What is LineageOS:
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Instructions:
- Download the latest build and gapps/root and place them in your phones storage
- Reboot to twrp
- Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik
- Flash it all
- Reboot to system
- SUCCESS!
Known issues:
- You tell me
Please note:
- DO NOT report bugs if you have xposed or other than the rom original kernel
- This build is almost fully stable and its stable enough for daily use
- I recommend using opengapps (link: LINK )
- if the rom doesnt pass safetynet WITH magisk installed, go to the magisk manager settings and re-enable magisk hide (turn it off and turn it on)

Nice, report what you think

I will install this on my dead touch screen bacon
Edit: flashing is so fast, even faster than pie
Edit2: Except battery percentage can't be shown, back swipe not working in trebuchet launcher, digital wellbeing is stopping working; rest is fine, feel smooth and better than Android pie. I believe lineage source is bug because pe is running fine for most phones on Android 10. Hope lineage can fix all their bug and remove some duplicate stuff, which already supports on Android 10 such as theme

Wellbeing is crashing on pie too so idk about that,
But thanks for saying and testing :good:

Just like to say.....did a thorough test yesterday on GPS,as I was out around town and it performed well....

cool! nice to see the continued lineage support!! Almost felt nostalgic while browsing the ringtone and notification sounds. Some of those tunes are there since android 1.5 or 2.1!
Otherwise seems ok. There is some (micro)stutter when scrolling or expanding the notification bar. Also traffic indicators are in the middle instead of lined up to the right. Not many settings but that was never the point of lineage. for an early build it looks pretty good!
Also a tip for the rest: (as of the time of posting) you can flash android 10 open gapps. since it greyed out on their mainpage you have to go to their sourceforge and then the beta folder where android 10 beta gapps can be found. works for me and could log in. No issues so far. flashed magisk too but both safety net checks didn't pass.

try magisk props config module or whatever it was called and change fingerprint to onyx, it might do something, the slutter when scrolling should be fixed in the next build i think and thanks for using it :highfive:
Edit: ok you don't actually have to use the magisk props config module, just turn magisk hide off and on and it will fix safetynet

Hello,
Thanks for the rom, it is super smooth and fast.
Some issues:
Quick charge doesn't work (origninal and aftermaket chargers)
customization doesn't work (black dark theme crashes)
override force-dark autodisables after reboot
battery life seems worse than LOS 16
Regards

For me black theme work.
Magisk and yt vanced working.
Led notification not working.
Swipe lock screen is not accurate. Sometimes I have to slide my finger a few times before unlock.
Long loading photos on galery. On Los16 works fine with the same number of pictures.
Battery profiles are removed? Or moved somewhere else?
Customize navigation buttons?
Besides that, great rom. I love bacon.

I had troubles with gestures (back gesture do not work). Also pill home button is not working (nothing happens when I choose this type of buttons), and I could not find setting to disable hardware buttons under the screen. Besides that it works ok. Google pay is not working and it said that I have rooted Phone (netflix is also not visible on Google play), but safetynet is passed

We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimizations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.

You may post.
This ROM was tested under the following conditions:
1. Wipe/Factory reset
2. Flash ROM, Gapps, SuperSU, in that order
Any other conditions may cause problems
This is the first build, there may be issues that I didn't test for, but major functionality is OK.
@ZakooZ
Is it possible to use the latest 7-11-17 kk_bl.img with this rom? It is from mosimchah from his AICP rom and includes the latest changes. I would like to give Paranoid a try but as you know I'm still locked on the old bootloader.

I highly doubt it
I just made this: PA_KK_BL_kernel.zip. Try it, flash after rom+gapps and before supersu. I haven't tested it so I can't guarantee it does work.
Okay, guys!
Short review!
I've tested the rom for a few days now and so far it is rock stable. All works fast and smooth and battery seems on par with AICP/LOS/RR.:highfive:
I'm missing a lot of features like more quick settings tiles, more customizable navbar, statusbar center clock and so on... :crying:
It's almost like stock android with another browser, calender and music app and theming options, which I've not tried yet.
I know, it's an early build but I need too much of additional apps to get the missing features back, so I'll switch back to my prefered rom for now.
Maybe when more features are added and the rom is more like PA in 2014/15 was....but it is a start!:good:
ROM Looks Tasty
I'm always up for a port that tries a new direction and this seems to do that. All my tests with new ROMS is always full format and wipe, running current stable TWRP, LP BOOTLOADER, etc. It looks like this work runs plain Super SU without Magisk, and you indicate open gapps. Could I use magisk at all? And I find the BEANS Gapps to be more reliable.
Not to pry, but where are you focusing now for these versions? Are you still going to keep up with the big changes that PA brings, or work further with Oreo developement?
Either way, I'd like to give this one a run just for fun.
Thanks as always for your work that keeps my tabs, and my wife very happy. ;DeanoD

