Twin App missing in EMUI 8.2.0 (Android 8.1.0) - any help please? - Huawei Y7 2019 Questions & Answers

Yes, I know, many apps is doing it, but I like keep it clean, without any apps, I don't wan't root it too due to warranty resons so I have found this:
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-clone-any-application-with-emuis-app-twin-feature-no-root/
Thank You very much for this solution. Directly is not working for our Y7 2019 but what I have discovered:
1. adb shell
2. settings get secure clone_app_list
answer is: null
3. settings put secure clone_app_list "com.facebook.katana;com.facebook.orca"
as wanted dual messanger and fb
4. nothing, nothing at all :crying:
hold on....
5. switch off, and then on phone and leave it for few seconds and You will see "twin app is updating" leave it for good 10mins and phone will duplicate all basic google apps (there is no twin app, and will be no any twin app) but somehow in Settings --> Accounts You will see not only "Personal" accounts but "Twin" now There is no any Twin App so You can't clone any app, but all accounts You can now like FB, messanger, Google services...
THE PROBLEM IS:
Switch off/on phone and all job gone, why?
Anyone is able help to save it on the end please?

HowTo: Speed Up Motorola Milestone X2 (2.3.6) by Freezing Apps (Updated 2/23/2012)

DISCLAIMER
MYSELF, THE GOOD PEOPLE ON THIS FORUM, AND/OR THE DEITY YOU PRAY TO ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE. THERE IS ALWAYS A RISK AND FRANKLY IT IS HIGHER FOR MX2 USERS SINCE WE DON'T HAVE A LOT OF SBF OPTIONS. TO SUM IT UP, IF YOU BRICK YOUR PHONE I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE, YOU AGREE TO THIS IF YOU CONTINUE BELOW!
UPDATES
02/23/2012 - Thanks to jonb42 who pointed out a typo I made on DataCollectorProvider, I had it listed as DataCollectorService. In addition, because I ended up freezing some other things he mentioned I initially didn't list I have now listed them. There is still plenty more one can freeze as an FYI.
02/17/2012 - It was pointed out by someone that freezing Yahoo Contacts will destroy your contacts app. This was certainly the case with 2.3.5 for me, however it so far has NOT done this in 2.3.6. If I remember correctly even in 2.3.5 you could freeze Yahoo Contacts but you also had to freeze a few other apps for your contacts to function. If anyone else does this please feel free to report back on this.
02/17/2012 - Previously I had various apps that required a battery pull marked as such. A budy of mine used the guide and had totally different results as to what applications required a battery pull so I removed said warnings as they seem to be sporadic.
Why are you doing this?
I am making this thread for anyone with the MX2 running 2.3.6 looking for a way to get more performance out of their phone. To be clear this DOES NOT apply to the Droid X2, you fellows have a few custom ROM options which are far easier to implement, unfortunately most Milestone X2's are now at 2.3.6 and don't have said options since most custom ROMs are based on 2.3.4 or 2.3.5.
Prerequisites
Your phone must be rooted.
You SHOULD have CWR (recovery) on your phone and functioning, and have done a backup of your WORKING phone.
You must have Bloat Freezer or a similar app with the ability to freeze apps. I like Bloat Freezer personally (http://www.bloatfreezer.com/) but many others use Titanium Backup. You can even do it by hand if you like. Regardless thank you to Trey Holland for developing Bloat Freezer.
Explanation of Process
The basis for speeding up your phone by freezing apps is ... well manufactures install a lot of applications that run in the background that you will never, ever, ever use. These said apps eat processor time, RAM, and just in general are annoying to geeks. In the case of Motorola most of these apps are part of "blur", which is part of the "Motorola Experience". By freezing these apps you can return system resources and speed up the phone, or at least it did for me. The down side is YOU CAN BRICK YOUR PHONE ... see above disclaimer!!!.
So how does this work?
Basically, with your program of choice you choose to "freeze" given applications. The thing to remember is these programs (whether it is Bloat Freezer or Titanium Backup) will display ALL running applications on your phone. Some of these applications can, and in fact are ABSOLUTELY necessary for your phone to be useful. If you freeze the wrong application you can literally make your phone useless.
In addition, after freezing some applications your phone will not be usable for a bit until you pull the battery, replace the battery, and power it back on. I personally don't know of a way around this with some apps your phone simply will "freak out" and the battery pull is the only option.
You are wrong about some stuff and I think you are dumb, so there ...
If you know I have something that is inaccurate here, please message me so I can update this HowTo, my goal is to help the community which has been awesome to me. I will accept any feedback that isn't overtly negative.
What I Froze
Ok so this is the list of applications I was able to freeze and still have a functioning phone. As mentioned above I use very few widgets and the like, so it is completely plausible that some of these might wreck some functionality you rely on. Previously I only listed apps that were typically running. I am now listing all apps that I froze. To be blunt, only apps that run on a continuous basis will really affect performance, but I hate stuff being enabled I don't use so this is my complete list.

