Solution for FOD on Custom Rom - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Guides, News, & D

Hi everyone,
I am not that expert to provide you this kind of solution but this trick somehow worked for me. Earlier my FOD was very poor on custom rom's then i followed following procedure and now 9/10 my FOD is correctly working.
Do not register your Finger print while setting up a new rom
set up your custom rom and then go to security
now when you enroll your finger for the 1st time increase your device brightness to the maximum level
repeat the first step for same finger except this time decrease your device brightness to lowest level.
Please follow this method and let me know whether this method work for you or not.
Mandyady

Thank you, this method works fine for me on MIUI 11!
I'll try later on custom rom.

It works very fine. Thanks you.

Tried with LOS 17, absolutely amazing! It would never work before for me, but scanning it a maximum brightness makes it 9/10. This needs to be known more widely, great find!

Revelation! Thanks

Great tricks.. Gg

It seems promising!!
Let's we look the stability.
Thanks dude!
UPDATE:
I'm really sorry bro, your tricks not stable.

Legend. Faster and much more accurate.

thanks, so far so good. lets see if it is consistent!

[MOD] Increase FPS 5/12/2015

REQUIREMENTS.
MUST BE ROOTED WITH RECOVERY.
HAVE INIT.D SUPPORT for method 1.
HAVE TERMINAL EMULATOR for method 2.
NOTE: This may work for all android devices but is only tested on a LG D851. The mod will install on all devices but may give unwanted results. If it works let us know.
GENERAL DISCLAIMER.
XDA and I are NOT responsible if anything wrong happens to your device by using this mod. Always make sure you have a backup ready if needed.
ABOUT THIS MOD.
Here is a very simple mod that I wanted to share. This is what has been labeled in the past as the build property to remove a FPS cap on all android devices. This doesn't actually do that but you will see an increase in frames per second by adjusting the EGL swap interval. Unfortunately, this property has always had big issues with visual artifacts that made it useless to use.
I found it frustrating that we could obtain such a high FPS but plagued with issues. So I spent some time and found a new value. One that could actually work on all android devices. Instead of 1 for stock or 0 for modified. Here is the new value...
debug.egl.swapinterval=-60
A general description...
https://www.khronos.org/registry/egl/sdk/docs/man/html/eglSwapInterval.xhtml
While other negative values may work, -60 brought the most bang for the buck when it came to benchmarks. I am truly excited about finding a way to make it work and although it's just a new value, I would appreciate if you could give me credit if using this property as it is the first time it will actually work the way we want it. This value didn't just fall from the sky. Certainly no need to ask for any permissions.
WAYS TO USE THIS MOD.
I figured many people would at least like to try this out so I made it as easy as possible for newer and more advanced users. The mod is actually really easy to apply. Simply add it to your build.prop file and reboot or use one of methods below.
METHOD 1.
Use the proper flashable zip to install into init.d so the mod is ready directly after a reboot.
METHOD 2. (recommended)
Use the proper flashable zip to install into /system/xbin and call upon it when needed and disable it when not needed.
INSTALLATION.
Method 1
version 1.1
1. Download https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952603390
2. Flash in recovery.
3. Reboot.
METHOD 2.(recommended)
version 1
1. Downloadhttps://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952602432
2. Flash in recovery.
3. After you reboot open Terminal Emulator and type the following without the quotes.
4. Type "su" and press the enter key.
5. Type "unlockfps" and press enter. This will activate the property for higher fps.
To deactivate type "lockfps"
NOTE: You may need to toggle your screen off/on to fully activate the mod using method 2.
You will also need to activate the mod again after a reboot. The setting won't survive a reboot with method 2.
UNINSTALL
METHOD 1.
version 1.1
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952603391
Version 1 (depreciated)
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952602181
METHOD 2.
version 1
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952602429
CHANGELOG
Method 1 version 1.1- Fixed permissions.
I have had people tell me battery life is better and some say it's worse. You be the judge and let us know.
Happy Flashing!
These zips will flash on any device, so If you have something other than an LG G3 you can try it. If you choose to try I definitely suggest using method 2. This way if you run into trouble all you need to do is reboot and the mod is disabled.
PLEASE!
IF YOU TRY THIS MOD ON ANOTHER DEVICE LET US KNOW HOW IT WORKS!!
So far I have positive reports for Samsung and Sony devices.
thanks bro. gonna try it on my vs985
Installed on my D855 and it improves animation speed an in overall system fluidness. I'm using it in combination with LSpeed tweak and working perfect, for battery impact, if there will be one, will see after daily use. Thanks for this my phone is flaying, so to speak.

