USB debugging 10 minute limit - OPPO Reno 10x Zoom Questions & Answers

Hi guys. Does anyone know way around that limitation? Bluetooth controllers like Flydigi Wasp 2 stop working after 10 minutes since debugging turns off because it doesn't detect any file transfer I guess. You have to exit the game, stop service(control app) restart USB debugging, start service. I've never seen that on any phone before. Just got OPPO few days ago and am seriously considering returning it because of this issue.
Can anyone with Android 10 installed confirm if it's the same in new OS version please.

USB device not recognized

I did a search and found that no one has posted this problem on this forum - I'm the only one ??
My prime use to hooked up with my PC with no problems. At some point recently (I'm thinking the recent ICS update) my PC & Prime had a parting of ways. Now I plug in the Prime and get 'USB device not recognized'.
Downloaded and ran Asus Sync hoping that a driver vanished but no luck.
I'm running Windows 7 (64 bit). Has anyone else noticed the same problem and if so - how did you fix it ?
Thanks
I have three computers, and none of them even recognize my prime anymore, not even in Device Manager. This started after I got it back from RMA.
I, myself, am not particularly concerned about it, since I'm just waiting for the Infinity to come out; the Prime I will just pass on to a family member. If the Infinity was going to be released in the far flung future, I'd send it back.

Did you try this for the Prime ? I did not see the Prime on the supported list.
Thanks
I Have the problem as well...thought it was the cable but half happy to see it probably isnt
hey everyone, and I'm so happy to see this thread, but have you guys had similar issues to Mines?
Hello Everyone, I'll try to short and to the point. I've been searching xda/google/androidcentral on and off since maybe early Februrary and still nothing, maybe someone has some awesome insight.
So my computer won't detect my TP anymore for file transfer. It did maybe the first month or so though.
Here's what I've tried so far, with no luck.
- Different Computers - Different Cables - New Asus Brand OEM USB Cable - Aftermarket USB Cable - Different USB Ports (Front and Back of Computer) - USB Debugging Mode - Uninstalled Drivers on my PC to try and get table to re-install it. - Factory Reset (multiple times with and without auto-backup) - Connecting From KeyboardDock to Computer
I convinced my cousin to buy a TP and Dock the other week so I also got to try some extra stuff.
- I plugged His TP with His USB cable to His PC and it connected fine.
- I plugged His TP with His USB cable to MY PC and it connected fine.
- I plugged MY TP with His USB cable to His PC and it wouldn't detect.
- I plugged MY TP with His USB cable to MY PC and it wouldn't detect.
I also tried his TP with my USB cables (both oem and aftermarket) on my PC and it connected fine.
Here's Some additional Info, that may be helpful.
I was previously able to connect to my HDMI ports on my TV via micro HDMI, but that does not work anymore either.
I've seen a few people mention serial numbers, so here's some Info, not sure if it's the correct info.
My TP - TF201-B1-CG - S/N starts with a "B" His TP - TF201-B1-GR - S/N starts with a "C"
I thank you all for your time and any insight is much appreciated.
Called ASUS support - I'm the first that they have ever heard that problem. They suggested a factory reset but first I must back the data up. Never done a factory reset, I hope Voodoo will keep the root.
When I finally try it - I'll let you know what happens.
Cool thanks NewbieKeepItSimple, I hope we get this sorted ou!
Hey everyone, I have some more interesting info regarding the USB issue. I didn't want to suspect this as a problem, but yea it looks like it may be an actual bad port on the TFP itself.
My reasoning is that I got my free GPS dongle in the mail today and it won't work. Anyone else test this yet?
Another Question, as far as RMAs go, do we HAVE to call in? Anyone know for sure? I know there's forums, but trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

But you guys are charging fine? Just not connecting to the PC's? Have you had a good look at the connectors both on the cable and the Prime, nothing obvious? You all have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers right? Or maybe tried the universal naked driver utility?

Yep, charges fine. I couldn't see anything obviously wrong with cables and connectors.
As far as trying universal naked driver, I'm pretty sure drivers aren't the issue since I tried a whole different TFP with the same computers and cables (stated above) and it connected and installed the drivers correctly.

