SD Card issues after applying October scurity update - Xiaomi Mi A3 Questions & Answers

Hi,
Does any one have issues with accessing SD card after applying October security update? I am using it as portable storage, and it says it is corrupted after upgrade. Format does not help. SD card can be formated and used as internal storage, but not as portable. I was able to format SD card on the laptop, but phone is not recognising it after. Same message SD is corrupt.
Thanks,

In my case, when copying music to an external drive, there is a playback problem and duplicate files appear. I tried everything, even went to the warranty service, could not do anything. I found only one person with a similar problem, but it didn’t give me anything. Maybe it’s in the SD memory card class..

[Q] How to upgrade from a 16GB card to 32GB card?

Hi,
I have a rooted HTC Sensation (I know very old) and it has 1.15GB of internal storage. I have inserted a 16GB Class 4 SanDisk card and around 100 apps are installed on my phone.
But yesterday I bought a 32GB Class 10 Samsung Evo SD Card and I want to put that in my phone. So my question is: How should I upgrade to the 32GB Card? Should I copy the contents of my 16GB Card to PC and then copy all that content to my 32GB Card, so that all the apps work fine on my phone? Or am I doing it wrong?
One more question. I use Solid Explorer as my file manager. When I check the 'Properties' of my phone it shows everything like how much storage is used, how much is left, different types of files, etc. But I don't understand what 'Other' means (screenshot below) and it's taking up 715MB of storage on my SD Card. How can I get rid of that? If I copy all the contents of my 16GB card then this 715MB of data will also be copied and I don't want that. Please help me. I sent an email to the developer of Solid Explorer a long time ago but he didn't reply.

Desire 310, SD card not mounting

Hey guys!
A year ago I divided my 16gb sd card in to 2 partitions of 8gb with MiniTool Partition Wizard. Last week I wanted to get it back to normal so I used Minitool Partition Wizard and made my card whole again, but the thing is that in my phone it doesn't mount it just shows total space: 0.00b, meanwhile if I put in the sd card reader on the pc it shows that it is ok and that there are no errors.

Hello and welcome to the XDA Q&A section of the Forum.
If your computer can see it in Windows you can format it as FAT32. Assuming you have Windows 7, connect the sdcard to your computer, click start, click my computer, right click your sdcard and click format and choose FAT32 as format. It doesn't matter if you quickformat it . Then, put it in your phone and format it as portable storage and it should work
Hope it works and hit "thanks" if it did .

Moto Condor stucks while installing ROM in twrp

I was using extended 4.6 ROM but it keeps on hanging. Icame to know that this problem could be because of the fact that the SD card has not been formated since long and I was having second Patition on my SD card as Ext.4 where I used to transfer my apps data via apps2sd.
U came to know that this error gets corrected when we install fresh ROM along with formatting the SD card and using it as internal.
So I formatted my SD card as NTFS in my PC. Then I put the ROM file along with open gapps and magisk on the SD card. But when I inserted and tried to install the same on my phone, I found that the phone is unable to read the SD card. I tried by making it Fat32 but still the problem persists.
Then I used another SD card of mine and tried installig the OS through it. But the phone stucks on the enclosed image. Please give yr views as where am I missing something.
I have till now tried 3 OS and these files were working perfectly before this.
My problems are:
1. That old SD card is not detected in my moto e.
2. How to pass this stuck error.

Need Help! Vodafone N10 PLEASE

I have a Vodafone N10 and it's a disaster. The memory is much too small and when I insert an SD card, it shows me that SD cards are not supported as internal memory. Only as mobile storage for photos etc. I tried to root with tools but it doesn't work. Can someone help me here, please?
If phone doesn't support "Adoptable Memory" feature then it is so, accept it.
BTW: Rooting doesn't help.

The memory card gives you additional space for saving apps, music, videos clips etc.

Here vodafone describes that it should work with the sd card. But when I insert it, it shows me that the SD card can only be used as mobile storage. I have already tested it with three sd cards.

Can't transfer files when in TWRP

Hope everyone's safe out there...
I remember I used to transfer files just fine when in TWRP but now I can no longer do that and I don't know why. I've tried different versions of TWRP such as:
twrp-3.5.2_9-0-beryllium.img
twrp-3.3.0-0-beryllium.img
twrp-3.2.3-2-beryllium.img
no luck yet.
I've tried on Intel and Ryzen. The PC recognizes the phone is connected but it won't let me access the internal storage; in fact, the icon doesn't even appear on "This PC".

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Here it gives me the option to "eject" the phone.
Here is the "device manager" showing there doesn't seem to be a problem with drivers. I installed "Qualcomm" drivers and also downloaded Mi Flash Tool and installed those as well.
I read somewhere that after I do a "Factory Data", I can transfer files again with no problem: Well, it wasn't my case.
I want to try to get this resolved since it is easier than transfering files though ADB. I was wondering if there's a known solution to this matter?
TIA!
You are encrypted.
You can transfer files using a spare phone and a SD card (a SD card won't cost a fortune)