Yea. I thought it was only going to work in games and such but it seems to make everything a little quicker and smoother. Scrolling etc... I wasn't expecting that.
after installing unlockfps antutu score not bad, using darkknight rom.
getting around 42+++ on antutu as well. & yes, everything seem much snappier, considering i got shedloads of listview, ime & toast animations (xuimod/xposed, ftw!).
good example is gosms. starting the app uncached is almost instantaneous. then when i go to a long thread (conversations w/ wifey, go figure) i could really say that load time is quicker than before the mod. close to 1 batt cycle & i don't notice any unusual drain.
tried it on my T700 as well. i'm getting the same results, though antutu scores don't agree. didn't explode so far. btw, does enabling hw/gpu acceleration negate this? or is it the other way around?

I have "force gpu rendering" enabled. To boost 2d rendering but that's it as far as dev options.
If your talking build properties then I really don't know for sure.
Hey,
I use Methode 1 on newest BlizzPop at D855.
For First Time i can say...... Wow amazing. The Rom is very very fast with this Mod. No lags. Smooth and Fluid.
Now i hope the Battery hold.
Test right Now @ work.
Thx for your great Mod, work on it and your Time.

For me it seems improve phone and graphics in general, for games I don't know because I don't play games on it. So far didn't notice any heating up or any other side affect from this only improvements and also didn't notice any battery drain.
Working so far
Working great so far ! i also combined this with the CTT mod and the combination is killer so smooth the fastest experience ever!
lg G3 D850 AT&T

This mod is amazing! the before and after is huge. My phone already felt really fluid but after installing this is flies--apps open instantly and animations are like butter.
Thank you so much for sharing this with the community. Everyone needs to flash this because the difference it makes is amazing.
NVM!
I combined method 1 with Velocity set to 4300 and a few other tweaks to build.prop, and made this phone run like butter. Only place where I see stutter is on Facebook, but is better than before the mod.
Sent from my Ice Cold D850
Thx alot razz
I have d855 and tried it, method 1 didnt give me any change in antutu benchmark so i tried method 2 and benchmark gave 3000 points more
Both tests after reboot
Why was it locked in the first place?
is this different from the one found in hidden menu? the dynamic lcd refresh on/off - enable 60fps
Sorry for the stupid question... but do i need to add (after i flashed and activated (method2) ) "debug.egl.swapinterval -60" to build.prop ?

It wasn't. This mod is to adjust a swap interval. Not actually unlock anything.

You don't need to add anything permanent to the build.prop file. These methods will do it on the fly for you.

[APP] HisiColorChanger

Do you feel that your screen isn't really calibrated? Maybe too blueish? Well, those days are gone because I bring you HisiColorChanger!!111
I have developed this app as an answer to the people who were unhappy with the screen colors. It lets you fine tune the color temperature (by now), writing the values directly to the kernel, and allows you to save them for the next boot.
The app is in the testing phase so it doesn't have all the features that you'd expect, but I want to see if you find it useful or if it's just a waste of time.

Have fun!

Yes.
This is EXTREMELY useful for us subset of users who need better color accuracy with our H8/P9, especially when it's my mobile emergency darkroom.
Please do develop the app further, maybe include +- buttons, a direct numerical input box and the ability to save/load presets? As of now I'm already VERY happy I can tune the H8 to be about as accurate as my old Note 3, as that was one of my biggest pet peeves with the H8.
BTW, it never did save its values to the kernel in my L19, even during MM and now on Nougat. After boot I always needed to restart the app to get the colour changes working. Any idea why?

