How to change font ? - Xiaomi Redmi 8A Questions & Answers

Anyone know how to change the font on Redmi 8A miui rom? The theme settings don't seem to give an option for changing the font but allows to change everything else. I've installed iFont from the play store but it tells me to install downloaded fonts through the miui Themes app

Theme app actually allows you to change the font. Just slide to the left and you'll see the font tab. If you want to apply 3rd theme, font... you must install xiaomi.eu rom or use a developer account.

Yeah my themes app seems to be different from yours. I'm on Global rom so maybe that's why.
Edit: I changed my region in settings to India and now I am able to change fonts. Thanks for your responses

How to make Legend look like it has ICS.

I have discovered some ways on how to make my Legend look like it's running ICS without being on an ICS ROM and thought I would share them here if anyone was interested.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not responsible for anything that happens to your phone during this process. All linked content belongs to their respective owners. I just made this guide so all the information was in one place.
Requirements:
-A CyanogenMod based ROM with the Theme Chooser app. Other steps can be used on other ROM's though.
-LauncherPro
-Icons and Dock Pictures for LauncherPro
-Internet Connection
1. Download the ICS MDPI theme made by Sonny Sekhon from the Market/Play Store and install it using the Theme Chooser App included with CM ROM's
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonny.theme.icsmdpi&hl=en
2. Theme LauncherPro by following this guide. Be sure to use the icons in the MDPI folder.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1306594
3. Download ROM Toolbox Lite. Go to the Interface tab. Select Font Installer and then install the font Roboto. Once done go into ROM Manager by ClockworkMod and Fix Permissions. Reboot. Note: You may get bootloops. Just wait a bit and phone should eventually start.
Once done then you should be good to go. Here's some screenshots of what my phone looks like.

[Q] Apex themes

Hey I just updated to the latest build of apex launcher I believe it is 1.2.0beta1. I see that they've added in theme support and I was wondering if anyone has tried using it at all. If you have what themes worked for you and where did you get them? I tried searching apex themes on market but didn't find anything. I realize it's a beta so there probably aren't many themes available if at all but if there are any I'd like to know.

I assume none are finished at this point considering theme support was just released.
But you can use GoLauncher & ADW themes.
For example Ubuntu theme.

Oooohhhh so all of the adw themes will work. Thanks for the insight lilchris.

And how do we apply those themes I don't see an option

First you need pro version.
After you download Go/ADW themes, then hit menu in desktop or go to apex settings and click on theme settings, pick one and hit apply.
If you have free version, then you have to manually switch each icon from the pack you downloaded.

how do i keep a wallpaper from a rom?

so theres a wallpaper that i really like but would like to use it on another rom.. how would i go about doing so??? thanks :good:
Unzip the rom that has it, then go into system, customize, resource, and find the one you want.

Most wallpapers will be where metalfan pointed out but sometimes if a ROM has multiple built in Themes (this is for Sense based ROMs) then the specific wallpaper will be inside the APK for that said theme.
For example, my theme replaces Matte.apk so if you wanted the wallpaper that comes with it you would just open up the apk (for this scenario any zip/rar app will work, like 7zip or winrar) and then go into assets/image/ and the wallpaper will be in there. Like so:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I know this isn't exactly what you asked for but it's very related and some 'theme ROMs' stash specific wallpapers in the skin apks.
Good call Racer, and you're welcome evo

Theme Park

Hi,
Needing dark theme because of eyesight I've discovered theme park and found it very helpfull with one caveat at least, I can't change folder background color. I'm also using nova launcher but none of the 2 seems to do a thing.
Any idea ?
Thanks.

I'm still running Android 9, One UI 1.5 I think there was another color individual folder option but it won't run on my version. Lol, I refuse to upgrade as Pie runs too good.
The Good Lock app updates tend to lag the OS OS upgrade releases. A quaint Samsung tradition If that's the case Samsung will... eventually... fix it.
