Hello guys how you all doing?
So i have this Device for about 4 months and i wanna try some Stable or Daily Usage able rom. I did try some like Havoc 3.0, And Pixel Experience also Miui but in Miui i have faced bit of shuttering which was anonying so i went back to Stock.
Now from users who tried lot of Roms and kernels can you guys Suggest a Rom for Daily Usage with Good performance and Battery ? also a stable google camera would be nice.
there is lots of custom Rom so i need some suggestions, also i need customization. so PE won't work for me.
In my Past Device Redmi 5 Plus Havoc was the daily since it was official and Bug free.
Thanks
Regards.
If this is the wrong sections am sorry please move this thread thanks

Only MIUI.EU has ability to unlock phone with fingerprint when phone is sleeping. I don't recommend miui eu because it starts freezing after few days and one week ago my device completely freezed and tried to restart but it bricked. I also don't recommend pixel experience because you can't unlock with fingerprint when phone is sleeping.

marshmallow update vs CyanogenMod 13.0 for gaming

hello i have a honor 5x kiw-l24 usa
i recently updated to marshmallow and im a bit disappointed .
i thought it would make it noticeably faster. i changed the launcher to google now , turned off all animation , deleted and force stopped a bunch of apps.,
cleared cache , factory wiped marshmallow after update . dont know what else to do.
right now im playing two games , republique and dawnbringer.
dawnbringer takes about one minute 47seconds to load { takes about 40 seconds on my yoga 2 10.1 tablet }
and republique takes 46 seconds to load. { takes about the same time on my yoga 2 10.1 tablet }
if i change the rom to CyanogenMod 13.0 will these games load faster , mainly dawnbringer ???
is there any way to get dawnbringer to load faster ??
i installed CyanogenMod on a nook tablet before and it was a disaster, took quite a few months before the bugs were fixed { volume caused shutdown , etc.. }
im not hatin' on the phone im just curious if the CyanogenMod 13.0 will be a big enough noticeable difference , and if all the bugs are taken care of ????
is it worth it to sacrifice fingerprint scanner ??
also ive noticed this rom "Stock rooted version of the latest KIW-L24 B331 - Android 6.0.1 EMUI 4.0 Update"
does this rom offer the same performance of CyanogenMod 13.0 ???
Hi @towncarblue, I'm using EMUI 4.0 Marshamallow on my KIW-L22. The gaming performance is not good. The device heats up too much. I suggest you to go with CM13 because it is better optimised for our device.
whats the diffrence between cm13 and the "stock rooted debloated rom" ??
the "stock debloated rooted rom " appears to retain all the features , does it get rid of emui ???
CM13 is much better than stock ROM.
im doing some research on this site but im not sure what issues remain ??
so far i got this :
1- no fingerprint
2-camera hangs and sucks batttery like crazy if you do 2 hdr photos. Don't use hdr.
are there any other issues i should know about before i void my warranty ??/

Instruction in CM thread says that to avoid any issues, update to stock MM before flashing CM13 with FPS fix.
Go here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/hon...-unofficial-cyanogenmod-13-0-nightly-t3344499
Read through last maybe 5 to 10 pages before asking questions. cheers.
well.... i reinstalled stock rom, then reinstalled cm13.
got fingerprint working now. im pretty happy for now. i cant believe that cm13 update came out the same day after i had downloaded the 2016-07-19 .
i just have one more question...
i downloaded the "stock" version of gapps , will that hurt performance ???
quick update...
dawnbringer runs alot smoother now , i love this
can you make a video tutorial on how to do this? flash CM13 with everything else ?

Weird Issue with My Device's Touchscreen/LCD Panel (Mido)

So, i bought a new mido few days ago. It is very good device. I just have one issue, the dt2w is not working on mine even in stock miui. So i am waiting for three days for unlocking my device officially. Then i installed the latest Lineageos 15.1 on latest global stable firmware. Its really smooth experience at all. No bug. But, i still faced the dt2w issue (stock kernel). I tried to install custom kernel (franco kernel), but still the same. I have ft5435_ts touchscreen. Anyone can tell me an explaination about "whats going on with device"? Thanks for advance.

How to fix weird touch issues while playing pubg?

