you need to wipe data if you switch to full Android.
fastboot -w
otherwise you have old data with bad Android Tv things inside.

you can install and try what you want.

the + sign mean that you can install supersu versions >= 2.67. In reality are working all SuperSu system less that patch automatically the boot image.
In Marshmallow you need a patched boot image that Supersu do automatically, this is the difference from the previous Lollipop firmwares.
If TWRP recovery ask, not install the old supersu, not mount the system, and not inject multirom stuff.

Yes the L version. I not tested the newer version, but i assume should work.
I not install the TWRP recovery, i only boot it with the command:

i also tested many videos format expecially 4K HEVC H.265, work very well.
audio, passthrough, webcam, mic, bluetooth etc. all tested.
kodi, netflix , google movies, youtube, chrome all passed my tests.
i flashed the device one million times and installed root 2 millions times, all ok the bootloader seem solid now, but i boot TWRP recovery and i not install it, for my precaution.

All the videos HEVC H.265 4K that i have tested work very well. And this is related to the firmware.
I not have a 4k Netflix account, i can't test, but if works or not work 4k on netflix can be only for a protection reason of Netflix and this is not of my interest.
For Netflix and 4k, my suggestion is run the Netflix TV app, use app settings xposed module and set immersive and 320 dpi. So the app have the same values of the stock firmware. Instead if the protection is in another place, i don't have the 4k account to test.
4K videos work wonderful on this firmware.

This isn't anything big.

That's a problem of the audio files in my MOD clashing with the ones in Divinebeats.
Flash Divinebeats remover or dirty flash OOS 3 again and you'll be good to go.
Those custom Viper audio might contains additional files that was installed together buried in /system . It could be the cause why some people still have issues after flashing the fix

i downloaded the .zip from my mac and then put it the storage and tried to flash it but i got this message "flashing failed" (something like that)
i updated OOS 3.0 the dirty way... maybe this is the problem.
i'm trying to update again with wipe and everything and then i will try to flash the .zip for the bluetooth again... we'll see.

I downloaded it twice, once from mega and the other from google drive.
The recovery is the one that was installed by OP i guess. it is not TWRP that, i'm sure !

I wanted to try this os but got the following error while trying to flash the rom:

I downloaded the ROM in the link given above, which is for Huawei Honor 4/4x. I do not see a version for Ascend G7.
Not quite sure what to do at this point.

EDIT: I realized it is about using the twrp recovery instead of philz. The problem I am having now is that I cant seem to get Philz working on my ascend g7. When I flash the philz recovery image over adb, and then try to access the recovery with volume up and power button, just a black screen comes and nothing happens. ( I realized that flashing process of the philz image is a lot faster than flashing twrp. I can say it is almost instant. Considering the sizes are just about the same for both image files, it makes me question whether it actually writes the recovery partition)
Any fix for OTG and GYROSCOPE ???
You need to flash lollipop stock and when you done do a hard reset and then do a DLOAD UPDATE after finish this, go ahead and flash your recovery philz touch and you done, don't ask me why you have to do all this, but is the only way I found and it works!!!

I've been experiencing some issues with this ROM, the Music app stops playing or skips music by itself sometimes it gives me an error saying that the song can't be played, I never experienced this before on any other of the ROM available for the G7 this error happens in all of the music players I had including the stock one and the google play Music, to me this is the fastest and most stable ROM so its a shame :\ its the only thing bothering me, I downgraded and it appears to be working perfectly

Yeah sometimes it skips songs randomly and when I get a notification sometimes the sound won't play, I really don't know why this happens

I have that same problem. generally there is distress in the sound.

Edit : Video recording does not work.
I adapted this rom to work on my g7-ul20, after much work porting the kernel sources and adding my dtsi files and build a kernel and a dt.img i packed it into a new boot.img and it worked but all the roms i adapted have two major bugs
1. The camera not working, the app not even showing up
2. The sim card is not detected
Please, i would appreciate if anyone could help me fix it these are the only two bugs am facing in all the g7 roms i adapted.

The ROM :fingers-crossed: is working fine even after uninstalling core or system apps there is no problem at all, :laugh:not any kind of ads or miui apps notification, completely boltware free with pre modification features as for users need.
Also, mi-globe.com provide weekly updates.
Just want to know this source of k20pro reliable??? Till now, am satisfied with their miui 9.8.12 running on Android Q without ads, boltware, notifications and mods too.

Yaa I think it will work as this ROM is based on xiaomi.eu with modification
been using these ROMs for a long time now. Also 9.8.12 now and its flawlessly running. Bluetooth Audio is not a problem at all

Yes it works fine with most of the apps. In my case, it's not worked on WhatsApp or Gmail with Facebook or Snapchat and other apps like Flipkart, olx, paytm, maps, antutu benchmark, system apps remover it works fine so global dark mode mostly work perfectly without issue.
Twrp encrypted or decrypted??? Don't know how know about encrypted or decrypted twrp and not get ur point clearly but Am on OrangeFox recovery it works fine before installing and after installing the ROM no issue till now. Also, please explain about twrp encrypted & decrypted simply.

No boltware,no ads, no pop notifications,no data sending to xiaomi servers, even uninstalling system apps working fine without issue. Big points, it runs on Android Q and provide weekly updates.

i have beta 9.8.8 from china not xiaomi.eu or mi globe and everything works fine in android Q, sometimes after a night i get deepsleep issue but a restart fixes it (i think it happens when i leave battery saver for the night) camera has some new features, night photos are much better and bluethooth works great. the only problem i've encountered was the deepsleep sometimes and 1 app that doesn't work (a portuguese bank app).

I dont have access on my internal memory via TWRP.
I just download this rom via mi-global.
And it works fine over my TWRP.
Dont flash 75hz and 81hz too laggy.
I need a newer rom for my RN2 currently on stock which is rooted etc... I would like at least android 6 but prefer 7..I need to update due to several of the main apps I use staying they are no longer supporting adroid 5 and below. But at this time don't see the need to buy a new phone when the rn2 is in perfect condition.
So am looking for a rom that is fully wprking with good battery life.. So what can folks recommend??
Please provide a link to what you are using and a note about which recovery you are using..

Xposed on this rom works, i don't use Gapps, i use MicroG. I think this rom does not contain Gapps. If the rom doesn't contain Gapps, just download and install. Personally, I recommend MicroG, it uses less battery, but you need to be able to fix it, there are problems.

Camera works, I recommend google camera app or One Plus Camera. You can download these applications from apkmirror.com.

Ok so I flashed your recommended rom almost everythng works fine... BUT no matter what audio player I try NOTHING will play audio files. Stock one will not either... Sound is working fine for everything else such as video players and games etc.. Yet will not play audio files and gives the error ! sorry this play does not support this type of file"...
Have load NEW mp3 files on to internal and external storage and still same error...
WTF is wrong??? any ideas folks?
So am now on a rom that can't play mp3s and gives the error mentioned above.... Wahooo!!!!!!!!!! great.... back to stock then as no one seems to have any ideas about fixing it.

I used this rom and didn't have this problem. You may need to grant read and write permissions for external storage. Soon I will flash this rom and configure it according to my needs, if I encounter any problems I will describe them and solve them. I used Dolby Atmos and Viper FX on this rom, I had no problem playing mp3 files.

where do I get viper and atmos???? Read write is granted was the first thing I checked... BUt the issue happens regardless even on INTERNAL storage.

All roms with android 7.1.2 have many bugs. That's why I use roms with android 5.1.1.
