[28.02.2012] Google Music Services outside the U.S. and get the free music

A few days ago I managed to activate Google Music although not living in the U.S..
All we had to use a proxy service Hide my IP (trial version is enough) for the activation only. Since that time I used the service without problems.
After this you can upload up to 20.000 songs on the Google servers and listen on the phone by using Google Music from the market (use Google Enabler whit an USA operator setting) by streaming if you have a WI-FI network available or a good data plan, or make available for offline playing.
The second interesting thing that you can acces you music from any computer that is connected to the internet (I have a notebook, a netbook, a PC and the good old DEFY and... for me is very important to have is all in one place).
The only downside is that you do not have access to Google Music Market.
To put songs on the server you need Google's Music Manager you can find on the main page or the attachments.
If you have questions I will respond as quickly as I can.
Update 28.02.2012
I managed to "buy" all the free songs.
Whit the proxy program active I introduced a valid credit card number and a valid adress from US (search on google about both).
The first time I have an error that my credit card was not accepted but after that i could add all the 50 free song to my Google Music library.
If you want another program for the proxy PM me.
Hit the Thank button if you like it.
How do you mean for activation only? I activated it from a proxy. It asked me to confirm my account as I logged in from a different location. When I try to go to music.google.com without the proxy, it tells me I need to be in the USA.

Very strange. I have activated for me and my friend and it worked.
I attached a print screen to confirm it.
I found something. The market appears my phone is AT & T network America.
And my friend as he appears the same.
I hope i am not the only lucky guy. That's why I posted here.
If anyone has succeeded please post.
Ok, tried it again. You need a proxy with fully working scripts as I didn't get the accept licence window.
Now I can open it without proxy. Using the program you suggested worked. You can buy songs if you use a proxy. I tried to buy the free song but apparently you need to have a credit-card in your wallet for 'account verification'. It's a bit fair, but Y no paypall...

Yeah, i don't want to give my credit card details to Google. Can't trust them they already know too much. It's a shame we can't use paypal
Sent from my 1Ghz CM7 + CM9 Defy
The music uploaded by the user is max 20.000 songs.
I wrote the first post that does not work and music store, only to upload a large number of songs that you can access them wherever you are and I think it's cool.
It is worse than that. They want a US credit card to let you buy Music on Android Market. If you try to use a credit card from another country, you get a prompt to add another credit card to your account.
Yes, I know, music market is not working, I wrote in first post. Google only accepts payments only by card and because it is a U.S. only service card must be in U.S..
I personally have made payment whit a credit card in the Market for some applications and had no problems. I trust google
I can't see songs on my defy
Thanks! using hide my IP I just uploaded my music to Google Play but I can't see it on Google Music Play app on my defy phone, what I have to do?

[Q]Can I install Marketplace on an unlicensed device?

Hi
I'm looking to buy the "Scroll extreme" android tablet (from eBuyer) - it has ICS but it DOESNT have the marketplace (apparently it has to be licences by Google so it probably helps reduce the cost by not providing it)
I've heard that Marketplace can be installed using an APK download however, I dont know if anyone has actually tried or if its just an assumption.
Does anyone know if Marketplace can be installed on such a device and will it work OK?
I've read another (unrelated) post somewhere that implied it might not allow you to log in if the device is not registered - although its possible I just misinterpreted that.
Any help appreciated,
Thanks
Rob
Usually on non licensed tablets with stock rom, google market doesn't work. But acording to some forums the Scroll Extreme does come with google play, but it's hidden.
"You can access play store straight away out of the box. Just use search, type play and you will see the Play Store. Click that and you're there.
I used ESFilemanager to locate the Play Store then created a shortcut, so I have it on the desktop."

You could try to flash gapps for ics

I purchased the Extreme last friday and mine came with Play store out of the box
purchase
if i may ask where did you purchase the scroll extreme from ?
Here Try one
Here try my market apk
Sorry for digging up and old post, but I was wondering if there was an answer to the original question in this thread. Is there a way to get google play store to work on unlicensed devices?
I recently purchased an Ematic Multi-Touch 7", and noticed it didn't have the play store. After transferring the apk through usb and installing it, I found that the app worked for a moment before shutting down with the message "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped." After searching around a bit, I found out about the nature of the licensing issues, but no real solutions. I suppose I could try and find all of the apps I would normally want to use and side load them, but it would be nice to be able to avoid that and use the play store proper.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I thank you for your time and consideration.