My Prime was sync'd at work with my contacts and I put movies on from my home PC. Now neither PC can communicate with the Prime.
There is somethings with the Prime and USB ports that seem a little goofy. I have a USB memory on my keychain that I use for my work files. One of the things I wanted to do with the Prime is access and work on my files during business trips. The work USB memory is 4GB Fat 32 but the Prime can't see it even though all other computers can see it. Plug in an older 2GB memory - the Prime can see it. Plug in my Apple iPhone - the Prime can see it. Plug in some other USB memories no problem but my work USB is invisible.
I really can't see any reason for the Prime to suddenly become invisible to computers but I will try the factory reset once I get my memory 64GB SDcard next week.

that's so frustrating. factors reset didn't work for me but I'm wishing luck to you.
Ok.. something to try before going directly to wiping your Prime...
First, try plugging it into a different USB port. This will cause the PC to try and load a new driver.
If that fails, click Start, right click on Computer and select Manage. Look for an entry called "Portable Devices" and under that "Transformer Prime TF201".
If you don't have that at all, then the system has failed to identify the device entirely.. try it with another PC (take it to a Best Buy and plug it in.. ). If it fails there, then something has changed in your Prime. If you've flashed the ROM, it's possible that's the problem.
If you DO see the entry, but the PC isn't recognising it - right click on the entry for the Prime and select 'Uninstall'. On the dialogue box that pops up, check "Delete the driver software for this device" and let it do its thing.
Unplug the Prime, then plug it back in. It should download a new driver for the Prime. Hopefully this will fix the problem.
I've never heard of an Android device's ADB USB port failing - it's entirely possible of course - but we have five here.. which is pretty amazing.

I'm not holding out much hope either but who knows. The ASUS is rooted but I haven't flashed anything. Another tack I tried is using the just the tablet then keyboard connection but both give the same results.
If I'm connecting to two different spots that on the Prime (dock/Tablet) and there are two different interfacing chip sets involved. Maybe it is a software bug that is screwing up how the Prime addresses the USB (protocol).

hmm even if it was 2 different chip sets it'd still have to go through the main one. it'd be great if it was software based issue

MacBook Pro doesn't find my Xperia S (anymore)

Hi all,
Until a few days ago, even with ICS installed, is was possible for me to connect my phone(Xperia S) on my MacBook Pro and browser trough my phone, using Bridge for Mac(BfM). But now my Mac can't find my phone anymore.
Now, when I connect my phone, BfM scans for a device but it can't find it, even when while keeping it connected for 15 minutes it still doesn't do a thing.
I already tried to use/not use USB-debugging but it didn't help. Android File Transfer did not work for me either. I already restarted my phone, my computer, BfM, ATF and re-connected my phone through my mini-USB. All without any result.
When I have my phone connected, BfM is saying: Detecting phone... and the (some sort of icon) is spinning. When I check my notifications in my Xperia S it says: Internal memory connected Internal memory is connected with the PC
I run ICS on my Xperia S. It is not rooted or flashed in any other way. So just retail.
Sorry for my bad English. I am Dutch so some terms/phrases may not be the same.
I hope someone can help me!
Thanks in advance!
Regards

I know that Apple product may have some problems concerning compatibility and such. But there must be an other way to fix this right? Before it has worked, so why it doesn't do now?
I don't feel like using my phone in Windows so I need reboot and such.. Must be a solution I think.
Airdroid is the answer
Just install Airdroid on your Xperia S.
Makes file transfers easy as pie!!
And it's compatible with ANY browser too!!

Looks good on first look! I will instal, try it later and will let you know.
But how about updates? Bridge for Mac provides these and with AirDroid(from which I saw) it doesn't do updates. Am I right? So what about this..
Thanks anyway!
Did you update to Bridge 3.0? Also when I plug my phone in I have Bridge closed. Unlock the phone then open bridge. Seems to work pretty good that way. Sometimes I still have to disconnect and reconnect a couple times.

OMG, that worked! :good:
Bridge for Mac didn't detect a update so I manually updated it to 3.0 through their site. And BAM, is works now!
Super thank you. If I could double-thank I would hit it haha
Still kind a strange that before it worked and suddenly it did not..

