All unlocked in the usa android 10 out today.............USA ONLY. - Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Guides, News, & Discussion

Completed the upgrade. So far ok. Hate that dark mode automation only works without a theme. I wish I could change the theme and retain dark mode.
Also some animations are less that smooth. For example try swiping up from home within an app and see how jittery the app icon is while being put away.
Loving the squircle icons too.
Lift to wake, duh.

My 10 update on the T-Mobile N970U runs smooth....

I'm on an unlocked note 10+ in the USA running the most recent beta software from early December. Still no option to update to the official release. When do the beta testers get the update?

Im on an unlocked US phone and just got the software notification for android 10. I had the most recent non beta version of OneUI 1.5 or whatever it was.

I just side loaded the latest as I was on beta and did not get the OTA update.

I have the u1 variant and I'm running 1st update after updating to android 10, so I'm on January security patch. Everything runs great. Battery is the same as in last pie version so cant complain about nothing till now.

No update for me
Still on the second beta.
Is there anyway to force the update?

Android N 7.0 for Nexus 9: 22 August?

Nexus 5x and 6P should receive Android N (final) on 22 August.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...d-nexus-6p-nougat-updates-coming-august-22nd/
Maybe even Nexus 9?
Someone have information about it

I'm sure that if it does go live in Monday, factory images will be posted for all eligible Nexus devices at the same time.
It will have to be good to beat the current custom roms. Went back to latest stock marshmallow but soon went back to custom rom. I'll still try it though

Not seen any updates yet.
It's HERE https://www.android.com/versions/nougat-7-0/
Im looking for OTA, Factory image still not avaliable
Received the update yesterday -- it came as a surprise since I tend to receive updates later than sooner except the N previews.

Still waiting here. The images are not avoidable yet either.
How is it compared to stock 6.01?
Gone back to stock to get the update and 6.01 is pants compared to the likes of RR or AICP
Looks like the Factory image is available now:
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#volantis
Direct link to factory image:
https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/volantis-nrd90m-factory-b718f71b.tgz
And it work very well on my N9

It's newer, a little more refined, but still Android. The bulk of the changes will probably appear on the new 2016 devices built with Android 7 in mind.
I read that if you sign up for the developer preview, you receive the 7 full release. I enrolled for DP1, received all previews thru 5, then the 7 release yesterday. I enrolled my N6 (my daily driver) after I saw that DP5 was stable but have not yet received it on that device. I guess anyone who completed the full preview cycle got the update first.
Loaded the new N image form google and every thing is working fine. Like the split screen and it seems to take less memory. So far so good.
I have downloaded and installed Android N OTA. All went fine, and the system is much better and reactive than 5 and 6 versions. I am quite satisfied up to now.
Sideloaded the OTA. Looks good, but seems the OTA doesn't have the Nexus launcher... Is this included in the factory image? And if so... Does some has the apk for the Nexus 9? I have installed one but I get a small black bar in the app grid...

The Nexus launcher has not been publicly released yet by Google and is not included with any of the N factory images. There is a leaked APK for it floating around, but it's buggy. I'd wait for the playstore release.

What are the chances of Galaxy S9+ receiving unofficial Android P beta build

It’s unfortunate Samsung decided to leave their flagship smartphone out of the fun with Android P beta.
Do you think we will see an unofficial Android P beta any time soon. There was a story about a device receiving a unofficial build with DP1, what are the chances? Any developers working on it

I would not expect to see it unless you are on the Exynos version. And even then.... Prolly not.
Forget about it. As in the past: You will receive Android 9 from Sammy after 9.1 will be released by Google. Final version of P will be released together with Pixel 3, so I speculate that nothing will happen until 03/2019...
Probably have a better chance at winning the lottery lol
I think end of October some CSC will get a beta P test, like on S7 and on S8.
Final version mid or end of Q1 2019.
I would assume if it says "beta" in it we wouldn't get it until it's a final version at least.
I have it (android P) on my Pixel 2 and have to say, meh...nothing special. Horisontal recent apps are harder to handle, more colorful, clock on left side. Only good things are new font and turn phone face down to do not disturb auto. Stick to 8.0 on sammy and enjoy

JSN-L42 8.2.0.155 Update?

Yesterday I received this update which is of 2.91 GB. On the first glance I thought it was a Pie Update, but while reading the details it only contained some security fixes and February patches. Did anyone else received this update and know what it contains? I mean just for some security fixes, how can the update be of 2.91 GB?
Yes I got this update
I was also surprised to see a security patch update of 2.91 GB but after updating my battery backup improved. It was already good before but after updating standby battery is really good.
Just hoping it should not affect after pie update ?
Nice to know that there are some improvements apart from just security fixes only in this update. Even then, this doesn't explain this huge size.

Update 8.2.0.155
I think this update for roll back from emui 8.2 to emui 8.1 for honor 8x bcz pie update will rum on emui 8.1 not on emui 8.2......now i think pie will come on our devices in 5-10 days...
Weird. I thought the pie update would just replace the current rom. It wouldn't matter whether EMUI version is 8.1 or 8.2.
Anyways, eagerly waiting for the pie update. Let's hope we get it soon.

So far, pie beta is amazing. Battery life is great and phone feels more responsive. Can't wait for the complete thing.
Also, gaming performance is great, and camera colours have been toned down a bit, which produces more natural images, and if you like using ai camera, colours are also less intense. All in all, solid update. You should not have worries about pie.
Is pie beta released?

For those who participated in the beta, yes.
As far as I see, they released final version today.
Ohh nice. In India, I don't see it got released. Maybe in couple of days it will be released here as well.

MIUI battery stats app

More specifically the Security app (com.miui.securitycenter), does anyone remember what version updated it to be compatible with dark mode?
The latest version is really annoying as the battery stats are useless, when checking it the other day the screen on time actually started to reduce! I was at just over 8hrs SOT,then when I checked it later it was just over 7.
So I uninstalled updates on the Security center app and its great to have the old working version back. However its the original factory version that didnt have a dark mode, I remember there was a version of the old one that introduced dark mode before it got updated the new version/style battery and performance app. I'm currently using miui global stable 11.0.11.

Ok, did some trial and error on apkmirror lol.
I tried 4.1.2 and it was the new version, went back to 3.9.7 and its the old version and it works with dark mode, link below in case its any use to anyone else.

Damn thats a pity, guess i'll have to give it up once miui 12 hits. I dont understand how it get so messed up when it worked perfectly before. I dont really mind the visual overhaul but there just seems to be lots of issues with just providing the basic info of standby time since unplugged and SOT.

Question Android 12 Update

I have read through multiple outlets the Galaxy Tab a7 lite is due for the android 12/OneUI 4 update. Has anyone received it yet? I saw it was due sometime between June-August 2022.

Hi, I already update to Android 12 and there are not many visual changes because of the One UI layer, but I wanted to ask if you know anything about an update to Android 12L, I wish you could have an interface like the stock one. Greetings to all from Latam
OMG, there are few thing i hate android 12, one ui 4
first no way to turn off RAM plus, this device only 32GB, now force use RAM plus
second half of app when tap back, it act like we press home key, keep running at background, so some app will not refresh when open back
third, samsung keyboard no more do spell check, that option is missing
and what the point show date on top of screen? i know can turn off
How is the overall update experience with A12 ?
I'm still on A11 don't know why but A12 on this chipset is something I'm just waiting for something to flag this overall update as unstable

I downloaded it in the USA this monday. Apps and web pages seem to load a bit more smoothly and quickly, in my experience. I haven't noticed any other differences, but I haven't hunted for them, and I'm using Nova Launcher, which may be hiding any potential cosmetic changes.
