Confusion about software version! Oxygen OS (10.0.5 & 10.3.0) - OnePlus 7T Pro (Regular & McLaren) Q & A

hello guys,
i have got a oneplus 7t pro HD1910 Which is chinese version. here in my region merchants sell the phone already converted to global without interference from the user. the user just goes to the shop and buys the chineese version already globally unlocked out of the box. Here is the problem. my phone has the indian software out of the box and i received an OTA update 10.3.0. and i dont know why iam having 10.3.0 which is indian. i want to convert my phone to EU Version specially that iam having some bugs in the software that i think the indian frimware that my phone has is the problem. iam confused about the version numbers because the latest EU version is 10.0.5 and my indian frimware has 10.3.0 which is higher? is the downgrade possible? and if yes anyone has the OTA link for me to install?

Better to switch to a chinese firmware than to stay with an Indian or US firmware

Like the title say is it better chinese firmware for future updates, hearing about LeEco problems in the US and India. I have a Le Max 2 had the sellers firmware on it the one without the system update. I was able to install the Indian one 5.8.19S. The way I see this only the chinese firmware is up to 5.9 and have a better chance to get Nougat. Thanks.
You don't have chance to get Nougat from the stock firmware either India or Chinese stock.
you should stick on whatever stock firmware you already have, or lineage OS for the latest android with buggies
no I flashed tablets and smartphones for ages but now I wont to stick with stock firmware. I read that LeEco are working on Nougat updates but I thing the chinese will possibly have it or if not I will update to the chinese the 5.9.2xS. thanks
2 questions
1. dose my warranty voide
2. will chinese version work same as indian version

1. No, unless u install recovery and root. ( I don't see any point here as LeEco is almost dead). also u can come back to Indian anytime u wish.
2. Yes, same as Indian but without Google apps though you can install manually.

Emui 9, Android 9 DOWNLOAD for P10, P10 Plus, Honor 9, Mate 9 - open beta update

https://www.getdroidtips.com/download-android-9-0-pie-beta-for-huawei/
You're welcome
Just notice:
The regions for the P10 firmware are limited to Latin America, Argentina und China.
Don't flash the firmware before rebranding your phone! It's also possible that you can't use the mobile network in your country with a firmware from a different region.
The Chinese versions, AL00 and TL00 don't have Google services including play store installed.
So, don't install anything without knowing what you do
I still wait for C432E1R1P8 and try flash to Pie Beta ??*

Do you have to rebrand first? What happens if you don't rebrand before flashing this?
I read that it will make you region C900 but nobody said if C900 is a problem. It's just the international version.
So you could still use the phone on region c900 right?
Possibly single/dual sim will be affected?
I don't know if it works different with pie, but my last information is, that you can't install it. The recover, even the NoCheck version, checks the oeminfo partition first. I also never heard about C900 VTR models, the international version without branding is C432, while this code is for France / Western Europe on older devices.
It can happen, that your phone shows developer version. Then you'll have some problems to rebrand to a real version with pie, because there are no oeminfo files for pie, yet.
If your phone is in developer mode, you're able to use it as normal but you won't be able to update via OTA or even with methods like HWOTA8.
Is it worth to upgrade to Android Pie 9.0 ? Does anybody has some experience with it ? I read somewhere that 9.0 works much more with Ai algorithms. Like prediction, etc. Beside that Ai for OS usability i am more curios if / interested in:
- if it uses less RAM memory
- if it use less battery power
- if it has a performance boost overall
If all of this points are opposite on 9.0 , i don´t see any benefits in it.

What if we rebrand to version C605 which is this 9.0 firmware region then flash the rom.
Theoretically if this is the first firmware available in europe for Pie then we should get an update of final version soon after right?
So won't need to rebrand later and by that time Pie will be full release??
The main concern is to make sure bootloader code does not change during rebranding because then we're stuck.

C605 is for Latin America / Columbia. If they use other network frequencies than Europe and Huawei specified those frequencies in the firmwares than you're not able to use it here.
But yes, you should be able to rebrand to C605 by flashing the correct oeminfo. Rebrand on Oreo first before you update to Pie.
The bootloader code shouldn't change because of rebranding, it's hard coded into the bootloader and Huawei uses serial, model number (not region) and IMEI to make the code, those information won't change.
If you'll get updates while using a phone in a different region as the firmware says, isn't clearly, yet. Huaweis update plitics are a miracle, some guys still stuck on Nougat, some guys are getting the newest updates.
Update manually if you want to be up to date.
Guys I'm from Argentina and want to install emui 9. Tried to move to SD but fat32 has 4gb files limit. Is there any way to install it from internal storage?
Format SD to NTSF
So, did anybody from Europe rebranded and got it working with gsm properly? If so, to which region did u rebranded? Thank you.
Good evening to everyone. Is there a twrp for p 10 EMUI 9? Thank you

Help download and flashing firmware yal-lgrp2 yal-lgrp1

Hello,
I have a Honor 20 Pro bought from China, with Chinese firmware. I would like to change a global firmware. Problem is I don't know witch is the correct version. In the firmware finder of huawei says my compatible firmware is YAL-LGRP2-OVS. In the engineer menu says I have installed YAL-LGRP1-CHN.
Its the same phone? Its possible flash yal-lgrp2 in my phone yal-lgrp1?
Thanks.
please can anyone answer that ??
I have the same question as I bought the same device from chine
LGRP1-CHN for Asian models and LGRP2-OVS for Global models
You can´t flash Global Rom on China Version.