I missed something here; I have Prime kernel on all my units. Is it essential to switch to the Lineage Kernel that you provide? Always curious about inter-compatibility with such things to keep it working well.
With that said, I need an updated to my TWRP version. In which order to flash TWRP, KERNEL, ROM, AND SUPERUSER. (Or TWRP, ROM, MAGISK- or is that asking for trouble? Thaks again. ;-DeanD
Solid ROM. Nice, Simple, Clean
I flashed this ROM last night, and so far, I'm very impressed. While it lacks some of the bells and whistles from the RR build, it has a solid feel to it. Speed and performance are great as well. Other than a slight keyboard lag, this could work well as a daily driver on my stable of three smp600 units. I started with one, found one online when my wife wanted one, and then I got another for backup (and tinkerin') . While the ROM flashed perfectly, the suggested kernel was a bust. But, the build is I think more robust than the other's I've tried. I do miss having a recents menu, and I haven't been able to find any pie controls. I'm glad that I was scouring the forums and found this gem. Great Work! ;-DeanoD
"Official Devices"?
I'm interested about the improved pie controls listed under the features of this ROM.
I could not find them. I'm guessing that my smp 600 is somehow not an "Official Device" for this ROM. Just curious. ;-DeanoD
With all apparent development at a standstill for all of there great ROMS from the crew here at XDA, I suspect that there are others like me who are having withdrawal symptoms. Dare I say that XDA further spoils us because we reap the benefits of ROM developments A LOT faster here than we would otherwise get from the OEMS. I still cringe when I see an ad for a "new" android device running VERSION 5! Then they put so much effort into the next new devices.
All I can say or offer is my sincere praise for the people here BEHIND the ROMS. But, can anyone PLEASE offer some glimmer of hope that all is not completely dead with our SMP600 just yet. And, if anyone needs testers, I am ready to run with any of the roughest draft ROMS. This one seemed to start with a great starting point and then just stopped. Any news at all? ;-DeanoD
So far I like the ROM it feels solid. I use my tablet for drawing mostly and I'm finding that palm rejection is not working. The apps that I use are Autodesk Sketchbook Pro and Adobe Photoshop sketch. Anyone else seem to be having this issue?

Yeah, I'm also having the same issue, on stock palm was rejected when the pen was recognized, that doesn't happen here unfortunately. Couldn't get my LeftureNotes app to work no matter what I chose for palm rejection. Otherwise great ROM!
@ZakooZ Did you will update the ROM to Paranoid Android 7.3.1 or to Paranoid Android OA1 ?

I do not recommend this as the rom is already stable
Instructions for oreo go
So....you want a full lagless experience isn't it?(although the lag is only in recent apps.....if you are facing lags other than recents screen....then pls reboot 2 -3 times....it will be fixed)
So i think i have a solution...You may have heard about oreo go....
So we just need a oreo go rom ... isn't it??well thats simple ...but...
You may lose some of the features ....
1>No facelock
2>Simple UI
3>Simple Animation
4>Multi window
5>Reply from notification
6>Some apps will be replaced by go edition of apps(relatively smaller in size and ram consumption)
I will update this list when i find other things
So made you mind??ok here you go

Battery is draining fast but any fixes in future will solve that. I tested rom and it's like any beta ROM, buggy, laggy.

I did notice (stuff happens...) but that wasn't the nature of my post which was not directed your way. Actually, solid tip-of-the-hat to you for bringing a stable, feature complete Android 8.1 based ROM to the table. Nicely done.

Haha thanks, But I know how to install a TWRP, I'm just wondering if it works with the updated bootloader in Nougat ?
There is no option for update in about telephone?
Also, the audio error, should be the same with other models that use Oreo, is the use of the ffmpeg Codec in Oreo, by Google

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device. LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review ( http://review.lineageos.org ).
Important:
This thread is for stock LineageOS 13.0 and any mods, kernels or Xposed framework will not be supported.
If features, options or code is NOT in the official source code, it will not be in my builds.
Recommended Firmware:
Most recent firmware for OOS 3.6.1 is recommended.
Known Bugs:
None
Installation:
Download the zip(s)
Install a compatible Recovery (TWRP recovery recommended)
Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data/factory reset
Flash LineageOS
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon http://opengapps.org/ ( I tested nano and stock pkgs)
Reboot
Note: Built in root is available in Dev Options, but I'd use magisk

I know some of you may wonder why even post something as old as marshmallow. I still get a lot of use from LOS 13, and have been building it for myself for a while. I figured I'd upload the latest with Jan security patches, for those who want it. Happy flashing.
Not sure about the support we'll get from LOS going forward. They never merged February security patch, but they may have just been busy. We'll see.
does it have hal3 with hdr and all that cool quality we used in marshnallow?

wow, this is great!
thank you mate!
You can get volte by flashing the kenzo patches. Just saying.
I also built this ROM myself to which I had mentioned in another post. Good job!
Any chance you're able to build with release keys instead? This will then allow some apps (its quite minimal) to run correctly.

