Loading Phone And Messages Apps on a Verizon tab - Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I've been trying to use official samsung apps to do this but can't find the apk anywhere or find anyone whose done it. Verizon wants me to use their horrible messages+ app.

IIRC Verizon disabled the use of Samsung native messaging/phone apps on the LTE Tab S6 so they could use their own garbage. Hate that Verizon does this.
Possible workaround...use Google Messages app on your phone and the Message from Web feature to open via Chrome on the tab? I haven't tried this as I use Textra for messaging, however I suppose it should work...may need to turn on desktop version for the site to function correctly. Then just create a homescreen shortcut to the Messages site. Bonus: you get RCS support with other Google Messages users (though I'm not sure if/how this works via web...).

This is what I had to do, when you open the messages on the browser, look for an option to install the "browser extension" which is pretty much like an app. It's the way I use and works great, however, it does mirror what's in the phone so your phone must be on and online

Trying to figure this out myself. Can't get Textra or the stock Samsung Messages app onto the Verizon Tab S6.
Verizon has it gimped pretty bad.

I wonder if you pay off the device in full and contact them to unlock, would that possibly work? I know Verizon is notorious for doing stuff like that.

Verizon blocks the feature itself from their devices because they want to push users to use their crap Messages+ app...

You need to use Google's messages or Verizon's message+ for texting... Google's offering is a lot better but Messages+ allows for phone calls on the tab...
If you use Google Messages (it is what I use), you'll need to do mobile web and open the browser on the tablet, there will be a button by the address bar to download the "app" and it will from that point you'll have the messages app installed on your tablet.
Phone calls, you need to install call and text on other devices version 2.1.00.48 (ill check later to make sure thats the version). Download it from APK Mirror

I downloaded this version and not to be daft, but it's unclear to me if this needs to be installed on the phone, the tablet, or both. I am able to open it on the tablet but it fails to install.
Also, I have been messing with Message+ (as a Verizon user) for 3 days now, not liking it one bit. I did as you suggested with Google Messages and the shortcut, but as an FYI, I was using this shortcut/install app on my Windows 10 laptop already, so for myself, I have to confirm each time I try to open it for the first time on the other device. Both are using a web interface so it asks me to confirm that I want to receive messages from here...here being the tablet, or if I move back to the computer, then the computer. I'm not saying this well...basically you can't have Google Messages "open" in multiple locations via this web shortcut.
WHY does Verizon insist on being such jerks about this stuff. They don't even support their windows Message+ app anymore. So it's not even cross platform, yet they are strong arming you into using it as your primary texting app if you want access on a tablet. This is wrong on so many levels. And I haven't had any success with Your Phone, either. I had given up and resorted to using Message+ but I lost my ability to easily copy and paste pictures and bitmojis into my messages.
So long winded...but wanted to provide more information in case it might help someone else, and to inquire a bit on the app that was referenced. I downloaded the version you posted and it will install on the phone but not the tablet.

I got Call and Text on Other Devices installed on my note8 and preinstalled on my SM-P200 sammy tablet, but on my tablet it doesn't have the phone or messages app from samsung. Can anyone help?

TouchWiz email read all solution????

If this post is in the wrong place go ahead and move it.
Does anyone know how to select all emails and apply read all - please tell me Samsung with all its might made this a feature available in the most powerful phone on the planet!!!
Any ideas???
Nope.... The only way you will have this is by either using the server's web mail service or a third-party App like K9.

[Q] Can someone help me find an email client with these basic features please?

I've been on Android about 6 months now. First I had a Galaxy Note & now I have a Galaxy Note 2. In that time I've tried around 30 email clients (some free & some paid versions) but I've still not some across a client that can offer me some (what I consider) very simple features.
What I'd like the client to do is:
1. Be able to resize within the email view so I can see the whole email (or at least the width of it if the mail is longer than one page length). This is such a simple thing but the only one I've found that does this is the official Hotmail client but that brings with it a whole load of other issues... Even the Gmail client doesn't let you do this & you're forced to scroll around the screen trying to put together a virtual jigsaw puzzle in your head of what the whole email should look like.
2. Be able to set an option in the settings to always allow images. Again a simple feature. Something similar to the Gmail app would also be OK where you set it for each sender separately.
3. Always display as HTML.
4. Push notifications that display the message title/sender in the notification.
Hopefully someone knows of such a client but I haven't found one yet.
Thanks for your help people.

Have you tried Enhanced Email? It does all these things that you're looking for.

Thanks. I downloaded Enhanced Email from the play store. It does most of the stuff but doesn't let you know the source or title of the incoming mail. Just tells you that you have new mail.
Also having some problems with formatting emails in mobile view.
It's probably the best I've tried though.
You probably won't find an email client that tells you the sender and title because usually people receive multiple emails at a time from various senders.
And try K 9 mail
Sent from my DROID2 using xda premium
Having used enhanced email for a few days I can say that it's definitely not up to use full time. When ever I reboot my phone it deletes my Hotmail account, it doesn't notify properly, has no push for Gmail, can't format html into mobile view effectively & has a poor gui. Very expensive for why it does.
I have tried K9 before & unless it's been updated recently there isn't an option to resize an email so that the while mail is displayed at once is there?