Realme 6 - Global Version Firmware Update

Hey everyone. I'm a proud new owner of a Realme 6. I bought it as being a global version (model RMX2001) 4/128GB.
I updated but found out that the firmware version was RMX2001_11.B.33. I think it must be a Russian Version even though I bought it through a spanish online retailer, since the box comes in russian.
I checked and there was a version for the Indian Region (RMX2001_11.B.37)with the same changelog as the one for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34). I downloaded the firmware for the European Region (RMX2001_11.B.34) and updated through the recovery mode.
Can someone explain to me what are the consequences of doing such a thing since I updated a RMX2001 model with a RMX2001EU model? Also, does this mean that from now on I'll get the OTA updates for the RMX2001EU model, European Region or only the ones for the RMX2001 model, whatever region I got?
Any other input regarding this subject is deeply appreciated. I'm curious more than anything. Thanks!
my phone is also a eu model, and didnt get the latest update to.
what i did is realme.com india region/market and find the o.zip RMX2001_11.B.37 and installed
everything working just fine for me. so i think all those phones are just the same..

I got my phone from amazon spain. I live in switzerland.
The latest OTA was B.30 for me. I downloaded B.37 from Realme Site and also updated via recovery.
Everything works however.
The hardware is definitely the same in all phones. But somethings still different. Some phones are able to unlock bootloader (india models I think) while EU models cant.

I definitely updated my Global Version with the EU Firmware. And in the settings I have the RMX2001_11.B.34 Version (which is actually the same as the RMX2001_11.B.37 according to the changelog, but not the size). I prefer the EU version since it may have less bloatware and ads due to the European restrictions. Also, I live in Portugal so I think it's better to use the EU version, unless a more recent version is available.

That's the strange part. It seems all roms are interchangeable, but then, what are the differences? Actually, how can one know what is their region? I say mine must be from Russia due to the text in the box and it also had a russian app installed. I updated with the EU rom and the model still is RMX2001 (not RMX2001EU), but the version is RMX2001_11.B.34. So I used a RMX2001EU_11.B.34 rom and it updated to the RMX2001_11.B.34 (missing the EU part). Furthermore, all package names and MD5 checksum are the same, when compared. Therefore, I actually think it is all the same and one can use any rom to update.

I didnt even realize that I downloaded the "non EU" rom from the india site. I honestly dont know if I had an EU rom when I first booted up my phone. I dont remember seeing EU in the OTA settings. However the latest OTA for me was the b.30, which is why I updated to b.37 manually because i thought higher number = latest update
Yeah its very weird. I only know that there is a global and an india version of the phone. We definitely have the global one or else we would have trouble with the 4g signal (or at least me here in switzerland)
EDIT: I think im a little confused now. I think you mean you had the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 (with the A)
There is A and B. Probably A for global and B for india
on 4pda forum some members mention that RU firmware supports "call recording", in all other roms(incl. EU) thats restricted due legal laws

You're right. I updated with the RMX2001EU_11.A.34 firmware version. Actually, I must have updated to the RMX2001_11.B.33 via OTA and then by updating with the RMX2001EU_11.B.34, I ended up with the build number RMX2001_11.A.34. At least that's what shows up.
I honestly think we can use whichever we want that any will work. I'll stick to the EU versions.

So supposedly, you downgraded... This is definitely weird! ahah As long as nothing is bricked, it's fine. At least we know that we can update with any version.
Also, on a separate note, does anyone know how to check volte and vowifi? Or enable it?

Well, both versions are supposed to bring the very same updates. I'd rather wanted to be on EU version too, even if its just for the file name and nothing else lol. My phone probably shipped with the A version and I mistakenly updated it to B
if you look at the changelog it is the same for both versions

Hi. I want to buy a realme 6 in Spain but I need to record calls. The EU version does not allow to record calls, but the Indian Rom does include call recording. I have read that you installed the Indian version, can you see if you have the option to record calls?
To change rom is just install? There is no need to open bootloader, right? Can the Indian Rom be used in any country? I want to use in Spain
Thank you very much.

But I think it is only necessary to change the EU rom to a RU or Indian Rom. Do I need to unlock bootloader just to switch to a Rom from another country? It's strange...
I updated but found out that the firmware version was RMX2001_11.A.38.

Could you answer me if this version with Russian box has the Brazilian Portuguese language?
How can I change the ROM?

Official update Android 11 UI 2.0

Hi all,
I have the Indian Global Version of the Realme 7 Pro and I live in Europe.
My current software version is RMX2170PU_11.A.39
I tried to get the new version RMX2170PU_11_C.20 OTA by using an Indian VPN, but no update appears.
Is it enough to have an Indian VPN, or is it a problem that I am connected in an Europe mobile network like Vodafone?
Any ideas to get the update? The best way would be a direct download, but I cannot find it.
Any ideas?
Murph
I set regio to India, the language to Hindi and used surfshark to get over VPN Mumbai into the internet. I also faked GPS to India.
But no update appears, A39 is my current version.
Has anyone more ideas to get the update for the Global Version?
I have the Australian model with AU firmware and the April patch. There's no sign of the update for me either, despite other countries receiving it. I emailed Realme in Australia to ask and they couldn't tell me anything useful.
