Please post the zip file when anyone gets it optimised power consumption sounds good as so far the battery drain seems very high on this phone to me

Standby battery drain has significantly improved after the update.

OTA download for international version (AA)

The battery life has become better with this update. The other issues have also been resolved, like whatsapp hanging while sending pic etc

I wonder if we are to expect that the Indian variant is going to get updates first hand, with the Global and European versions lagging behind. I certainly hope it won't be so.

For me (EU Version) the update was released today.

Supposed nougat update?

So when I open the LG Bridge to update the g5 there is a version LGH85010DX I searched for the particular version on the internet but no news. The update is 2.78gb in size.So is it the supposed nougat update or just a regular update for bug fixes?
That size doesn't seem like a reg update

usually v10X (X for any letters) is Marshmallow,
when it's v20X, that's when you'll know it's Nougat, then v30X, Android O, it follows this pattern.
I had a G3, and it followed this pattern (v10 was KK, V20 was Lollipop, and V30 is Marshmallow)
Maybe this update is the final Marshmallow

I think it would be a safe bet that the G5 will have Nougat by the end of November/mid December. LG have been quick with updates recently and need to save the.. "imo" uneccessarily bad press and sales of the G5. Its a very good handset, tarnished by the random quality issues..

Will it work without applying radio update after flashing ROM on x720? Or radio update is must?
I flashed it. It is very smooth and looks nice. Is there a way to turn off the time in the status bar from acting like a power button? I keep pressing it each time I swipe down for notification lol.

Fast, good battery life, some enhancements from last Steve rom I think, just been few days using it, thanks you.

June 1st Security patch [EXTRACTED OTA]

Ok, so Motorola just released some days ago the so awaited June security patch. In the changelog, it does not mention any type of bug fix and in the time I've used it, I haven't noticed any magical change.
DOWNLOAD
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T7Y5LjqjYD2LCgOycuYBlyBziTa00YRZ/view?usp=drivesdk
You can install it via sideload, having the STOCK RECOVERY on your device. Once it's downloaded, move the file to wherever you have installed fastboot, then reboot the device in recovery and press the power button for seven seconds, then the volume up button and press both once again for a second. It should display the generic menu for installing an update, with the volume buttons go to "apply update with sideload" and select with power button.
After that, you have to open the CMD in the fastboot folder and type the following command:
Code:
adb sideload Blur_Version.27.21.26.albus.retail.en.US.zip
After all the stuff is done, you may reboot the device. First boot will take a little bit longer.
Oh, and btw,
YOU CANNOT HAVE ROOT AND/OR XPOSED FOR THIS PROCESS, OTHERWISE INSTALLATION WILL FAIL! Be sure to flash the complete Oreo firmware before the process.
ChEeRs :good:
Works fine. Haven't noticed any improvements yet. At least albus is on par with the latest security patch as Pixel series.
Can someone here please help me to root my z2 play on June security patch 2 ? Please

Hi,
What the hell is going on here...
For whom motorola releasing security patches?
We are really confused! We didnt see any new software until now? (Europe) Is this joke?
P.s. there is a new Oreo firmware (ops27.76-12-25) released by Motorola - we know ..but is this mean that it is only one? Or Motorola is preparing a new version for other regions for example europe? Somebody knows what's going on?

There's a new update for October.

Update 9.6.22.0 is out?

Hi,
Looks like update 9.6.22.0 is being rolled out via OTA. Few users on MIUI forum reported it. Some got 423 MB while some got 1.7GB update.
Anyone here got the update? If yes, are all the bugs/issues fixed?
Edit : If this thread is in the wrong group, please move to the relevant section. Thanks

But my phone updater app doesn't show me

Or server side issues

I got the notification for the update after connecting to WiFi.
i just got the update, In previous version i had turned off miui optimization after updating with 9.6.22 with miui optimization on it runs smoothly without any lag, Notch problem has been resolved for the people who turned their display size to small in accessability options
first i got the notification then i checked in updator app, no updates were available then i clicked several times on check for updates button then finally it showed me.
Hope it's a server issue and not a buggy update that got suspended.

and manually update the rom
Got notification that there's an update available. Opened the updater app but nothing there. Downloaded the 9.6.22 rom manually and did the update manually.

Can someone share changelog?
but they are pulling also this update?
looks like they are also retract back this update. I was about to download the ROM manually, I'm backing up first my picture folders, then when I am ready to download, open the ROM site at my PC browser, and found out it back to .14 as the latest stable update. Some user also reported received .17 update, but now no avails.
