Problem with EFS and NAND backup

Hi guys,
I just got my phone back from service, it had a problem with the EFS partition (couldn't mount it, invalid argument). Until that, I had a NAND backup, and had the csc CNX, so I thought I should restore data from the nand (with CWM recovery 6.0.2.7). It all went ok, but when my phone rebooted, it couldn't connect to the network, the imei was ok, wifi ok. BTW, after the service, my csc was VD2.
So, the network wasn't working and I thought I should restore the efs folder. Still the same. Tried with restoring the efs partition and voila, now I'm at the beginning again (can't mount efs, invalid argument).
Before restoring from CWM, I tried flashing back my original stock FW with the csc CNX, but it wouldn't change, it remained VD2...
Any idea what could have happened?

Network no modem did you flash a modem did you read how to change CSC .
You need a service centre ask them to do it all .

Hm, so the network wasn't working because of the wrong CSC? Strange, it was working before the restore... No, I did not flash the modem, I only tried restoring the EFS, but I think you deserve a thanks

Corrupted backup, I think

Got a Note 4x Mido with twrp 3.1.1-0. Did a full backup, checked every box, and transferred it over to my laptop. Tried some custom roms and wanted to go back to my previous backed up rom. Did a wipe and transferred the backup back to my phone but when I tried to restore it EFS and Firmware were causing error, everything else worked fine, booted up the phone, no wifi, bluetooth, imei gone, provably hard to fix... Tried wiping in all kinds of ways but the EFS and firmware just don't want to be restored.
EFS throws:
Unable to find file system (first period).
Unknown restore method for '/efs2'
EDIT: Tried some different versions of twrp and it worked (only EFS)
Firmware throws:
extractTarFork() process ended with ERROR: 255
Thanks in advance for the help

TWRP Restore Puts Device in APX Mode

Hello, I made a TWRP backup of a good Xiaomi Mi3TD and proceeded to restore that backup on a completely identical Mi3TD but after the restore completes and I restart the phone, it enters into APX mode and I have to flash it with NVFLASH to get it working again but the restore I made will be gone.
What could be causing this? I backed up all the possible partitions and also restored all of them. TWRP doesn't throw any errors when restoring the backup. Please help me.

TWRP Backup & Restore HELP!

I'll try and keep this short and to the point, any other info you require to help me out i'll add.
My Z5c is running 32.4.A.1.54, unlocked bootloader and rooted using rootkernel which adds TWRP.
Straight after rooting and after initial setup of the phone I started TWRP and created a backup, all available partitions were selected and the back completed. I then copied it to my PC.
Anyway, no the problem. I was messing with the phone and then after every boot of the phone i kept getting some app crashes. No problem i thought i'll just restore my backup in TWRP. I selected to restore the system and data partion ONLY, then wiped cache & dalvik and rebooted.
It didn't reboot, just the sony logo then a loop back to the sony logo and then into TWRP again. What did I do wrong?
So i decided to restore all partitions except the TA one and that resulted in the same problem. So recover i just flashed stock with flashtool and all is well.
My question is regarding TWRP and restoring a backup. Which partitions do you have to restore? All of them? What is safe to omit when doing a restore?

The old TWRP in rootkernel had a backup problem if i remember correctly. Use a newer TWRP.
Thanks, i'll use 'your' TWRP from here.