I missed so much the great customization that CMTE brings to LOS!
as far as I can see 'til now, there's no issue at all with your ROM.

Yes. They will. Flash the patch1 zip, boot up the phone, wait 10-15 seconds until you start seeing that the com.android.phone has stopped working. Then go to recovery and flash patch2 zip, clear dalvik cache and reboot. Voila.

Thanks for this. I updated first post.
Does anyone know of any cm13 theme which properly themes all the essential apps?
This ROM has been a really good ride for the past month or two for me - very stable and actually there is not much new in Android 7.x which really matters. LineageOS unfortunately made 14.x unstable by reworking the kernel in the middle. It's ok for the most time but then some random event happens and it will drain your battery in few hours.
I think I will stay on this ROM assuming Android security patching still happens in future. Thanks monark88!

I've got a new build, but nothing is significantly changed. I've been working on a custom kernel for MM, with extra governors and upstream merges. I'm running this ROM myself, so you can bet when there is a security patch, I'll upload it for us all.
I'm with you on anything above android 6.0. When LOS 14.x kernel was reworked, I was on RR unofficial. I remember the drastic changes. I compiled this not soon after and have been on it since. I've watched on the forums as everyone has scrambled after HAL3, and balancing HAL3 with HDR (or the lack there-of) and all the non-sense that goes with it.
Meanwhile we've got manufacturer supported blobs and code for everything our phone was meant to do, in a nice stable OS.
If you're reading this, and thinking about trying it, just download the ROM, flash xposed (or use xposed magisk) and get Android N-ify, Amplify, Greenify, Alert Slider, and GravityBox. You'll be kicking it on the OP2 old school, updated, and stable.
That's right. Many people don't seem to be very methodical when testing new ROMs. Mostly noted on comments about battery life. I don't use my phone much as the majority of my daily work / comms happens on PC - so its easy for me to see changes when I update the phone. I don't use gapps either, so my testing is purely based on the kernel and the ROM performance. This ROM can go up to 5-6 days in idle / light usage, whereas the latest official LineageOS 14.x is probably around 4 days same use. Feel free to test. Same applies to boeffla-kernels, they consume much more battery on idle than the LineageOS stock.
I'm not a developer myself but it's easy to understand that all this hacking for newer Android versions than the source code provided by manufacturer, can very easily lead into problems. It could be ok, but unfortunately many people always think that the latest is always better. I think it's fair to say that new android versions just complicate the menus and slow down devices more than the useful features provided. As long as security is updated, I don't really see any need for Oreo in my phone.
It's nice to hear that you are also testing for new things in kernel, I might test them if provided as separate update.zip. However I assume most people using LOS 13 or your build are probably after stability.
Hold on right here...i need a minute to comprehend...so, basically, if i flash this, i will get the most stable android experience there is, it will most likely improve my battery live over N/O roms, i will have all the OOS 3.6.1 OP2 features working (including things such as slow motion, HDR and panorama), the latest security patch will be installed and the only drawback is that it will be a MM release? whats the catch ?

Lol, for the most part (and in my opinion) yes.
The catch is that if you like the latest cutting edge features, we don't have that built-in here. All we offer is a stable phone that has ALL of the features working in some form or another, without wondering what will break in the next build.
For the record, I still flash Oreo ROMS on MultiROM to stay aware, but I run this as a daily driver.

Instructions:
Before instaling, make sure you are running the latest Oreo firmware from the latest HTC Sense.
If you are encrypted but running an AOSP ROM then you're fine. If you come from Sense, take a full backup of all your data, boot into TWRP and format data (the option which requires you to type "yes") and clean flash accordingly. This is due to encryption changes. Do not skip this step or you will be locked out of your system by a password prompt.
If you are coming from any other ROM wiping /data is strongly recommended
Download the latest build and GApps (both links are below).
Reboot to TWRP.
Flash the latest build and GApps.
Reboot and enjoy (as much as currently possible)

Known Issues:
Verizon/Sprint are reportedly unstable.
Voice and Text over LTE doesn't work with every carrier.
Reporting bugs:
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred (please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing).
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg (do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot, a logcat after a reboot is useless).
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

what are the properties of this rom? and screenshoot?
Dirty flash over slim rom 8.1 works just fine. No setup wizard issues that way magisk + safety net fixes discussed in slim thread also working for me now.
Will update if issues with time but nothing to speak of immediately after flashing.
M.
Had a quick play with it. Seems alright so far. Good early release. Definitely a little laggier than slim.
Only issue I found was the buttons doesn't show 'recents' but shows menu. So you cannot set recent button at all.
Good work on getting it this far!

