this as well. Thanks a lot for all the work!
P/s: Can you make a custom overclocked kernel for your Pie ROMs? I've been using Extreme Kernels (for stock Oreo) and they are amazing. I wonder if Pie can also get a similar kernel.
Yeah bro thanks for this work..can you optimize kernel to make sodp rom usable

Hi,
Can you please help me with the download from the GSI? Where can I get the right file from?
after install, bluetooth and settings tell me that it stops all the time and sim cant be detected. Also there is some encryption so i can't access data or system anymore with twrp... even magisk can't be installed. great...
After running into a ton of errors, I think I've done something wrong. I have a few questions:
1. Where does Disable ForcedEncryption (DFE) go to in the installation process? If I flash the zip before Lineage (or not flasing at all), the phone encrypts itself right on boot. If I flash DFE zip after Lineage, the camera (and all the sensors) die permanently.
2. Regardless of the phone's encryption status, sometimes the phone just fails to recognize all the sensors (except Wifi, battery and GPS). That means no accelerometer, no screen rotation, no compass or light sensor. Rebooting fixes this on Lineage (for a while), but on RR once it occurs all sensors die permanently. Also GPS reception is terrible, as I haven't got a single fix.
Hope anyone who has been using Treble roms could give me an answer. Thanks in advance.

This version of LOS is outdated and does not work on latest Treble.
An updated LOS build (with Expanded volume and latest security patch) can be downloaded on this thread and installed over latest Treble.
Since this phone requires arm64 A-only GSIs to boot, the compatible version should be lineage-16.0-2019xxxx-UNOFFICIAL-treble_arm64_avN.img.xz.

Thanks man the ROM is great! But is it possible to make the camera work like it did on the original Xperia X stock ROM. I mean the camera is pretty dark on all custom ROMs is there any fix for that?

You can use Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16 instead. That one has some heating issues and gaming performance might not be optimal (due to CPU throttling), but camera and battery life is almost identical to stock. In fact, I only use Treble LOS as daily driver because I play games on my phone quite a lot.
If you still insist on using Treble however, you can check out Google Camera ports (scroll down a little bit on Treble page). With HDR+ or Night Mode the picture quality is stellar, but taking pictures might be a bit slow. As far as I know it only runs on Treble and Omni.

Yeah I am using the gcam port and I get pretty good pictures with it but not very good video quality so I guess I'm gonna give it a try to Chippa_a's Unofficial LOS16.

Pen and keyboard not work!
What's in the assembly:
1) Fixed charging when the device is off
2) Fixed volume levels
3) Fixed the name of the device
4) System is available for write, you can make your edits
Download link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=335163
How to flash:
fastboot reboot fastboot
fastboot flash --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash system lineage_18.1_elish.img
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot
If you use a magnetic cover, install flipflap.apk and give him the root right
Boot with magisk: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=335211
GApps can be installed as module magisk
https://github.com/wacko1805/magiskgapps
Or microg + aurora
https://themagisk.com/microg-installer/
https://f-droid.org/en…ages/com.aurora.store/
Problems and their solutions:
1) Sound problems. Settings - Phh Treble Settings - Misc features - Disable audio effects
2) 120 Hz screen. Settings - Phh Treble Settings - Misc Feature - Force FPS - 120
3) Hide the PHH Treble Settings section in settings. adb shell "pm disable me.phh.treble.app/.TopLevelSettingsActivity"

The system is available for writing, you can put the apk to priv-app folder
Wow, can't wait to try!! Thanks for your effort! I have the 5g model. If I don't pursue voice calls, does it work without any modification? (I can't programme...). Also does the pen work? Cheers!

Hi, I saw 2 files
boot_V13.0.10.0_magisk_v25.1.rarboot_V13.0.8.0_magisk_v25.1.rarBut I am now on V13.0.6.0 and can't see any update to 13.0.8 or 13.0.10, do I need too update the firmware first (13.0.8 or 13.0.10) to flash the "rooted boot" boot_V13.0.10.0_magisk_v25.1.rar or boot_V13.0.10.0_magisk_v25.1.rar
Thanks!