Other Apps
As I mentioned my list above concentrates mostly on apps that were always running, but I have since updated the list to show some I just froze because I didn't want to see them in my apps list. Regardless there are still many more that you could freeze.

Clcrawl,
this post has transformed my phone! And it saved me a lot of the legwork to find out which things I could freeze on the Milestone X2. Here's a list of what I had on my phone in case it is helpful for anyone: I am on ACS Alaska carrier so no doubt that's why the difference.
- Blue italics are items on your list that were not on my phone.
- No formatting = froze without having to pull battery & no ill effects so far - watch this space!

Thanks much for the feedback Jonb42. You are correct on the typo on DataCollectorProvider and I will fix that. Very strange you don't have some of the things. The theory previously was all the MX2s had the same SBF, but this would suggest otherwise, unless your provider manually removed some of the stuff. As far as the other things, I think I pretty much froze everything else that you had in blue as well. I may just update the post and show everything I froze. Thanks much again for the feedback.
EDIT: After talking to a budy my color blindness screwed me here, you had most of the stuff I had as well I just didn't look for italics. I forget I am color blind *slaps forehead*
speed decreases
---Update----
Looks like freezing does not do the trick for everything. I still find processes running (com.motorola for instance) that I have frozen (and still appear frozen in TB's list).
Searching for why online I found a list of people renaming these apps to .bak and thus stopping them running for good.
This bring me to the question: what if all this freezing I've been doing without every having to pull the battery has been because the apps were not really being frozen??? Thus this list of freezable apps might not be truly safe!
I am going to start trying the rename apps process but carefully with the above in mind. Someone has written a script to do this automatically but it is for a Droid X2 of course so not quite applicable...
----End of Update----

When I first froze all these apps I restarted AND pulled my battery for good measure even though my phone hadn't crashed I thought it would make sense to do so.
On startup my phone's performance was amazingly good, I was able to open each app pretty fast (its all relative!) and return to the home screen fast, and I did this with enough apps that I knew I must be forcing some to unload from memory and knew that it was all nice and fast.
However over a bit of time I've noticed that my phone has slowed down again. Does anyone have any idea why this might be so?
Restarting does not seem to help. However, restarting + pulling the battery does help get me back to "snappy".
I'm running SD speed increase, set to 2048, and the supercharger script v8.

I wasn't able to remove the Yahoo Authenticator without my Contacts constantly force-closing... I would strongly recommend keeping that one enabled if you value using that app. (Stupid Yahoo.)
I couldn't remove my Messaging app because it is the one way to access all my inboxes. Maybe I should just switch to K-9 Mail, but as it stands I kinda want work e-mail to come through.

