Standby drain - Realme X2 Pro Real Life Review

When you sleep, does your phone sleep, or does it stay up all night and crunch 1s and 0s? Rate this thread to express how you deem the speed at which the Realme X2 Pro's battery drains under standby conditions. A higher rating indicates that when the phone is not in use, the battery drains minimally.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

decent standby drain
Over the last night (about 7hrs) the X2 Pro lost 4-5 %pts.
WiFi, Dual SIM, Bluetooth and NFC on (nothing used).
No optimization was manually activated.
Not many apps with background sync were set up, yet.
I think slightly less than 1 % per hour is a decent result. But I've seen phones with smaller batteries (so 1% equals less power than in the Realme), which only used 0.25 - 0.5 % per hour in standby.

Photographs app high %
Hello friends,
I've this phone since 2 weeks and it's just amazing. But I've done a test and I would like to know if it happens the same to you:
Last night, 0h30, disconnected from charger at 95% and went to sleep with a scheduled iVoox.
This morning I've seen it drained 5%, not bad for 8h sleeping.
But the fact is, as you can see in the screenshot, most of the baterry drained has been because of the "Fotografias" app. I'm not using this app (I use Google Photos instead).
Is it normal? Even being iVoox running for 30mins... it is just 28%, less than the other app that I don't use.
Sorry for the big screenshot, I don't know how to shrink it here.

[discussion] how to define a good battery life

Hye guys..
1st important thing, this thread is not to compare any rom or kernel.
Just want your opinion on how 'a good battery life' is.
On average usage, i got 1day+ of battery life on my neo v with average usage; messaging & calling. Max cpu set to 806Mhz.
On heavy usage, gaming & heavy internet surfing, oc to 1200MHz, the battery use is -+10% per hour.
So give your opinion about it.
One work day is for me good battery life.
About 13 hours.
All time 3G, sync/gmail, facebooc, dropbox, drive, browsing, youtube. Some photos, 1-2h calls, 100+ sms cpu profile ondemand( min 122-max 1024) sometimes rising up to 1400mhz. Screen brightness 50%.
And 20+ always left.
This is for me good battery life.
MT15i MIUI latest.
For me it's only about the standby time, because screen on time is crap whatever you do. (Well, I get about 6 hours of video playback with screen on 50%).
So measured by night drainage, I'd day 0-5% loss in 8 hours standby (WiFi, sync, some background apps like e-mail) is good, 10% or less is acceptable and more than 10% is bad.
With basic usage (3G or wifi on all day, some whatsapp(chat) or texting, no browsing or watching videos, maybe listening some music) it should be easy to let your charger at home en still have some juice left in the evening.
I'd call this good (MIUI V4 2.6.1, The Alliance kernel @1,6GHz)

Downside of ICS that you'll have to keep your CPU at 1,6GHz to make your user experience smooth.

battery level ?

People usually talk about battery life for continuous usage, but i want to ask about battery life when leaving the phone off ?
After a few tweaks, i noted that betterbatterystats shows my phones has been booted on for 5 days 15 minutes, out of which it's been 4 days 5 hours 20 minutes in deep sleep; and only seen 1 hour 59 minutes of actual usage (screen on basically means when i'm actually actively using it)
unplug means when i unplug it from usb charging after it was already 100% fully charged.

So how does my phone battery stats compare to the normal life time for the Samsung S3 when not in use ? just wondering.
I give most credit to greenify for helping keep my phone in deep sleep mode most of the time. Apps that are waking my phone is mostly googlemaps, and greenpower (left this ungreenified because it managed when to turn on/off my wifi, when i open screen .... which it probably can't do if i greenify it)
other than the few wake locks; the wifi on is mostly due to syncs. I usually set my apps to at most only sync when i turn on the app, or at max once a day. Greenpower will trigger to turn on wifi when the app requests access :X
PS: i'm using wanamlite and adam kernel. As well as philz CWM touch for root.

Phone idle drains so much battery at night

Hello I need help to reduce battery consumption when the phone is idle the device is an ASUS Zenfone Max M2 (ZB633KL) I bought the phone on March 30, 2019 it's first month in April was good and it only consumes 1% when idle the whole night sometimes it doesn't and then around May 17 until now the battery consumes more around 12% - 15% like last night it was 86% at 10:20 pm then I woke up it was 72% at 5:48 AM I don't think this idle battery consumption is pretty normal since batteries go bad after 2 years or so.
PS sorry for my bad grammar and I hope you could help me. Thanks
Do You use app like Smart View??I have this phone and never have this issue. You must have something installed and this drainbattery.

I don't have that app installed, only had facebook, messenger, and youtube. I might also ask if i could use my phone's 1 year warranty to replace the battery or the phone itself, the battery might be defective at all.
A little update on this issue a week ago after updating on Android 9.0 Pie the battery consumption became worst it consumes 15 - 20% maybe the update was buggier I found a lot of complaints from different users I will link a screenshot from last night and this morning.

Question about battery life issues (VS996 version - Verizon)

I bought a used but mint LG V30 on Swappa several months back, which replaced a Note 3 that I bought brand new basically the day it came out (so yes, I was using a 5 year old Note ). Battery life was excellent (obviously, compared to the Note, which had gone through three batteries in its life). Lately, however, I have hit a snag. When I'm outside in the daytime using the phone, the battery drops very quickly. Inside, in the evenings, on an airplane, it's seemingly fine. It also does amazingly well on stand-by. It seems like it'll stay charged for two days if I don't touch it.
This daytime thing though... Here is an example from today, just a few hours ago.
This was after not charging it at all last night, and then leaving it on a wireless charger at the office for a bit (the two spikes). You can see that any use causes an immediate drop. This is autobrightness on, and it's at 100% outside
At 83%

}
2 min later, 82%
2 min later, 81%
Then I took it off auto-brightness and stuck it on 48%. I was able to get 6 min out before a 1% drop.
Unfortunately, outside, anything short of 75% or so is essentially unreadable.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? Here's everything been running (and yes, I lost another 5% with 10 min of use.

Battery drain - bugreport Battery Historian

Hi guys, I have a Redmi Note 7 and I'm using Pixel Experience ROM. I had experienced battery drain even with MIUI, but I don't understand what's causing it.
I used Battery Historian and these are the result. I got a very high discharge rate (20% and over) even if brightness is not at its maximum, but by reading BH results, I hadn't found out the culprit for the battery drain. The drain is there even when screen is off, but I limitated it to about 1.5%/h thanks to some Doze modification.
I'm actually using Greenify to hibernate some apps (like Instagram, Facebook and few more), because I've noticed that, without it, the screen-on discharge may rose of a (around) +3%.
How could I limit the battery drain problem?
have you used a custom kernel
Since Android 9 there is the Adaptive Battery Feature:

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Enable Use Adaptive Battery if not already done yet.
Additionally turn off Wi-Fi, BlueTooth & Location ( GPS ) if not used: it should be obvious that the less these wireless modules are running, the less the battery gets drained. FYI: GPS drains battery greatly.
I'm currently using Predator Stormbreaker kernel, in an attempt to partially fix the battery drain, but things are same as before. Adaptive battery is on, but my phone keeps discharging fast :/