[Discontinued]Pixel Experience P[UNOFFICIAL][14.12.2018][S9/S9+/N9

Samsung Pixel Experience PBy CodeFox & OpenSauce9810
What is this?
This is a Semi Generic System Image. That means it's a generic system image that's been optimised as much as possible for our Samsung Devices. This is what differentiates this rom from the one you can find in the Project Treble Forum. I also plan to provide regular updates and improvements very frequently. I'm aiming for weekly if not more.
Why not Rainbow_Dash?
We're a part of the same team and he's taking a break from developing for the moment, so I'm going to do my best to support you with regular updates and support where possible. So his previous version should be considered redundant.
How the heck do I flash this?
It's slightly different than flashing a zip, so here's what you need to do.
Download the image file
Flash the ARH6 Vendor Image to your Vendor Partion from TWRP (Press the Install Image button at the bottom right of where you usually select a flashable zip)
Flash the System Image to your System Partition
Optional if you want root (but reccomended): Reboot to recovery again then flash your choice of Magisk. I use 17.1 as I can get galaxy wear to work with that version.
Reboot your device and you should be good to go! No need to flash gapps as they're included.

Thanks is there a way to pass ctsProfile in magisk? It remains falls.
Since my Note 9 is still on it's way and I'm on a S9 now I have a simple question.
In 8.1 AOSP ROM's IMS services and the Iris scanner don't work. Do they work on this ROM? And if Iris scanner doesn't work, can we still use biometric unlocking? I hate fingerprint scanner so on the rear as I use wallet cases and can't easily reach it.
I believe smart lock face unlock does not work. I added my face to it but I'm unable to 'improve face matching'. It simply says cannot start finding your face. And nothing happens when I try to unlock my phone using face unlock either.
Other than that, the typing feels a bit slower than stock Samsung roms. Not sure if it's the touch response or what. I disabled the haptic feedback for the keyboard but it still seems a bit slower. Could be just me though..
Apart from these issues, rom is definitely a daily driver so hats off to the entire team

Download hideprops in Magisk downloads. Reboot to initialise it. then download a terminal emulator from the playstore and type the command "props" without the quotes.
Grant SU to the terminal
then pick edit fingerprint. Select Samsung, and choose the s9+ fingerprint (number 22 I think). Reboot and then CTS will pass.

Iris Scanner will never work in an AOSP Rom. The libs are proprietary to Samsung experience roms.

Yeah it's a little quirk with GSI's unfortunatley. The vibration motor causes somewhat of a delay when typing. Turning off haptic feedback completely seems to make it normal for me. I've gotten used to typing without haptic feedback now haha.

A bit OT but is there a way to use the Gear with different roms without having the Gear being reset every time? It just seems to get reset every time I pair with it on a new rom.

I wish there was, I'm so sick of having to reset it I literally use my watch just as a watch most of the time because I'm flashing new builds so often. It's a pain in the neck and I don't know why Samsung did it this way, it's frustrating.

MANY THANKS, worked like a dream and passed!
Hi all,
Will Dolby atmos work?
Hi there,
great ROM. Flashed it today and so far everything looks very good.
Just tried out the camera and found a weird bug:
When taking videos (front and back camera), the screen flashes green about every second during recording. The video itself is not affected.
Seems to happen for every camera app.
Any way to fix this?

Does the P Smart+ have a notification LED?

For me there are three things that i want from a Phone:
A good Camera, a notification LED (because my Phone is always on silentmode) and a price lower than 330 dollars.
This looks like an unresolvable Task
and i also want the possibillity to disable digital balance ?
Thanks for Your Support!
Yes, it is on the bottom of the phone near the usb port
Yes, there is. But it's small. If that's not enough tho, there's a bunch of 3RD party apps which do the led thing when theres a call or notification.
