Yes, I tested in India on Airtel Cellular. Speeds are drastically slower to when I was on 10.3.8 Stable. I also get an idea how battery life is lower but can't say anything so early, I will test it.
I am thinking of rolling back.

Yes curious ur ryt ... Speeds r slower and theres connectivity issues after the update

Yes if you mean when browsing on browser. My area doesn't have WIFI so haven't tested. But I assure you mental trauma after updating because
Slower network speeds
Battery draining very quickly
There is a bug in Mi Share (new built-in sharing) when you try to share file (screenshot) when gallery app is locked it will not open intended app where you want to share it will keep asking for password again and again.
There no much use of Added features (which they didn't give POCO all of them) when fundamentals are being compromised like Battery Life and Network quality.

Low network speed and Battery drain are things which are annoying me the most from this list because this is why you buy a phone for.
Airtel speed is good only when you switch off the phone and switch on it works fine I updated big apps in morning and got 5 Megabytes (yes bytes not bits) per second but after using it for few minutes problems start and then you get speeds only upto 1 megabytes that too it barely touches 1 MBps only few times otherwise it is around 700 Kilobytes/sec , today I downloaded Miramar map in Pubg and it took hell lot of time unlike before when it download in matter of few minutes.

Massive battery drain, caused by switching internet?

Hello everybody,
I am confronted with a nasty problem.
My 2 weeks old s2 suffers under massive battery drain if using the 3g/hsdpa internet. I will explain it with a timeline:
In the morning, phone was fully charged over the night.
I start my day with 100 % in the edge network. I live on countryside, there is not just more :-/
I can listen to music, surf in fb, .... battery does not drop significantly. I think everything is fine.
When I drive over to the next city, where I go to school, 3g/hsdpa is available.
Phone switches permantly between 3g and hsdpa, even if signal is above 3 lines.
Internet is really slow or even just does not work!
Battery starts to drop massively!
As I write this, it's 3:45 pm, my battery is just about 25%.
Today, I only listened to music, played some mini games and bugvillage, tried to surf and checked ebay...
Technical Informations:
Cognition 1.51
Changed modem to kdj, read that it is better than kh3
Ninpo 2.1.3 kernel
Display is on auto setting
TW 4.5 Launcher
Apps running in background(just to receive/send informations, not opened):
Facebook
Whatsapp
Googletalk
Gmail
Bugvillage
Is there a fix for the switching signal, which causes this massive battery drain or do you know where the problem is?
Regards,
crapman

With email and other apps synching all the time, 8 hours battery life is probably quite normal. I can get thru the day till 9pm by emails every hour, no chat but I read a lot. Screen on time typically 3 hours..wifi and 3g on.
I use stock dxkh2 and speedmod t39

Sounds like a modem/radio problem you could try changing and see if it makes a difference.
If your getting weak signal it does drain the battery.
Could also be a rouge app causing wakelock.
Search for betterbatterystats app on the forum this should help you track down if an app is causing problems
EDIT: also if your only getting E at home try changing to 2G only
settings - wireless and network - mobile data.
This is a bug in the modem. Either play around with different modem versions and see if the behavior changes, or use the *#301279#* dial code to enter a hidden menu, and chose to release R99, this will disable H speeds and it will limit you to 3G, and not switch anymore. It may improve battery life.

Why does Samsung build a phone which battery lasts 8 hours using all functions???

Yeah, I think the same, do you know which modem/radio is the best?
I installed this app but it makes me not more intelligent than before.
For what I have to look?

For a bug, which is caused by Samsung, i have to decrease my internet speed?
I want to have fast internet....?!
Nevertheless, thanks for your replies!
modems are kinda region specific, so what works best may not be very good for you. I've stuck with KG6 but i hear that the KH3 one is pretty good
In betterbatterystats click where it says process and change it to wakelocks, these are the apps keeping your phone from deep sleep when the screen is off. so the ones with alot of time below them are not doing your battery any favours.
If you switch to 2g in bad reception areas it can really help, i know its hassle to keep changing but if your handset is constantly switching from 2G/3G your not getting fast internet anyways
hope this helps!