I have been on slim for a week and now on this obviously only for a few hours but I no stability problems on either (I assume LOS device bringup is based on what Flinny did to get slim running, so much is the same). Speed is good, battery is good, no crashes or reboots.
Safetynet can be fixed with magisk, aosp clock is not playing along (at least on slim) so just install google clock from app store, couple little things like that but nothing that can't be fixed by the user.
I've gone through and replaced a handful of the stock aosp apps with the google play store equivalents, bsg gcam v4 works fine... But that is all just personal preference and everything works either way.

Yes, you're correct, it is stated on the original post that this is based on Flinny's device tree however there are bugs on here that you won't find on Slim and there are bugs on Slim that you won't find here, source tree related stuff.
One example is button illumination settings are working correctly here and there's also an option to only illuminate buttons on keypress, so they behave like Sense. (the lights always-on annoy the hell out of me).
I've tested the stock Clock and found no issues on my end. I'm working on a workaround to fix SafetyNet without needing to flash an additional zip. I'm updating the "Known Issues" section as I make progress and as more bugs are found. Keep reporting them

It definitely has some hiccups here and there but the only app force closing itself on my end is YouTube, which I'm still unsure why. I need to seek the help of a more experienced developer, the only related thing I can spot in the logcats is errors with the vp8/9 decoder but I'm not sure if that's why and also unsure how to fix atm. I'm still investigating :/
I'll push an update very soon to fix some other things tho.
edit: Update is live. I think I fixed the YouTube FC. At least it works now on my side. Changelog is on the second post.

DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

This is Lineage 15.1, 15.1 is 8.1 for android
Just wanted to make a separate post about my experiences with this. @srfarias, you really knocked it out of the park with this here. It's very fast, fluid (if I disable animations in Developer Settings), and encryption actually works!!! Thanks for the stable Oreo ROM you made here

Thanks to u! :highfive:
Hey @srfarias, I'm not trying to beg for specific ETAs or anything but do you plan to do an update for this ROM, like for bringing it up to January or February security patches? If you aren't I'll jump over to another Oreo one out there, but if possible I want to avoid having to wipe and start over, but more so than that stay with your stuff here since it's proven to be extremely stable

Can I dirty flash to this from srfarias's Lineage 15.1? I don't know if different source trees used to make each one screws things up when it comes to that

I recommend that you do a clean installation, as there are many important changes.

One more thing, would you mind posting up a link to the sources/trees you used to make it?
EDIT: Just flashed it and everything's really smooth, but unfortunately it breaks mobile data on Verizon
Three short questions about this rom:
Stable, but how stable? Daily driver stable? For example: I'm using my harpia as a key for a car share program, bluetooth needs to work, else I can't even get anywhere.
Battery drain: there were a couple of custom ROMs that had a battery drain on 15.x and 16, is that fixed? What is the battery drain overnight?
Now that Official 16 has been released (hudson), that means the LineageOS team will deprecate 14.1. Will this build make it to Official Lineage 15.1? Thus Official support again?
Also: "VoLTE working", yay, truely yay if it works. Haven't had that working yet on any of my phones.

1.- The rom is completely stable everything works.
2.- No battery drainage
3.- I don't give official support, ask the developer @squid2 he takes care of that matter.

Changelog 02-23-2019
====================
- Security Patch February 2019
Download
Running this ROM since last Sunday.
Battery life is greatly improved compared to Lineage 14.1/7.1.1 (but could be biased, because I haven't done a full wipe since October 2017). And with the animations in developer options completely disabled it runs smooth as silk. Haven't found any issues, will report back when I do. Great job!
I couldn't find the circle battery indicator I had running before, has that one been purged from this rom? I find the circle indicator more accurate than a vertical battery bar, without having to have the percent-level showing.
I'm having trouble installing Magisk, recovery (twrp) is installed normally, but when I start the system, magisk manager (apk) is not installed and applications that use root access do not show the notification to allow.
Apart from this problem, the rom is more stable than the nougat.

Find the APK in Magisk-v*.zip/common/ and install it.