Applications I never dowloaded

First off,
Sorry moderators If I choose the wrong subforum to post
Today, I was warned by Google about some behavior with my account and suggested to change my pass. I thought was due my 3G experiments and new IP etc.
Later, testing everything was alright I see a Samsung tablet added to my Play account on November 22, 2012, but don't have one. Only had Motorola and all the time.
Then, I saw my Google account was accessed from Russia but also from United States. And I'm not living there, neither two countries. I see US was the first external Country added to my activity report along November, and Russia was added on December.
The strange thing is Gmail not displaying any strange IP, only local IPs from my computers and phone.
Minutes ago, checking what was download from Market I've found lot applications I never installed. Adults and Games applications.
Do you think this can be because some android apps?
I never downloaded from other sources than market but used custom roms form this lovely forum.
Do you think it's some kind of market problem when devices are identified?
I would like to remove that apps not downloaded by me and the device itself. But seems there is no way to do that.
Any ideas will be really appreciated.
First of all, I would recommend you stop experimenting with your IP . Secondly, you can remove the downloaded apps from the Play Store list but it's a time-consuming process.
1. Open Play Store.
2.Press the Menu button and select My Apps(Phone) or click the Download icon(Tablet).
3.Click the All Tab.
4.Next to each app, there should be a cross or some other icon.
5.Click it and the app shall be removed from your download list.
6.Celebrate !
7.Hit thanks if it helped

Hi,
Thanks for the advice about IP. But this should not be a problem.
This probes how stupid become some companies within time. And we accept his stupidity.
How Google allows connections to your account form a different country than the one you're living?
Small companies have this security option by default.
Two steps verification is one option but not the final solution. This is basis 101. Now I know Facebook or Yahoo are a lot safe.
Now the problem is to remove from my account the android device I don't have.
Some friend says Facebook only needs a search engine to kill any players and seems he is right. I'm very disappointed by Google and unfortunately I have to stick with or move away to Apple.

Whoa man! No need to take such quick actions due to some small flaws Google allows the access because you were still using your phone which is synced to your Google account during the process of testing your 3G and changing IP.

Default app store?

I have a really annoying problem, and sorry if this is a trivially easy beginner's problem - we all have to start somewhere near the bottom - but I can't seem to find any useful information out in the wild, so I guess my best chance is to ask in a developer forum.
I have bought two phones in China - a Xiaomi MI 5 and a Huawei EVA-AL10 - and although I have managed to installed the necessary components to make google play work, they still keep opening the Xiaomi rsp Huawei app stores, when I download from within an app. Most recently I bought a dictionary - when I open it, it tries to download the relevant data files, but can't find them because it looks in the wrong app store. Is there any way of changing that default? It seems to be a system wide setting. It would be great if somebody could shed at least some light on this problem.
Long press on xiaomi/huawei app stores and go to app info
Scroll down and above permisions you will have a clear defaults button.Just click on it
Hope this solves your problem

Google map location

Hello friends,
A small glitch I found on my reno 10x, (pcm00) google map doesn't know my location and no matter what permission i gave to google map, it still does not auto locate and update my location.
When i was using nokia 7 plus (which i also bought in china), google map worked fine and were able to auto locate my location, as long I am using a vpn.
Normally this is not an issue since other local Chinese map apps work perfect, but i am travelling to Germany soon, so this gets me worry a bit.
I have not had a chance to try google map outside of China yet, and am wondering if this situation will remained even if im not in China.
Anyone else have this phone that is currently in a place with firewall-free internet access and can give me any conformation? Thanks, really appreciate it.

I'm using the same phone in the US. No vpn on AT&T. I don't have a problem with Google maps except that I can't turn on location history for timeline. Otherwise location works fine. I've used Google maps dozen of times for directions and no problems locating me.
