I bricked my new box Tanix TX6S - Allwinner H616 - Android 10 - 4GB/64GB
I wanted to activate the NavBar editing the build.prop - but something went wrong.
Now i got a bootloop and cannot more boot to system. Only i can go to the stock recovery, but i dont have a firmware image to burn it on card with Phoenix Cardburning Tool.
Already contacted Tanix, but no answer (chinese new year?).
Somebody has this firmware?
or can make a backup in the stock recovery tool, so i could try to restore my system with this file in my stock recovery? Is there any possibility?

Nobody can help, on Tanix HP there is nothing. I think very bad from Tanix side to buy this box without offering the firmware image...

is there no custom firmware for the h616 boxes? I just got a box but the UI sucks and is laggy, i'd like to change it anways .

Also got this. There's no way to get Android TV on this, is there? I was happy that this came with Android 10 but Netflix isn't working, HBO isn't working. I don't know what the hell is wrong with it.

Hi, I have the same box tx6s , in some programs like Cinema HD the controls on upper bar doesn't work with remote. are you guys experiencing such issue. I thought may be the firmware version has got the bug. if any body have it working then can you please let me know, what version of firmware you are running on. or if there is any fix for that. I can get is working only by using mouse.

no I didn't mean the status / notifications bar. if you install cinema HD app the remote doesnt work top bar where you got the search button and drop down menu for genre
I am having same issue with RedBox tv app as well the top bar doesn 't work with remote.
I mean top margin of the screen area. I am also running same image (Tanix-Box_com-TX6s_android10_20200730), did some boosting by disabling unecessary apps from startup.
box is running ok, I enabled CEC feature so now my samsung tv remote also works well with the box.
Did anyone manage to do anything with the firmware?
Mine is just an expensive paperweight. Netflix does not work. Nor HBO. Nor my provider TV app. I can't use it for anything and it sucks.

I did some modifications, removed youtube as it comes with ads.
installed all-in-one to disables lots of unnessary apps running in the background.
installed smart youtube tv without ads, cinema hd and other useful apps, it works fine after disabling all junk apps running in the background.

Does anyone have a Miracast apk that works with a S912 box, or can you pull the apk from your amlogic box. I got the Leelbox Q3 (S912/2GB ram dual wifi) but the Miracast app isn't included and not available for download on their website. I want to use the box as a Miracast receiver, not a sender. Thanks
Update: have contacted leelbox support this morning, waiting for a reply. In the meantime I did find a miracast.apk in an update for a for a himedia A5 box and sideloaded it and its working. Version 2.0.20160324, no idea if this is current but I was able to play video from my Win10 laptop via miaracst.
So far I'm impressed with the Leelbox Q3 S912 2/16 box. Its basically a barebones system, minimal lag, good wifi speeds, will keep tinkering. If you guys have any suggestions or ideas please let me know. My goal is to turn this device into a Miracast/Widi wireless display adapter for Windows 10 laptops and Android phones in a conference room. We have a Microsoft adapter now but its too laggy with video and none of the EZcast dongles and other display adapters are working any better.
Edit: people keep sending me pm about this. To get the miracast apk I downloaded himedia A5 update from here on a PC then browsed to system -> app -> Miracast folder and pulled the apk and put it on the box with a flash drive

look man just install airpin pro apk reciever on box and the cast apk on the phones and the pc version / desktop version on windows then connect to common wifi network and they will be able to share screens or cast video etc etc

hi, do you have any Custom Amlogic rom that will work with this divice ?
I own the Bqeel 2019 Android 8.1 TV Box Y4 MAX / Amlogic S905X2 Quad Core / 4G DDR4+64G eMMC / Dual WIFI 2.4/5.8G + 100M LAN / tv box Bluetooth 4.0 / USB 3.0/ HDMI 2.1 /4K Smart TV Box .
I have tried many custom roms and none of them seem to work in the correct manner. I am able to use the latest USB burning tool but lot of these custom roms will flop on me after the install process. I feel like there is something usually wrong with the WIFI side. if it is not a wifi problem, then it is the remote control.
I have yet to find a custom rom where I can load and then use the device the way it is suppose to be. I want the remote to work correctly. Keep in mind that I do have a direct Ethernet connection for this device.
I have contacted the original manufacturer hoping that they can send me the original default firmware.
Back to the topic, i am interested in the best, the latest, and the one the works the most for this device. All solutions have failed for me thus far.
ps: i will re try the following .img files that I was able to obtain from FreakTabs
- XTM_ATV_X96_4_4 (this one will not connect to the internet directly. it needs a cell phone or tablet, so i can transfer over the Wifi and Google Account settings. For some reason, this is impossible because it keeps asking for my WIFI password which i have entered many times in the device);
- Poison_S905x2_V2.0 (this one is easy to install but after the install, the GUI seems stuck. I can't open up any apps, and the weather icon is always spinning).
Again, i have tried maybe 5 different custom roms from freaktabs (i am sure they are posted here) and none of them seem to work.

