Triple shot - Samsung Galaxy S10 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I was wondering if there is a camera app out there that allows one to take a picture and record video using all three lenses simultaneously. I'd like three individual video files saved: ultra wide, normal, and telephoto. I have looked around and this appears to be unique to the LG V40 (for photos not videos) but it creates a lame slideshow with transitions effects I dont want.
Thanks!

Dont think its possible, since video recording uses the CPU alot. And filming with 3 lenses would be pretty difficult for the cpu, maybe in low quality it would be possible...

[Q] slow-motion camera or port of droid X's camera?

Is there a way to take slow-motion video with the Vibrant camera? I know that the droid-X has one but i cant find a port or anything that will work on the vibrant.
so if anyone knows if there is either a port of the Droid X camera or maybe a slow-motion app I would appreciate it.

The way most consumer digital cameras do slow-motion video (and video at all) is to record many different frames on the camera's CCD chip. The Vibrant's CCD, for example, can take 2560x1920 still images. It also records 1280x720 video at 30fps. To do this, it puts 4 different frames on the CCD, one after another. (1280 times 2 is 2560, so you can fit two frames across and two frames down, so that's 4 images on the CCD at once.)
To do slow-motion video, you just need to subdivide the CCD even further to fit more frames on it. This is why cameras that support slow-motion video record it in lower resolution--you're not really speeding up capture so much as stuffing more frames on a single CCD, which has limits in how quickly it can refresh.
On the Vibrant, you could theoretically do 120fps in 640x480 resolution by subdividing the CCD into a 4x4 grid (instead of the 2x2 is uses to do 720p 30fps). This gives 4 times as many frames per CCD refresh, which means 120fps. (Or you could do 720x640 at 60fps by subdividing into a 4x2 grid--half the pixels of a 1280x720 at twice the frame rate.)
Are the camera hardware drivers open source? My knowledge of Android stops at the API--I've never done any low-level device driver programming. If you can get the camera driver source, this should be possible. But I have no idea how difficult it would be.
(I'd love to see this feature, though--I found this thread searching around to see if anyone had done it already.)
Bump. I'm assuming this is a development dead end until we get the camera driver source...but it'd still be awesome to have this feature on more Android devices.
chuckbass... what you says is no sense, forgive me, but that isn't the way slow motion works, if there is a way to get a frame from an area of the ccd and subdivide in 2x2 you will get 4 incoherent images cos each will be sepparated by half resolution
Slowmotion it's dependant on how fast you can get the whole frame from the CCD, resize, apply some compresion or not, and store
in this part the RAM memory has a vital role
the proccess is:
1) get the whole frame from ccd, it's can be done by api's, but I think may be slow, but you need to test first, but through apis is more compatible
2) resize the frame, at least you can get a resized by hardware image, I think through apis the cdd can return an jpg
3) store to ram in raw mode or the jpg
repeat at fast the cpu can until fill the reserved ram
this may works to do a burst slow motion for a few second but very fast frame rate
another ways is to apply an algorithm and store in ram just if it's necesary but better to store directly into a fast SD memory to record continuously, here you can do test to find the max memory you can store to SD and maybe not using compression but just store in raw mode (like a bmp, or rle bmp)
there is no relation with resolution/frame rate and how much slowmotion you can do
I mean, if you can record [email protected] that doesn't necessary means a [email protected]
samsung omnia i900 can get arround 120 fps in 320x240 in a low bitrate video, works fine with good light, and [email protected]
Galaxy S can record [email protected], but has a better cpu and gpu
It's depends on cpu power, and/or gpu (and not in MHz)
I don't know about android programming, and just a few useless things in winmo, but I'm glad if I can help with anything
it's seems that not much ppl is interested on slowmotion, funny, cos is a very nice feature!
if there slowmotion in galaxy S or optimus 3D I will buy, but for now I will get a Casio EX-F100 and a Nintendo 3DS soon

[Q] Is there Camera App that takes pic without processing? Best quality?

Hi all, I'm new here and to the android world,
I have a Q:
I am coming from the graphic design and Photoshop and I knew few things about camera and image processing and after looking in the camera app on android I cant find good app that can just take a pic without processing! (sharpening, noise redaction, etc)
I wonder why no 1 made such app that gives the user option to take the natural photo prom the sensor without the stupid image processing algorithm!
I want the natural photo and edit it later in pro software (Photoshop)
Is the app like this?
I'm not sure if it processes images by default as it has effects that can be manually applied in post photography which might mean it takes pictures unprocessed, but I use a replacement camera app called camera zoom fx and it takes much better pics than my phones default camera app so it might be an option to try.
It also has more pre photograph options and modes such as burst and timelapse modes and more ways to control how the picture is taken such as metering controls.
Its not free but there may be a trial version. I bought it when android market had a sale offer on its top apps but its worth even normal full price.

