Unrooting i9300 non flashed rom(4.1.1),while retaining data?

Hey I recently rooted my i9300( 4.1.1) using odin and cf-root and now I realised I never used the benefits of rooting and it seems to do me more harm than good (No offense) .I've got tons of apps installed and backuped via titanium backup and I heard your can't restore the backup once you unroot as titanium backup requires root access.
So I was wondering if its possible to unroot and without losing date or getting ota update to 4.1.2 and losing the root that way without losing data?
Kies doesn't seem to work well for updates though it seems.
Thanks
I'm curious, what's the harm the rooting caused you?
You can press Full unroot in the SU app
well harm was probably the wrong word ,it's just I messed with titanium backup and I tend to factory restore my phone a lot because it would never connect to kies . I just wanted to use stock rom because it seems to just work ,actually the whole point was because I wanted 4.1.2 without losing data and I thought it could only be done if I unrooted and use the ota update on kies.
So is there anyways to get that update while retaining root and data?

[q] Temporary root? (to backup apps)

Hey guys,
I was looking to do the perm root via Hasoon2000's AIO tool but quickly discovered that it does a full wipe / factory reset in the process and I don't want to go through the process of setting everything up again if I can avoid it.
So, the question is: Is there a temporary root method yet I can use to run Titanium Backup and store my apps / data prior to unlocking bootloader / rooting?
I tried using the WeakSauce app but apparently it only works for the Verizon M8?
Thanks!

[Q] If I update to 314 firmware, do I lose root?

Hi,
I have a UK unbranded xperia z2 and just received notification that there is new firmware.
It says I can download it via wifi without connecting to a PC.
I have previously rooted the device without unlocking the bootloader. I am wondering - if I update the firmware over wifi will I lose root?
If so is rooting it again as easy as it was the first time? I think the first time I used easy rooter app
Thanks

Yes and Yes, you will loose root but rooting with your favourite root exploit should be identical procedure.

Thanks.
I just tried OTA update and it said it "could not verify" - after some research seems I have to remove root. But I dont want to have to wipe my phones data.
Is there a way to remove root without wiping data? In superSU, there is a "Full Unroot" option but will this actually remove root so I can update?
Flash the unbranded ftf for 314 UK, via flashtool, specifying no wipe for data and you should be OK although you'll have to reroot afterwards.

OTA update generally removes root. But you should be able to root again with the same procedure. The full unroot option in SuperSU does actually what it says and will fully unroot your device allowing you to update the firmware.
Just give it a try.
Hit thanks if it helped
