How to change Android OS language viewed on screen, that is, English to Korea? - Xiaomi Redmi 8A Questions & Answers

Hello,
I am a beginner in Android OS.
I have a Xiaomi Redmi note 7 mobile and I built new image from MIUI source code for this mobile.
But I can't change OS language viewed on screen
On where can I insert or remove any language on MIUI source code?
What options must I use for this?
To find right way, I wandered Internet for about 1 week.
But I can't go even one step because I don't know at all.
From where I must start?
And how?
Help me, please!
More and More Detail...
Thank you.

If you don't want to flash any custom rom, you can try using app called morelocale 2 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale&hl=vi
After install, using adb, enter the following command:
Code:
adb devices
adb shell pm grant jp.co.c_lis.ccl.morelocale android.permission.CHANGE_CONFIGURATION
Now you can use morelocale 2 to change language. If the display language is not what you expect, then the app itself doesn't support that language.

It depends on which rom of your phone. I have a Fujitsu F 04G and i need to use adb to grant permission to the app so it can change location.

Right, regardless of the two posts stating that Android is basically Linux being technically correct, you will find very few shell commands that actually work. Of the ones you do find, most of the switches and options will not work. The commands mentioned by xriderx66 are ADB commands, and you may have better luck concentrating on those. The phone does not have a full shell, it only has busybox, which is a stripped down version of a shell with most popular shell programs built in. The busybox on the phones are highly stripped down even for busybox. In fact this phone is the only shell I have ever used that does not even recognize the command switches for ls.
Here is an ADB tutorial.

Root for Android Wear Emulator

Hello guys! I know it's useless, but anyway, we(@MrBIMC and @r3pwn) crafted root-script for Android Wear!
Download and unzip archive, go to the folder with unpacked data and execute the script:
Code:
sh wear-root.sh
*Note that you'll have to re-run this script everytime you reboot emulator*
Enjoy!

Can u give me proper steps to root ?
Update : ROOTED
Q
@MrBIMC
why should i root it?
is there any app for it to need root access?
or any feature we can access after root?
:good:
I can only imagine what kind of apps Developers will make for rooted smartwatches. We will have to wait and see what wear offers without them first...

I'm with you. Although there may not be much of a need at the time I can see this come in handy when I go and pick up a Wear device and start tinkering. I can already think of a few uses for it. And you know what? Even if I fail, it's future proofing. Who knows what the future may bring with Wear devices and their restrictions/Wear skins?

ok no problem. the problem is that the file package (com.example....) depends on your apk file. So you can do this:
-download this application for windows: apk tool for wear from xda
-connect to your phone
-find in the list the name of your fleksy package (com.syntellia....)
-write it in the adb command. (example: adb shell ime enable "yourpackage"/.Fleksy )

Can't remove Facemoji keyboard with ADB: failure -1000

Hi,
I've successfully removed all miui and android bloat with the ADB tool, which is fantastic without root.
But I cannot remove the Facemoji keyboard from Xiaomi. It gives failure -1000.
Any idea what it means?
I also tried using the hidden menus for miui app in the play store but also there the uninstall is 'unsuccessful'.
Is there any way to remove it still, without rooting the phone ?
Using Xiaomi redmi note 8t, latest android version update.
Same For me. No one have any idea?
An IME is installed as a system-app and/or system-privileged-app, means you need root rights to uninstall it.
You will need root for this method:-
1) Disable it using adb shell:
pm disable-user com.facemoji.lite.xiaomi
2) Next, use a root file manager app (I used Fx), and navigate to System(Root)/data/app/ and find facemoji package. Verify by opening the folder and checking if base.apk exists in the folder. Delete this package folder.
3) Reboot.

Here's a simple trick to remove it.

Can you please confirm that root access is required to uninstall Facemoji Emoji Keyboard for Xiaomi? I tried using adb commands and Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tool but it didn't work. Any help is very much appreciated.

How To Guide Call recording working in GT 2 pro ( no root )

Finally i found a method to record call on realme gt 2 pro global gdpr version, who is persistent at boot. No root, no bootloader unlock.
Step one : install setedit from play store and add op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc with 1 value to global settings. You have to give Setedit write secure rights with adb
Step two : install phone apk below.
That's it. Start Google dialer and make a call. Still works after reboot.
Not working : automatic call recorder, you have to press record button when you're in call.
Notice: if you don't see record button in Google dialer , is normal, just press back button to see realme dialer.
This should work on all color os 3 device.
Recorded call are in internal memory / music/ recordings/ call recordings folder.
ENJOY !!
No working... No see
Which apk needs to be installed for step two?
NVM I figured it out
Not working, it has changed the dialer but instead of recording button I have a "contacts" button and when I press it nothing happens.
Please uninstall phone from installed apps and install again.

Same here, I've added the option in the system table maybe that's why it is not working
Yes, you must provide write secure rights for setedit with adb to edit in global.
Updated first post with that.

By default, for your protection, Android prevents you from modifying the SECURE and GLOBAL tables. If you have Android Jellybean or later, you can remove this protection from an ADB shell using the command "pm grant by4a.setedit22 android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS". On earlier versions, you can only remove this protection on a rooted device by installing SetEdit to the system partition.
All working flawless now I can confirm that

It worked, thanks!
Now it's confirmed to work and we must think how to enable automatically record for all calls. People who said not working without knowing, please edit your post.
In setedit ...you know what need change for active the volte ?
Thank you very much it's working for me!
PS for those unfamiliar with SetEdit can also use this in adb after disabling permission monitoring:
adb shell settings put global op_voice_recording_supported_by_mcc 1
Just must be applied after every restart ( that is what i read )
Nice post, thanks for sharing. Any solution for Xiaomi Redmi Note 10S, Global ROM MI?
Also working on the regular gt2