[APP] Help is required with Facebook (and Whatsapp) apps

Hi everyone,
I made a simple search yet I'm not sure I know how to really pronounce my problem for a good search result
For over 2 months now I've been having issues with Facebook app. I'd like to describe my symptoms and things I've been checking out and I'd be more than happy if you pro's could share your 2 cents.
1) Facebook crashes spontaneously .. and I don't mean FC. It simply "vanishes". The app disappears from main view (I have no ghost of it under "Running Apps"). I have to open it again. When I do, my feed is rearranged as if its the first time I launch facebook after boot. No specific thing I do that does is. I can browse, I can type a comment, I can press a like. I can simply live the screen on (keep awake with power).
2) Faceboot app constantly "disconnects" and denies updating its data. For instance, I may finger-browse my feed and suddenly I get to the bottom of the feed with "Can't Connect" and a sad cloud icon. Same happens if I try to "refresh" the page, search for a user or go into a group - "Can't Connect". I have to manually close facebook (apps-screen and swipe away) for it to get fixed..
Things I've noticed:
1) I'm using 1plus2 oxygen latest (2.2.2?). I've changed app permission to block access to "calendar", "contacts", "camera", "audio", "clipboard", "location"
2) I noticed that when I recoked app permission "Keep Awake" - vids didn't start properly. Some of them crashed my app like in (1) above. I restored "Keep awake" and "Audio" and vids play fine. I restored the rest of the permissions and I still get the "cant connect" issue.
3) I've constantly limited facebook permissions even on my old Nexus 5 phone (using cyanogen privacy default deny any permissions unless specified by me)
READ FURTHER FOR EXTRA ISSUES IF POSSIBLE
1) Whatsapp. My current whatsapp is constantly backed up and the .db file moves between phones I change (for over 3 years now).
2) my db file is ~1GB. I sometimes also copy media/photos and media/videos too .. so I'll always have access to my historic images and videos shared by contacts.
3) Whatsapp, every 2-3 weeks, behave erratically. I may open a message notification from the drawer and whatsapp takes 15-20 seconds to open that chat! I may open a picture in a group (MAINLY in groups) and it would take 15-20 seconds to open. It opens half way, device is "laggy", and after 15-20 image is fully viewable.
Same laggy activity (for both facebook and whatsapp) happened over at my old nexus 5 making me believe I actually had faulty hardware. Now its 1plus2.
Not a lot of rooted apps, other than the obvious (Titanium, SuperSU, Call Recorder - which is currently disabled).
Sorry for the long post, I lack a potato for you. Will be glad for any thoughts.

V20 / H990 - Business and Private - One Device!?

Hello erverybody,
I am looking for a solution to use both things on the phone at the same time (Business and Private).
The Problem is to separte the contacts and mails so i wish a similar solution as Samsung my knox / secure Folder.
i have read some small News about LG Gate on the web that this will provide similar functions...
But i can't finde the App on my Phone or in the LG Smart World
at this time i give a try for 'Nine' but this solution is not the best...
Than i will not Sync the Buisiness contacts to my private contacts and so i can see the buisiness contacts of my Exchange account in the Nine App.
This works good but the incoming Phone calls on the Business Sim Card will not identify.

If you have root you could enable "mutiuser guest mode" which allows another user to use this device and it is totally seperate access. When you add another user it will walk yoi through the setup wizard again, just like when you first setup your v20.
I can't remember if it can share apps, I think thats optional and has to be set using the primary account.
If you have root you can flash the option to "enable" it here
If you find this or any posts be sure and hit the thanks button on the bottom left. Only saying this because it looks like, by your post count, you are starting to be more active in discussions.
Thank you Stangedriver for you're replay!
But i have found another pefect solution for this case for free and without root rights
The Solutions is "Android Enterprise " based on the Samsung Knox System, here you can creat a Work Container
with seperated Apps and Contacts. The Trial or Demo for Android Enterprise is completely sufficient for this case
- The phone can identify the incoming calls from both Adressbooks
- You can install a second WhatsApp account without a other help app such as parallel system
More infomations you can find here: https://www.android.com/intl/en_uk/enterprise/management/

Bootloop / Rebooting when WiFi is turned on?

Hi Folks,
3 nights ago for the 2nd time only, I connected to the Internet with WiFi and I noticed some apps were being updated. Somewhere along the way Automatic Updates was reset from Off to Via Wi-Fi only. It stopped on the third.
apps_Packages info is reporting the following 3 apps, in descending Date and Time order, as being updated but they still appear listed in the screen for App Updates which is accessed from the Update Center listed on the screen for About Phone.
LG Account
RemoteCall Service
LG Mobile Switch
My intention was to to look at LG SmartWorld to see what Dark Themes they have to offer before disabling this app. I would like a System Wide theme with Black Text on a Grey or Dark Grey background.
Are themes an inherent feature of Launchers that are automatically applied to all apps?
Not too long afterwards the phone Rebooted and this would happen again after 2 or so minutes each time after I entered my PIN and started checking settings etc.
I turned off WiFi and the rebooting stopped.
I noticed afterwards that less RAM is being used by the System.
Same thing started happening again the following morning when I turned Wi-Fi on again.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Have I possibly disabled something that is required for WiFi to function correctly or for apps to be able to properly communicate with the Wi-Fi processes?
I had previously used the Force stop button for apps such as Gallery, Weather, My Places, Email, Exchange, QuickMemo+ etc.
There does not appear to be a Software Update to Oreo 8.0 available but the following apps are listed as having updates available. Do they need to be updated first in order for the system to "properly" check for a Software Update?
Email
Home & app drawer
LG Account
LG Keyboard
LG Mobile Switch
QuickMemo+
RemoteCall Service
Weather
What I would like to achieve is to have everything disabled as much as possible before removing the SIM Chip from my old phone and installing it into this one.
The following Apps, I want disabled, but keep appearing in the lists of Running Services and Cached Processes even after I have used the Force stop button and after every Reboot.
Email
FmService (Can this be replaced by a Third Part app?)
Gallery
My Places
QuickMemo+
RemoteCall Service
Weather
Weather Service
I want the following disabled also.
Exchange
LG Account
LG Backup
LG Health
LG Keyboard (after installing AnySoftKeyboard)
Is the only way to ensure this, without loading another ROM, to use ADB (Android Debug Bridge) and uninstall the Apps? I am using MX Linux.
I have seen various Debloat lists on this forum and there is some useful information provided via the following page.

