Google core apps compatibility - LG G8X ThinQ Themes, Apps, and Mods

I just watch LG v60 running Google core apps with official wide view support
It's compatible but seems not very optimized
There are few things I thought look better here
*YouTube, In landscape wideview, navigation button is on bottom, while the dual notch on the right is in immersive mode (not black blank space)
Do you guys get this new updated experience on v50 g8x v50s?

[No Root] [6.0] V10 Camera With G5 Round Corner Icon

So, basic post time. I have a G4, of course, and I hate the UX 4.0. Unfortunately, until Q3 of this year, we'll be dealing with MM 6.0 with the current skin that we have. So I decided to get a G5 theme so I can at least have the updated app icons. I, however, enjoy the 60 FPS recording quality that the V10 camera app has. But since it's not a system app, the theme doesn't replace it's icon and it's still the default square corner icon. So I played with the APK and replaced the icon with the new rounded corner camera icon from the G5 to match the theme.

nice but i was expecting black color. cause if you keep both cameras its same icon as G4 camera.. if using g6 theme

App-Scaling broken in Oreo

I'm on the unlocked V30 latest Oreo update 20e.
Is it just me or is App-Scaling not showing all of the apps? It's only showing a small fraction of all of the apps installed. I wouldn't mind except for one thing: When an app updates you often have to set it back to full screen again. Does LG have any plans to fix this?
Has anyone found a way around it? If I can find a way to force 18:9 ratio for all apps I will be happy.
I have the same issue, lots of apps are missing from the App Scaling list. I do a lot of gaming especially emulation and I really need to force some of them that do not have good support for 18:9 like mupen64plus fz to 16:9.

Most stable US998 firmware version?

Any one who has used almost every US998 firmwares and remember your experience with them?
I'm looking for a most stable, long-battery-life version despite the android version.
If you can recommend one, I would really appreciate.
By the way, there are 3 Magisk modules that I found help the battery last significantly longer: FDE.AI, Universal GMS Doze, Sysconfig Patcher. If you haven't tried them, please them a try.
US998 20h, the one right before the new Pie is extremely stable, fixes bugs, has all the Oreo camera improvements, etc.
If you've been following the V30 for the past two years, you know every new KDZ firmware of Oreo is better in stability and bug fixes than the one before. LG has done a good job with Oreo updates. So to me, sort of a silly question.
For instance US998 20f alone had this change log:
change log:
- DTS: X 3D stereo effect function has been added.
- New Always On Display options
- Selfie camera portrait mode
- Improved accessibility.
- Improved keyboard performance
- Improved the delay of keyboard input when installing multiple market apps at once.
- Photo display error in some apps since Google's latest security patch has been improved.
- Improved to keep app aspect ratio settings after app updates.
- Improved the phenomenon that fine lines are displayed on some screens when power saving mode is executed.
- Google Security Update has enhanced your phone's security.
Not to mention the further improvements which came with US998 20g and US998 20h.
_______
For Pie right now, LG doesn't have as good a record. But they are making progress with the most recent batch of Pie updates. Still, if you absolutely want most stable for US998 variant, the very last Oreo 20h is it for now.

Yeah, I own the 12 GB RAM model and often I consume all the available memory. Can you elaborate on improve background management? Kill more applications proactively?
We are looking to having android 12 urgently as we are testing android 13 on our pixel 6pro, not happy with software support from OPPO
maybe oppo is waiting for Android 12L to be released ? (for foldable devices)
I am sure they will rollout Android 12 soon as our device is the premium flagship for Oppo.

Yup that make sense
Just got PEUMoo_11_A.16... Still Android 11...
This bites as there are features that are available on Android 12 that WON'T work on Android 11...
Thought this was a flagship device...
I know that they're waiting for the version of Android that supports foldables but why haven't they upgraded us to 12 now.? Just as easy to update from 12 as 11...

Question Android 12 - Indian 2101 version , OnePlus Nord 2

Hey , did anyone install Android 12 (beta) for OnePlus Nord 2 given from "Oxygen Updater" apk ? It can be download full zip package and kudos for that the rollback Android 11 zip package (A19 vs) only for Indian version .
Name is OOS12 Open Beta 1 , not suitable for Pac-Man Edition .
Nope. I have the EU version Nord 2 and so I'm not going to mess with it. But I would have downloaded it in a hearbeat had they released it for the EU model.
Ok , me as well .
But here are some features we can expect :
OOS12 Open Beta 1 changelog (Nord 2)

There are also known issues in this build, which we have reproduced below for your convenience:
You might be unable to use Face Unlock in the dark after turning on Brighten screen in dim light through Settings.
Fortnite will crash when playing the game.
Additionally, OnePlus warns that "some features of the Pac-Man edition may disappear after upgrading this build", so you shouldn't install this beta if you own a Pac-Man edition Nord 2.
Although you may be hyped by OxygenOS 12 now being available for your device, do remember that this is beta software (as proven by known issues list) and that as such, you accept any risks by installing this update. Furthermore, you're expected to report bugs to OnePlus directly via community app. Do also mind that switching back to stable OxygenOS 11 at any point will require a full data wipe, so don't get excited and jump into OB1 without considering all its pros and cons.
The Nord 2 was released only in EU & India. Note that there's no link for EU yet. If you don't want to wait, you can crossflash to India from the app itself (just select the "India" device). However, we advise patience. We will update this article if OnePlus posts links for EU.
So another piece of **** software upgrade with general Android 12 additions. What a huge disappointment. They probably have the Indian version first because they've hired 1 Indian to make it compatible. As soon as I get a quiet moment, I'll probably custom ROM it and swap it out for a different brand before I install the beta garbage.
"There are also known issues in this build, which we have reproduced below for your convenience", For our convenience... great laughs were had.
Does anybody here have any hope at all for this phone in the coming future? Especially because the Nord 3 is already spotted **shakes my head**