It's switching between 3G and H/H+ all the time. I have the same problem sometimes, it has nothing to with signal strength it seems.
Try flashing different kernels, may help. Check and control what is constantly synching..
No phone with big screen lasts 24 hours with all sync and push and chat/streaming/browsing, even blackberry.
the battery does take some time to cycle and will give better battery life.

The dial code really helped me, battery is much better and I can now use my internet properly, despite I am a bit sad not having HSDPA speed :-/

as you might know Slim 4.4.3 is a beta, hence you have to live with bugs. Just to make sure, did you do all wipes and formats as instructed when installing the rom?
Arrrrr right yer ok, it's not a biggy and yes I did all the wipes n factory reset too, the wi - fi one works ok, I need to do 10 posts before I can report this bug in the devs thread.

It's currently on ver. 4.2 and runs pretty smooth, battery life really depends on what you do with the phone, standby time is great but if you like to fiddle n play games as I do then expect to charge at least once a day, plus I have 3 e-mail accounts that sync + facebook + tapatalk + ebay etc.

my refrence for smooth means in sense of app opening & multi tasking the new update is fast when compared to last update for our device....
and ram usage is somewhere between 632 - 820mb for me after the new update when compared to last update it was some where around 820- 1gb
Has the battery life improved? I average around 0.4 watts per hour on the NH3 ROM which is what I used to get on Jellybean.

Try a DedS kernel. Sometimes, it fixes Wi-Fi, and ruins it at others.
For AnTuTu, try three times and take the average. The benchmark may not be accurate, that's it.

It's probably unstable.
Can you also try it with 3g ? And also that 5 bar signal doesn't always say the truth. For example I was geting 5 bar signal 2 days ago and also I was getting 2 mbps on speed test which is realy bad.
I'm having good battery life now I used smart network xposed module to be in 3g when screen on 2g when off. Hardly go 4g lte.
Hello…Have u fixed this now ?I come across the same prob on HTC u11

WiFi strength, range, and throughput

Rate this thread to express how you think the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's Wifi performs. A higher rating indicates that it has excellent range, throughput, and signal strength. Like when you're taking a dump in the bedroom upstairs, do your videos have to buffer or do they come through without interruption?
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
My mi 8 lite wifi strenght is not good.when other phones are good in same place .but my phones is weak wifi strength.please share and compare this phone with other phones with wifi analyzer program.and share it.
This phone's WiFi is much much better than my Samsung GS7 ever was. On my 5Ghz wifi, I had one wifi bar in my bedroom with the SGS7.. With this phone, I have four bars. Much love for this phone so far!
Compare to my old Redmi Note 3 SE (Kate) the Mi8 lite is very poor in 4G LTE reception ! Very bad :'(
Wifi is very bad too, in the same place my old phone is better !!!
Materiel problem or software ?

Thanks, I was worried wanna buy this phone and I'm searching for issues like all!
I'm having issues with wifi. It keeps disconnecting and sometimes only connects back when I manually tap the wifi's name in the list. I can't tell if it's from the phone itself or the MIUI 10.3.1.0 Stable, since my phone is one week new and I spend only a few hours with older MIUI version before updating to the latest 10.3.1.0 stable. That's what I'm hopping for, so maybe it's fixed in the next MIUI version.

I have the same problem.
I have a problem with WiFi (mobile data) too .
I have full strength signal but sometimes the device stops getting data. This is so annoying!!! For example, when I'm on Facebook app I start to watch a video and then the video stops buffering and after some refreshes on Facebook app the data comes being downloaded again. This doesn't happens only with Facebook, it happens with everything like Instagram, Google Chrome, etc. I stop automatic synchronization but no result.
Anyone have this issue?