For example, in the Google.sh list the following is noted.

My phone is using com.android.captiveportallogin - Version 7.0 (24). The Disable button is disabled for this app.
Which apps should not be uninstalled with the approach I am taking to mitigate privacy concerns?
For example, is it safe to uninstall the standard Contacts (com.android.contacts) and Contacts Storage (com.android.providers.contacts) apps or are they required by some of the Third Party apps, for Contacts, in order to function properly?
Can the Messaging (com.android.mms) and Phone (Call services - com.android.phone) apps be uninstalled and replaced by Third Party apps such as QKSMS and Simple Dialer?
My current Home Screen (Home & app drawer - com.lge.launcher2) had a Time and Date and Weather widget but, even though I have removed it, the Weather apps still appear in the lists for Running Services and Cached Processes after every Reboot.
Checking the Uses permissions list of apps_Packages info reveals that the Home & app drawer has references to Email, FormManager and Weather.
Could the Email, FormManager and Weather apps be prevented being used by using a different Launcher? Which Launcher?
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/com.vincent_falzon.discreetlauncher
Which Weather apps are recommended as a replacement?
I also want to prevent all the Offers (Advertisements) I keep receiving from my current Service Provider via SMS.
Can this be done using the SIM Toolkit?
Is the SIM Toolkit an app that should not be uninstalled?
Should I do a Factory Reset and start again? If so, will I need to disable, again, all the Gulag (Google) apps that I previously disabled with the Disable button?
Which of the methods on the following page is the best to use?
How to hard reset an LG G5
According to the following page, "If a pattern, PIN, etc. is or has ever been set up on the device, Google account sign-in is required during initial setup."
I am using a PIN but a Google Account has never been configured for the phone.
LG G5 - Factory Data Reset (Powered Off) | Verizon
Here's how to factory / hard reset your LG G5 if the screen freezes or call, app, audio or sync issues occur and the device won't start up.
www.verizon.com
If I do a Factory Reset should I attempt to have the App Updates done before starting to disable any other apps?
What other information could I provide that would help to pinpoint the cause of this problem?
Thanks, M.

Huawei y5 prime(2018) google account sign in problem

My sister broke the screen of her Huawei Y5 prime(2018), after replacing the screen from a repair shop she could not sign in to any google apps(playstore, maps, facebook etc)
I search a bit about this issue, from what I understand the issue is because of US ban.
Phone specifications:
Name- Huawei y5 prime 2018
Android version- 8.1
Android security patch level- April 2020
google apps were pre istalled and were working before. Apps are still there but showing a sign in error.
My goal:
Using google apps and others without sign in issue.
Now what can I do? Watched some videos on youtube those suggests bypassing google account. But those videos are quite old and requests factory reset. Reset is not the issue but if the method shown in the yt video does not work(methods also vary from video to video) the phone will be stuck in phone set up.
Any help/suggestions will be vary appreciated. <3 (Pardon my English, I am not fluent in this language)
Have you checked other Google apps like Gmail? Are they working or require you to sign in? Either way, I would suggest you sign out and back into your Google account if you have come this far.
How-to:
Open Settings and tap on Sync to find a list of all the accounts you have added to your phone. Select Google here.
Tap More at the bottom of the screen and select Remove account.
To add Google back, go back to the previous screen and at the bottom, tap on Add account and follow the on-screen instructions.
