How to enter engineering mode in XT - Realme XT Questions & Answers

I tried using *#*#4636#*#* but it does not work. Does anybody know how to enter engineering mode? Thank you very much in advance.

Try *#899#

Thank you very much. That did work. Now done testing screen. I am now only missing forcing 4g/lte only. By any chance, do you know how?

I haven't found the code yet but just search for an app called 4g switcher on google play. It does the trick.

Try

Retail Demo App...?

Hoping you guys can help me out..
My Xperia Tablet Z upon being connected to a charger or USB cable seems to launch this retail demo.
This resets the home screens and keeps playing a xperia Z video over and over. I've been fraffing around trying to remove/stop it without any luck.
I've been reading about a service menu dialer and a code, but can't seem to access it?
Thanks in advance!

Try checking out the "Smart Connect" Application. It has predefined actions for various events. You may be able to disable this action this way.

Cheers for that, though no luck??
Hmm odd enough. Can you simply try going into : Settings-> Backup & reset, and then performing a "Factory data Reset?"

Use this tutorial to access the service menu:
But instead of accessing the service menu, type the following code to try to deactivate it.

Try this trick:http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-htc-one/311993-any-way-bypass-activation-screen-use-phone-wi-fi-only.html
Apparently you gotta touch the four corners on the select language screen. Works on AOSP, might not work on skinned Android versions.

What happens when you press home button??
Or does your phone have a search button? Maybe you can access Google Now?

take sim card out, then bypass activation screen. go through Setup Wizard skipping/opting out of everything via Next/Skip/No. at end of setup, you will see Home screen. from there you can run apps, etc.
i had the sim card installed still. when i bypassed the activation screen, i only had access to Settings on the phone.
Glad you solved it.:good:

Will this work? (CVE-2013-3666)

I can't find anything that says this was patched, here's the original thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2338327
The only problem I can find is that the hidden menu doesn't display the WLAN Test to get this to work. Can someone please help?

I looked around and saw that there was NOTHING on a patch, so it could? Though I doubt it with MM (for some reason).
I have the Verizon G5 and I've been trying to pull up the hidden menu but it just won't go. RIP.

Yeah there's no official patch. Absolutely nothing is working on getting the hidden menu... I've been trying for hours
Its patched i guess.. They've completely removed the wLan Test activity and service from the menu..
Pretty much a "just remove tht sheeit!!" patch
Sent from my LG-H950 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Not sure if this is the same hidden menu, but tasker lists 4 apps with that name. None of them seem to launch, though.

Setting up Allo as search assistant

Tried setting up Allo to kind of try it out on my current device (ZF2 551ML running Marshmallo CM13), and for some reason Google doesn't recognize it as a search assistant.
Anyone knows a way of forcing it to be recognized as a search assistant so it could work as it does on Nougat? That is to get straight to the Assistant chat from a long-press of the home button.
Thanks

Possibly edit the build.prop to trick into thinking you have a different phone. Make sure you do a Nandroid backup first.

Tried that, followed some guide to think the phone is a Pixel, looks that way in the settings but nothing more sadly.
Any way to somehow make it work from the CM long-press action? Because it only has several options, but not to open a specific app or something like that.

Has anyone been able to get the stock Android Dialer installed?

Google Play store says it's not compatible; I've tried various APKs and when I go to install they also say incompatible.
That sucks. What might be the cause? I know the S8 can install it.
I'm also having the same issue... The LG phone app is horrendous

This is the dialer I'm using...https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...-7-0-140861421-nonnexus-android-apk-download/
When you go to the link, scroll down to "Download APK". Don't install a newer version, because it probably won't work. Or if you do and it does work, let me know.
It's the stock Google dialer, and everything works. I've used it on several phones lately. When you install it, make sure and go to your settings menu, then apps, then Configure apps, and then set the new dialer to be your default phone app. Easy as pie

As per the notes on the thread, this older version is the only one that fully works on Non-Nexus devices. The newer patched versions may install but are often buggy and lack the necessary framework for spam call rejection and other features.
oh wow...i didn't realize the dialer required framework and such to use those features. kind of second guessing my ordering of the V30 now...
Perhaps this

Does your dialer have the voicemail tab? I'm on T-Mobile and have to use T-Mobile's Visual Voicemail app on my unlocked phone. I couldn't get the voicemail tab to show up and there was nothing in the settings that could activate it. I tried a SIM card pulling trick I saw on Reddit but that didn't do it either. Thanks!

I can check when I get home tonight. I’m using my iPhone right now. I’ll let you know later.
Edit...I'm home now and looking at my V30 with the Google dialer, and I don't see a voicemail tab anywhere.
How did you enable call screen or dialing screen to stock one? On my v30 only the dialer screen showsup and the calling screen is LG one.

You have to ensure that the Google Phone app is actually properly set as your default Dialer/Phone app. I had a similar problem until I did that. Under settings, go to apps and then click on "Configure apps" under the three dot overflow menu on the top right. Make sure the correct app is listed under "Phone app".