I have the same problem.
I have tried many custom roms but nothing seems to work. Wifi and Bluetooth issues is a problem.
I too need STOCK firmware. I have extra device that is not been messed around with but i do not know how to make back up from stock rom. If i can make stock up rom with one app, i will do it ASAP and perhaps share it.
Edit: So I am able to obtain a back up of the stock firmware via Twrp from my second device, but it is not compatible with the other Bqeel system. All i see is the Bqeel Boot Logo.
I am still able to boot into recovery, and i can also install other custom roms (those custom roms stink).
I still need the orgiinal stock firmware in .img or i need a custom rom that actually works really great.
For those who want to purchase this device, you can but do not mess with custom roms. Just remove default apps and enjoy the default OS.
I contact the seller of my box (bqeel y4 max 4/64go) today
he gonna send me the stock firmware Asap.
I 'll share it when i 'll recieve it.

I did the same thing. They sent me the stock firmware. the device works great now! there is another hiccup though. For usb burning tool, you will need some license files. when you load the .img file in the program, it will not accept it. You need the license files (just transfer them in the directory in usb burning tool)

it is due for an update but works as is. I also have a SlimBox ROM that works for the Bqeel but I'll have to upload that to my Mega folder and share the link.

I've just bought a Huawei Y5p (DRA-LX9) with native Android 10.1.0.122, and trying to install GMS on it.
The Lz App doesn't work (error message when clicking on the icon), and I suppose that it is due to my firmware version. So is it possible to downgrade the firmware to a supported version of Android 10? And of course how to do such a thing ... (tuto or video)

Google TV is simply a launcher and you can install it on any Android TV box running Android 9 Pie.
The internet is full of instructions. I tried it a few months ago and it wasn't waorking in my region

It's not just google TV, we are still on A9 where as A10 is already compatibile with amlogic someone needs to port it from AOSP to ATV

i did try a quick port of the google tv firmware (i have a full factory firmware i think) it failed to boot, i also tried on another android 10 rom (for s905x) and it failed to boot, i think its due to VNDK version (the s905x a10 was patched to use VNDK 28, GTV is looking for VNDK29, Also its probably missing alot from vendor partition, i haven't had the time to look into it further though

In theory, we would need to make a GTV10 port, since it runs on an Amlogic chip, but in practice this is complicated by the drivers of the different chips. You will need a ROM for Android 10 Amlogic with root and start installing apks one by one until you see the results. In another thread the Android TV SO apks and the GTV layer were published, it would be done in the way that it would make us reinstall our system about 100 times.
I had posted this URL in another thread, its working A10 (AOSP not ATV) on s912 chipset.
@aidanmacgregor Well google play is secondary, can you port this ROM it works for s912

I think you can make the img file using the same amlogic kitchen. It's called something like dump2img but I'm not sure it will boot because the firmware is Google certified

I tried the Aidans ROM V8 firmware, works great, but no wifi and bt.
You need to find a ROM with working WiFi or make a TWRP backup of vendor partition of the original firmware and post it here.

Is there something in particular that you didn't like about the stock firmware?
If the eon tv app auto launching was bothering you, the sdmc app(s) that force this can be disabled, which turns the device into stock android tv. Or, perhaps you couldn't get past the code screen at first bootup?

One ott provider in my country using basically the same sdmc box but with a different WiFi chip does a nasty thing when your contract expires. If you reset the box after the contract expiration, the box is completely useless. When it boots, you are left with an info screen with the serial number of the box and a number to call. And you can't get past it.
Hello! I have SDOTT0202 device and I did something stipid - I did a factory reset.
Now, each time when I turn on the device - it tries to setup EON and I can't exit from EON Activation Screen and I can't use my device.
How could I restart it in recovery mode? I tryed with simultaneosly pressing power button and volum down button and while keep pressing them - turn on the electricity, but this doesn't work for me
Please help me to bypass this screen and to use my device for another applications.

The wifi+bt combo module in the eon version (as pictured above in post #8) is the ap6398s, which uses the broadcom bcm4359.
I have original firmware for a bunch of dv8519 and dv8535 devices, but I wouldn't suggest anyone flash any of them before verifying that the device tree and bootloader match. In order to do this, you'd have to dump at least the bootloader and the device tree blob from your device before you overwrite it with anything else.
There are at least 2 slightly different versions of the EON box.
The one from Serbia has AP6356 but the one from Bulgaria has a different one.
Slimbox works fine with wifi on the Serbian version but not on the Bulgarian one.
I asked a user from Bulgaria to open his box and check the wifi module but there was no follow-up from him.
I have original fw dump from the Serbian version.

Specifically, which device do you have and which wi-fi module does it have?
If you haven't overwritten the original firmware on the device yet, make a backup first using the AML Dump tool as shown in post #4 of this thread.