[Q] (Auto-) Suspend USB-HDD

Hello everyone!
I have a usb HDD connected to one of these android HDMI sticks (MK808, to be precise)
The drive itself works wonderfully, I just noticed that it never sleeps.
So there's always some random access going on in the background (mediaserver?) and/or android just does not spin down usb drives.
I have no idea what android is even doing on the HDD all the time. If it's the mediaserver, can it be configured to ignore usb devices? .nomedia files don't seem to help as I already had one in the drive's root when I noticed the issue
I'd love to get some help on how to solve this problem.
edit: sorry, I did not notice the sticky -.- If a mod could move this to Q&A, I'd be thankful
Bump. Any help?
Noone?
Has noone ever used Android for a NAS and experienced these problems?

Did you have any luck with this, because I am facing the exact same problem but no luck so far
No, sorry. I gave up a while later
Exhuming this thread: I face the same issue. The USB HDD never sleeps with android standby. Apparently it's a dual boot device. Running windows the HDD sleeps perfectly after a while of inactivity. Hence the hardware is not the issue. How to convince android to let the drive sleep?

[Q] HP Stream 7 and Android

I'm getting a new HP Stream 7 (great price!) and wondered if anything regarding Android on it has happened? I've Googled it and not much comes up. There are also a few posts on here that haven't gotten much response but as it was over a month ago it was posted and it's a new device, has anyone gotten anywhere with it?

I have gotten as far as getting a boot animation and that's it. I don't know what the problem is. I am trying the 4.4.2 from that Intel project. I have done everything needed, but just can't get the full install. Something is stopping it and I have yet to figure it out. Did get Win 10 preview onto it though, and that takes care of the bitlocker problem. I am about ready to trash the entire drive and see if I can't do it that way. And as always, make a recovery backup before anything else. Also have a OTG and powered 4 port USB hub, wired keyboard and mouse ready, you will need it all.
Android on HP Stream 7
I've been trying to put Android on the HP Stream 7, Windows 8.1. Cheatman's Magic Stick got the furthest, with Android actually coming up, but then it would always shortly freeze at a random time. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that the processor is x64 not x86? I always got two error messages initially during bootup:
ioremap error for 0x3b7d2000-0x3b7d3000, requested 0x2, got 0x0
/home/dds/build/android-x86-new/kernel/drivers/rtc/hctosys.c: unace (rtc0)
Booting would continue but the process would eventually freeze, even after the various Google Apps were updated.
The Intel Project images all seem to be for a different platform; I wasn't able to get the images to be recognized and booted, even the 64-bit ones. The Stream 7 is not an expensive piece of hardware, but it would be fun to have Android running on it.

Trouble Restoring to Stock Nougat from CM 13.0

I'm trying to restore a Nexus 9 (flounder, WiFi) to stock Nougat from CM 13.0-20160924-NIGHTLY-flounder. Problem is, my PC won't detect the device.
I have another Nexus 9, which is running Nougat 7.1.1 and it is neatly detected by the PC as Nexus 9.
I've looked through the developer options and made sure the settings are the same on both devices. I've flipped through the various connection types while connected (charging, media, photo).
I'd appreciate some help unf#cking this situation.

I saw someone else with that same problem. Turned out to be the USB port. If it turns out to be that, it's an easy repair. Just change the USB daughter board. Couple screws and couple ribbon cables. Takes like 20 minutes, and they're like $12 on eBay.
Explore software solutions first of course. Maybe uninstall and reinstall drivers. Or even try wugs toolkit.
Thanks for the suggestion. Indeed, I read a similar thread with the same solution. A USB board should be on its way from China in the next few days. I was considering buying one anyway as the charging performance has been erratic at best for a while, which might be due to the same basic trouble with the hardware.
I'll update when the replacement board is in and installed in a couple of weeks.

I changed mine too (also from China). Mine was affecting otg connection. Fixed it right up, took about 20 minutes. I'm no pro either, only other hardware repair I've done is the screen on my n7 (2013).
Replacing the USB board fixed the problem.