Actually, I like the idea of RAW image format for Android camera. Is it possible?
There are a handful of great camera apps, some free, some not. I like to use Nemus camera, Camera effects ,and Fast burst, these are all free apps. The first two have some cool effect on them and the last app lets you take 30 shots per second. There is one called Camera Zoom FX that is 2 or 3 bucks. I haven't used it but I have read good things about it. Hope that helps.
If you are talking about app that takes no time and provide good quality selfie or pic. I recommend Camera 365 Beauty app...

[Q] Reduce video recording compression?

Hey guys,
I've got an xperia mini on ICS and, although it's not my main phone I still carry it around for it's pure small-factor-size. Just seems to fit anywhere.
The only thing I'm not impressed with is the video recording. It's S**T. Camera capture is pretty decent but the video recording is so blocky and jpegy it looks like its been compressed to play on a calculator. (and yes it is set to high quality in settings)
Now I don't believe this is the best the camera module can do. Is there no kind of app that can capture raw data from the camera and not compress it quite so much?
Am I asking too much?

Simply HDR app alternative

I was an iphone 5 user and made the switch over to the Note 2 recently. One thing I miss is this app called Simply HDR. It's a faux HDR that added some neat effects. I'm no photographer at all so I don't understand your basic photo settings which is why simply HDR was great because you could just choose a pre set and be done.
Does anyone know of an app that does pretty much the same thing, maybe one that I missed?
I have tried pretty much all apps i come across and the only one that comes close is HDR fx. Downside is it is way over done and the photos look over processed and terrible. There is also very few pre sets that create the desired effect.
Have you tried

Are you running a Custom ROM? The aosp cameras have an hdr function.

So far ive tried a lot of different apps. I like the best 'Fotor' and 'Camerace'. The best photo editor is either PicsArt or Aviary.

I purchased the following apps and have had great success with them.
You can see some photos taken with Pro HDR Camera on my Flickr @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/
Pro HDR Camera
HDR FX Pro (Have to play with the settings quite a bit to get the desired effect)
Perfectly Clear (Used to clean up images before sending to HDR FX or perform additional touch-ups after processing with HDR FX)
Pixlr Express (Used to clean up images before sending to HDR FX or perform additional touch-ups after processing with HDR FX and useful for resizing images)
You may also want to take a look at Vignette Camera and Camera FV-5. In my opinion, Camera FV-5 gives you the most control over the settings and pics.
Hope this helps

Hey im back... you can continue with life =)
Unfortuantely the only app that gets close to what im looking to accomplish was photo fx but it was way over processed looking. Ive got to spend time tinkering.
I got an email from the guys at Simplyhdr/JixPix and they plan in releasing simply HDR on android soon hopefully. Its not a natural hdr which most if the apps here seem to be doing actualy hdr function...taking multiple photos and stitching them together. Simlly hdr takes one and creates an hdr effect that seems more dramatic. Hard to explain.
try this...

do you have a sample pic of what you're trying to accomplish?
Just use a camera ... I mean if you are that picky about HDR settings on a cellphone..

Video recording problem - pixelated (upscaled?) 1080p video

I just recorded a small video of a local event with stock camera app set on 1080p video. In the video if you look around face of the singer or any thin lines, you will see little squares or jagged lines etc., as if the video was upscaled from 480p or something. It's even more visible on original file on a normal PC display, but even in the web version it's a defininte huge loss of resolution. This is very weird. I'm using madsurfer's ROM, but I don't think it's ROM related.
Here's the video: https://goo.gl/photos/c17a5iofhPas73aP9 - first few seconds are out of focus, then you can see the problem.
Any advice?
OK, I have found a workaround for the video problem!
First - I have confirmed, there is definitely a problem with 1080p video recording with stock camera app. I'm not sure if it's ROM related or stock is the same, but it's definitely there. The quality is very very bad, pixelated and feels upscaled.
However when I have installed Cinema FV-5 app, the quality is great, no more pixelation, everything looks better, even crappy digital zoom is smoother. I have shot same video at the same time with stock app and FV-5, and there is a huge difference:
Stock camera app video - pixelated and jagged edges, huge artifacts, digital zoom shows big square artifacts. Check roof edges on top left, and a street lamp pole line.
Cinema Fv-5 video - everything is smooth, no jagged lines, digital zoom shows no squares or pixelation - just sharpness loss.
You have to open both videos on a PC in full screen and with 1080p HD quality to really see the difference.
So the problem is clearly with the stock app, or madsurfer's ROM version of that app or settings. I think another camera app such as FV-5 solves this issue. I liked the simplicity of stock app, but it's not usable at this moment.