Hello guys!
I flashed the latest miui global Beta 9.5.17 and it has completly broken pubg for me because of causing weird ghost touch issues.
The most weird issue is that while playing pubg, if I so much as HOVER MY THUMB over the screen, the joystick section starts responding and moving my character randomly. Huh? I mean how the hell can it respond without me even physically touching the screen? I have no idea WTH is going on here.
And btw rotating the screen and thereby flipping pubg controls temporarily fixes this issue until it starts happening again so basically for it work I have to keep rotating my phone throughout the game. (sighhh)
I had none of these issues earlier when I was on stable miui rom.
So anyways, having lost my hopes on official ROMs, someone here (who might have been on the same boat) help me guide what custom rom and/or kernel should I flash to get rid of these pubg related bugs?
Please note that the touch is fine everywhere else and only starts ****ting on pubg. But again it could just be bad on all the other app/games that make heavy use of multiple touch for longer period of times such as pubg etc but I can't confirm for now.
Thanks for your time.
PS: my screen panel is NVT-ts and I bought brand new phone only a week ago and it's global version.
Try this using different touch firmware better than the one included in 5-9 beta
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-glqdCVAUUC_GEA07_ZQLmBlXZjUqp-w/view?usp=drivesdk
Only for NVT-ts Panels
try to rollback to 9.4.26 it's touch is good bur you should do it now before the new update rolled out because you can only rolled one step and you will miss out this version
it is completely originated from the rum. once google 8.1 versions of the error, users have encountered such a situation. 8.1 I installed the RR-OS ROM on my Mi 5S PLUS phone. and to fix it I had to upload the file published by google with magisk.
I wanted to share the subject. If you are experiencing a welded screen error with mi 5s plus or 8.1 rom I can help. Good luck with

Hi freind,
I don't know what do you mean by the latest update beacuse I'm currently on the most latest beta update that miui is offering right now. Earlier I was on stable rom and had exactly the same issue on that one too
Fixed touch issue
So just posting this to let everyone know that I finally got all my touch issues fixed simply by ditching the crappy miui rom and flashing pixel experience CEF rom on my device.
Not only did it fix my touch issue both in and out of game but actually made my device hell lot smoother & so much more fun to use!
So if you are having any issue please do yourself a favor and flash the said rom already!
Thanks everyone in this thread for their time and comments.

Most Stable official Rom?

I recently bought Mi note 10 lite and its on miui 11 right now. Since I won't be able to roll back the firmware I wanted to ask which one should I use to update. Should I update to lates official rom from ota? Is there any complaints about the updates?

If it can be reversed, at least I did it from Android 11 (miui 12.1.1), I was in global miui 12.0.3 and also tried miui eu, however I ended up going back to the factory ROM.
The best ROM for the mi note 10 Lite is miui 11.0.8 in performance and battery.
regards

This can be concluded as 'Do not update.'
The main concern now is about the old security patch, which may risk the data in the device from hacking. An alternative attempt to fix security problems is to install trusty ( I mean famous and good rated) antimalware app(s), which may take a little bit of storage and use a little bit of battery.
AOSP or debloated roms can be also nice battery-wise and speed-wise, but there are stability concerns, bugs and can also affect security.

The issue of security is relative in the devices because it will depend on the type of use you give it, personally I still do not think there is a stable and secure ROM better than Miui 11.0.8 (at the moment).
As I discussed earlier, I have tested all the official ROMs on this device and none will be better in fluidity and battery management than the factory ROM.
We'll see what happens to miui 12.5, but for now I'm staying where I am.

You are absolutely right, it is better to wait a few months while we see how the official and custom ROMs evolve because at the moment there is nothing stable.
Greetings.

It may be worth mentioning that it is rumored that MIUI 12.5 is fluid but battery is still kind of, bad. The MIUI 12.5 is still in alpha state (China devloper version) though, hope that the battery drain is fixed in the final stable build.
We might need to wait for MIUI 13 and probably battery life will get better...

Unfortunately, because of warranty concerns, I don't want to unlock BL. This breaks the warranty. Hence I dont have chance roll back.
Right now my rom is 11.0.4 and I found a problem where I am not able to use slow motion recording. Camera just stops responding.

Hello friend ..
I found the performance and battery problems in the global versions 12.0.3 and 12.1.1, in the same way in the custom ROM of miui.eu 12.0.3.
I understand that Xiaomi does not remove the warranty for unlocking the bootloader, but still, I think you can try updating to the version of miui 11.0.8 because it runs very smoothly for me and is the best.
Regards.

Por supuesto
Link: https://xiaomifirmware.com/download/15842/
Download the Zip and move it to the downloaded_rom folder.
Then go to settings, About the Phone, then update system and on the miui 11 logo, touch several times to activate the advanced installation options.
Go to the 3 points on the top right and select package to update. Select the package saved in the downloaded_rom folder.
The download link is from miui 11.0.8 global, if you need the miui EEA tell me.

Question MIUI just can't work on my phone. Crashes, Reboots

Hey everyone, I have the Indian variant of Redmi note 10 (mojito) 4/64.
I was using pixel experience for quite a long time, but after PE 12 I switched back to MIUI. It was working fine, then all of a sudden the phone switched off and started rebooting itself. Now it always crashes and reboots again and again on MIUI ROMs (both Stock and Modded). But it works perfectly on custom roms like AOSP based ones.(pixel os, PE+). I cant figure out what's causing this issue. but I get the same error even on MIUI 12.
Also, the stock camera app crashes in MIUI and macro camera just doesn't work at all.
Any idea why this is happening? Thanks
