Undervolting?

Hello, can undervolting break my CPU? Or is it even useful?

That's the great thing! Really the worst that can happen is your phone freezes or reboots. Once you have undervolted your CPU to just above its freeze/crash levels, there are no disadvantages!
can anyone please tell what is lowest safe voltage for OnePlus X?

No, as it is completely device specific. There are tolerances in manufacturing process, and u have to figure out the values for ur exact soc

I have PVS 13. Is that good?
I am using ashwins cm13 @ blue spark kernel, undervolted and underclocked to a max of 1497mhz. My phone runs a lot cooler, charge faster, and I can constantly hit 5hrs plus sot, sometimes I even manage 6hrs sot if I am only using im apps and this is all on mobile network and never on WiFi. So with WiFi i could probably hit 6hrs constant.

Redmi note 4 CPU heats to 57 degrees and throttles in Fifa 16.

Don't play games while charging.
And ... and ... 10 cores when running at full speed will get hot. It's best to have only four cores in a phone paired with a powerful GPU (only Qualcomm) offers this.
However to give a proper answer, please use a tool like CpuTemp and log all temperature, and then share it.
Once you did this, we can help you.

So whats up with the Mi 8 benchmark scores?...

This article was published by GSMarena in regards to the recent review they done on the Xiaomi Mi 8, after reading, I'm interested in what you guys think

I don't think this article was bad against the Mi 8, I think they just tried to give a explanation for the benchmarks in the review
does it actually have bad thermal dissipation? bad review unit ?
I wonder since some people still waiting on how to achieve 300k antuntu score.

Apparently Xiaomi have capped the Snapdragon 845 because of thermal issues, which I imagine is heat dissipation yes

No offense, the benckmark tools is a gimmick thing. I personally don't care benchmark stuff included like AMD or NVIDIA. They're well paid by OnePlus & others too.
Dont know how gsmarea get such a bad score. I was on 9.5 Stable with my Mi8 and got about 269.000 points. With Miui10 Open Beta i havent tested, will try it later.

One guy achieved 290k on MIUI 10 China beta version so I think we can achieve it when we get the MIUI 10 stable build. Cause when mi6 was announced they told that it can achieve 182k but it even got 200k antutu score so I think there's a problem with the rom I guess. With custom roms it will perform like a beast.
I got from GSM Arena article that Mi8 is tuned for sustained performance and actual real world performance also, as after 10-15 minutes it even improved from 75% to 77%, but other Snapdragon 845 processors are tuned for benchmarks 5-10 mimutes performance and after that they fall down hard with crazy throttling...

But the performance loss increased until the device was cooled down completely, that isn't sustaining performance?

I think the every device has 60 hz display but that 1 kernel which have 70 hz display (extreme kernel) overclocks the display to 70 hz.

Thx for The answer im looking for it so we have to wait..
Theres a modified konabess out there - also a couple of profiles. Check adreno Group on Telegram. Running fine
OK thx you.
I am using KonaBess. According to my experience sweet spot is 730mhz for gpu (stock freq is 719mhz)
731 mhz fails somehow (2.5fps in 3dmark). Maybe due to trustzonefx
I have a undervolted preset and it is stable. (test many hours with playing genshin)
Thx alot mate you succeeded to undevolt to? How much The lowest? What volt you are use can you send The file thx alot.
For other phones with gen 2 can rich 730? And The best highs? Turbo l1? Or less

Other 8 gen 2 phones max is 692 its because trust zone limits the overclocking to small amount sadly

I have no idea about gen1 plus, you can easily ask the Konabess Telegram group.

It depends, but normally I shut off the thermal engine on my phone with root, When I play genshin impact. The CPU temps are between 75-80 degrees and the GPU temp is between 70-75 after heavy gaming. ( I am playing with Blackshark Funcooler 3)
CPU Temps can momentarily spike up to 85-87 degrees in fights on various lands.
the reason why these temperatures are so high may be because I have removed the SoC temperature limit. With SoC thermal limiting on, I don't think it will exceed 70 degrees, but with thermal limiting on, you may experience sudden FPS drops in the game, both as you play the game and in mob battles.
edit:
I suggest you install Game booster plus and turn on framebooster in the setting for Genshin Impact, I also play with GPU fixed to 730mhz (can be done from Thundertweaks app)
The reason I fixed the gpu to 730mhz is because it reduces sudden FPS drops in the game.
In general, FPS drops occur because the framebuffer codes in the game are not coded correctly. I hope the game will fix these bugs in the future.
I used a decent undervolt across all clock speeds and bumped the top clock to 730mhz. Nothing lags, no artifacts either on 3dMark Wildlife Extreme. Konabess config file attached.
