Different versions, if you do not delete the original, restart, after brushing in is the original, can not clear data

This is what I got. I manually replaced the photo for this contact to see if it works. But it still asks me to crop the photo round and it shows like attached. Any idea how to get full screen? I did not clear data after deleting, maybe that is the reason? What will get deleted if I clear data from the twrp? Or clear data from where? I do not want to delete anything important.

I think it's only for rooted devices.
It would be nice to have a full screen picture on the caller ID, I hope someone can find a way to do it for the Android 10 version of the app.

Full screen caller ID on Play store. Works great on non-rooted S10 with Android 10.
recommended app has ads ( 5 advertisers ) and is not bug free.
please try to call your mailbox using button "1". if I press "1" for a few seconds, I get a very strong "beep".
you can stop it only if you stop running the app!
I have tried to report it to the programmer, but it seems to be not interesting enough to fix.
it only seems to be interesting to sale abo and to make more money!?
To get that option you can use True Phone app. Plus you'll get much more.

Ehm, I have been using it for more than a week on my Desire: first on the latest (original) Oxygen rom and now on the Siberia CM7r2 rom (xda-link).
Anyhow, I extracted the app with Es fileexplorer (I hope I don't break any rules).. here you go --> link

I installed Android 4.2.2 on HTC desire. Then i installed Instagram. Everytime i run Instagram and apply any changes on image file, the phone will freeze. I have to remove battery and re-power on the phone. Is this a known problem?

1.) USE RE Explorer
2.) DEL /system/app/Idlescreen_Base.odex THIS FILE!
3.) Download --> Idlescreen_Base.apk and replace in /system/app
4.) REBOOT YOUR PHONE
*JUST TEST IN 4.0.3 GLOBAL... OTHER ROM BACKUP THAT TWO FILE IS BETTER~

Just use 3 days only, No problem
Works good. Removes annoying sim card message but it messes up lock screen shortcuts. It puts default shortcuts back in and it won't allow you to change them. I'm on 4.03.605.2. You could ask the guy in China to fix it, maybe?

I deleted the file you stated to delete, then downloaded the new file and replaced the old one with it. I get a blank lock screen that DOESN'T WORK. :crying: i have to use the pull down bar to get back to my home screen

I'm running Nils' Business ICS 4.0.3 Sense 3.6 if that makes a difference.

Nils' Rom is deodexed, so there will not be any odex files in it.
Deodexing combines the apk with the associated odex file.

Shortcuts work but they cannot be changed.

Nice now if I could just get the 3G or 4G instead of this edge I might keep Simple Mobile for a spell
I'm using Nils 3.6 business Rom and this fix worked perfect for me, thx a lot. I just put bak on the one in system/apps and with root explorer I copied the modded one there and changed permissions to match and owners to 0 then reboot and it works perfect.

Hi all guys, yesterday i was giving a deep look at system apps until I've noticed that the Huawei compass app, that i always thought was a system app too, could be totally uninstalled from my phone and not only deactivated like other system apps. So, before removing it i had take a backup of it with ApkExtractorLite, since that it could come useful in future but not at the moment. The reason for me to open this thread is that with the APK that i had obtained from the extraction, I wasn't able to reinstall the app because when i try to launch it i get an error that says something that, due my distraction, i didn't screenshot or take note 'bout it before trash it. Now that i've got it back, i put it here for everyone.
*A little note
Dunno if this could be related to some protections that Huawei could have wrote in their apps, or if the package was just corrupted (even if i strongly believe that it couldn't be since that i use ApkExtractorLite from more than one year and it never missed a shot)
SOLVED! If you need it, download the apk that you can find in attachments. The first one is for EMUI 4, the 2nd one is for EMUI 5
*UPDATE* I've just noticed that after that i updated my device to EMUI 5, the compass app doesn't work anymore. Plus, i get an error that says "Compass is incompatible with this system version" so I'll update the thread specifying that it'll works only on EMUI 4.1. If someone will find a version that is compatible with EMUI 5 before me, if it exists, write here and I'll be glad to put it here for anyone that could find it useful.

Thanks for the tentative man, but the result was the same that I've got with my APK extracted and that i now remember, as you can see in attachments. I'm italian, so I'll translate for everyone else: "Analysis error - error meanwhile the package analysis"
And this is the reason that force me to think that there is some kind of protection by Huawei on their apps... If i have a 6X, and i try to install an app that was on 6X's stock rom, why the f*** the app installation should go wrong?

Because i don't am motivated enough to do that for a single app that dammit, there must be a way to take it back!

Sounds incompatible with your actual build, i got the same error as described in the previous page; but this is because every apk has its own signature, and if mine is made for BLN-L21C432, it could not work if installed on a BLL-L21, for example, so... what's your build number for extended? Mine is BLN-L21C432B36x. Never found an app that works on every model by the way

And that's why it won't work. Because Huawei surely made every apk compatible with its own original build and no one else. This means that you'll have to find someone who owns a BLN-L22 device and ask for the compass apk... mine will work only if on BLN-L21C432 (yeah, this truly sucks!)

Created the folder and placed the apk as advised (folder permissions set to 755, apk to 644) rebooted but can't launch the app.

Mate, tried the app (installed in /system/priv-app/HwCamera) but it crash. So I try to find the problem and i got that libHwPostCamera_jni.so in /vendor/lib64 is missing. So i extracted the missing file in stock emui rom and the camera is working now.
Btw, I used p10 plus. I attached the missing file.
If someone want to try, just copy to /vendor/lib64 and set to 644 permission

You'll need to free up some space in /system or resize system image
Those who are facing any problem while using any root browser, the best option will be Mixplorer, which is available in our XDA forum, no need to set permission, just copy the file, permission gets set automatically.

You gotta free space up. I deleted the apps that Google provides, Dialer, Contacts, Chrome and then installed the APK, and those I deleted I downloaded them from Play Store. Did everything with Mixplorer.
After installing camera quality is the same as stock rom? Both cameras working? (P10)

Mate, tried the app (installed in /system/priv-app/HwCamera) but it crash. So I try to find the problem and i got that libHwPostCamera_jni.so in /vendor/lib64 is missing. So i extracted the missing file in stock emui rom and the camera is working now.
Btw, I used p10 plus. I attached the missing file.
If someone want to try, just copy to /vendor/lib64 and set to 644 permission

Just want to say that using your file from p10 plus, it also worked on my mate 10 pro.
How's the quality? Does it compare with the stock ROM?

You're right, it is a tough choice.
I accidentally deleted my settings app on android 5.1 phone now can any one help me to recover my settings app ididnt backup any app and i fully remove system app by root explorer now pls anyone help me

Maybe there is a trash bin in the app, maybe you can try that. It might show deleted files.

after you download settings apk then install then use Titanium Backup to convert it to a system app then reboot but make sure to remove important files to OTG pen drive if you have OTG support