What do you mean resize your email? You can pinch to zoom in it though, I used it a week or so ago

Yes, you can pinch to zoom but I'd like to display the whole email on screen at once & then decide which part of the email I'd like to zoom into (if any). K9 & most other Android clients don't allow this. The only app that I've found that can do this at all is the official Hotmail app but the rest of the app is so basic its shocking. It doesn't allow you to always show images & on my current phone its a 3 click process to show images (in every mail you view). It also truncates all mails to a maximum of 100kb do anything over this takes a further 3 clicks to display properly. Very poor.
Try Aquamail. I absolutely love it, and it has all these features. Their mobile view is the main reason I use it. Make sure you pick up the latest beta version 4 here: www.aqua-mail.com/?page_id=217
The mobile view used to be incorporated into the appstore version. The developer took it out temporarily, and it is only in the latest beta.

Which app for manage client?

Hi,
a friend of mine bought a few days ago a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" to manage his clients (he's a doctor).
He started to build his contact library (he doesn't have an android phone and no gmail contacts) adding name, surname, eventually mail and phone number and in the "Note" field he wrote all the note he'd taken. BUT this field has a characters' limit, and he can't add even a letter anymore (for the most visited client of course).
I tried to search for an app for this purpose but I can't find anything. I don't even search ONLY an app, it can be enough another method using the in-build feature of the tablet and android.
I searched for some CRM app, but most of them are ugly (since it's not a power user the more simple and clean is the better) and not optimized for a tablet. I found Insightly, but it's only online, and if he does'nt have a wifi network around he can't, not only record the new data, but also access to the old ones! They MUST be always available.
I thought about a simple folder + text file in G Drive, but these are only online too. Dropbox, too.
If it can interact with the G Mail contacts (the Note field is very useful at this) it would be wonderful, otherwise he'll build up his library with his contacts.
How can I do to have these data always on the tablet (cloud sync is not absolutely necessary)??? Any idea for an app or an alternative method?
Thanks!
nobody??
He bought a tablet to use for work, without any idea on how he would use it for work or if it would even do what he wanted? If he throws money around like that, why not recommend him to get an app written for his company and it's needs. There are many app developers who design and write custom apps for clients.

How to send and receive SMS from a computer (Linux + Firefox)?

Hi,
First of all, I am sorry if this question has already been answered but I couldn't find what I was looking for in Google, neither here, in the forums.
I am looking for an app / way to manage my SMS from my desktop computer. Phone and desktop are on the same WIFI network (if it helps).
I have tried Pushbullet, MightyText, Join, etc.
AFAIK, MightyText was the best solution, but at some point it stopped working had issues of telling me on the computer the SMS was sent, while it was not phone side...
Join on the over side, looks promising, however using it in Firefox (instead of Chrome), removes such convenient features such as getting notifications of new messages directly on my computer screen, moreover, it doesn't seem to recognize (ie. import / export) the messages I am sending from Signal (which is my main SMS app).
Ideally, I am looking for a way to manage my text message on my desktop running Linux and Firefox, with notifications ! Be it a standalone app, command line app, or even a linux friendly website (or in the worst case, a firefox extension).
Thanks a lot for your input.
Try Yappy. I was fedup with MightyText, MySMS and AirDroid. Yappy seems to do what I want.
Thanks a lot for your answer. Will give it a try.

US998 LG email client

Before anyone makes any suggestions to use some other random email client the answer is, I cannot
My company is only set up to use the LG, Samsung, HTC and touchdown email clients. Anything else costs money to service and they arent going to provide those services when they give you the option to use a company owned iPhone.
So, I need to find a way to make my V30 use the LG email app. I have installed the APK and it doesn't work. I dont know what else I might need to get it go work.
Its asking for phone permissions in the app, but under permissions phone isnt an option.

I'm curious as to what app you installed. I was surprised my V30+ didn't come with a mail app.
And I didn't find any LG specific mail app. Did your company provide it?
Also surprised you can't use the Google mail app.
As for your permissions, maybe look under General>Accounts & Sync?
The unlocked versions of the LG Phones (I'm finding posts dating back to G3) dont come with the email app.
The app I downloaded was from APK Mirror and it is marked as thr LG app.
Nothing but the email apps I mentioned will work with our servers. Its just the way they have Airwatch servers configured here. Each additional app requires a license to use. Touchdown is crap and now going out of support, so I have to do something before June.
General Accounts and sync doesnt do anything in this regards. It just links an account to an app. In this case thats not an option, since the app wont let me do anything.
My Airwatch profile executes and creates the config, but when it passes me to the app to provide my credentials it fails with this permissions error.
US998 does not come with stock email app.
I purchased Nine. it works great.
This is not a solution tho..

When you go to Apps click on the 3 dots in upper right corner and choose configure apps. Click on App permissions at the top and scoll down to Phone.
Is you LG Email app in that list?
Update: I downloaded the latest version from APK Mirror and had the same problems you are reporting. I unistalled it and dowloaded the version 6.70.35. This version works normally on my V30+.
Hope this helps.
The 6.70.35 version said it appears to be corrupt. Can you send me a copy of it?
The app thing you mention doesn't work either. Its just not in there.
Never mind. It installed this time.
It doesnt give me the phone permissions error, but doeant give me my email and crashes conatantly. I also cant add my hotmail there either. Its very strange.
Well.. Thats that. I am processing the return and ordered a mint condition used verizon model. Sucks, but need work email and calendar access.
Thanks for the replies. I spent all last night working on it to no avail.
