I currently have a Samsung galaxy A105F/DS-U3 and it supports treble and seamless update - a/b. I have searched and it has lineageOS , Paranoid android and ViperOS. I'm gonna try LineageOS 17.0 - which gives me Anddroid Q. I'll let you know if i find one for you.

You have the A10, which is a bit different than the A10s so it is most likely that any GSI that boots to your phone will not boot for mine. Besides, A10s does not have TWRP yet and A10 does

so this is what i did to root my A10s.
1. check what binary your phone is running I already updated mine so my phone is on Android 10 binary 6.
how to check your binary - goto setings-about phone-software info, check Baseband version so on my phone its A107FXXU6BTES the U6 indicates your binary some has U3 binary 3 or U5, S5 binary 5
once you determined your binary.
2. activate DEVELOPER OPTIONS then activate OEM UNLOCK
samfw.com/firmware/SM-A107F/XTC/A107FXXU6BTF
go to this website and download the appropriate firmware.
each will contain a BL, AP, CP, and Home_CSC.
3. once finished downloading unlock your bootloader just boot to download mode then there is an option to press and HOLD VOLUME UP to unlock bootloader then press volume up again. if it didn't reboot instantly press and hold volume up and down again just do it again until when you choose to unlockbootloader it will reboot instatly.
4. after unlocking bootloader just go through the entire process of setting up your phone keep the bootloader unlock, INSTALL Magisk manager, so yeah install magisk choose patch image then from your downloaded firmware remove the "MD5" at the end of the files so it will be AP_A107F.tar then choose the AP to patch hrough magisk
5. after patching copy the patched file to your PC extract it by WINRAR get the boot.img if its boot.img.lz4 it means patch was not sucessful
6. after getting the boot.img copy it to your phone again and patch again make sure to rename it boot.img from inside the generated patch file then compress it as TAR using 7zip
7. flash it through odin on AP section and there your magisk rooted.
sorry for the long post

I seem to get confused now as what to do next ''''Please could you give me full instructions ....Thank you

I have attempted to patch boot.img around 7 times unsuccessfully, I have the SM-A107F, can someone please send me the correctly patched boot image for my device, will be much appreciated.

Flash using ODIN or Magisk? If Magisk, how to install Magisk as it needs to go to fastboot mode? (as our device seems to be unable of going to fastboot mode)

Is there any way to root this phone? I would like to root just to edit the build.prop for the camera api in order to install the Gcam port ....

Do you mind to elaborate about the steps taken to get and patch boot image?
What I did is I grabbed the "boot_X-FLASH-ALL-8F02.sin" file, used UnSIN tool to convert it to "boot.img" and then Android Image Kitchen AIK to unpack and repack the image (this step is necessary on older Xperia phone, is that the case here?), then finally patch the repacked boot image using Magisk.
But when flashing the new patched boot image, I get a non functional touch screen and wifi. I was able to control the phone using ScrCpy tool to mirror the phones screen on my computer and control the phone from the window that appears on the computer. But since WIFI won't even turn on, I couldn't even verify that Magisk was working or not.
What is worse, is that if I tried to flash the original untouched Boot image SIN or the converted IMG, the phone still has non-working touch-screen and WIFI.
FlashTool by Androxyde and EMMA tools do NOT support this phone yet. I ended up using Newflasher tool to go back to stock (still unlocked bootloader) and everything works fine, but no root.
I have the US model I3223 btw.
Thank you kindly, awaiting your response.

After installing Magisk19.3 with TWRP, my phone stuck in bootloop and can not enter the recovery mode.
I tried to flash I4293_53.0.A.6.96_1318-2077_R1A.ftf (Factory ftf. downloaded from experifirm) with flashtool to solve this problem.
when I tried to create bundle, I found that I4293 did not show in the ID list.
I can't do anything about it.
Anybody can help me plz~~ I'm fresh in XDA and just try to root my phone first time :crying:
This phone cannot be rooted at this time due to the lack of the img.patch and no driever.

Are you still stuck? For all of the latest Sony phones try NewFlasher instead.

Flashtool doesn't support our phones. Magisk 19.1+ currently doesn't work with our phones. Hopefully 19.4 will fix that.

Wait a minute. You have enabled Developer options or not?
If you didn’t see the Developer options on your Settings menu, then go to About phone > Build number, and click on “Build number” about ten times to activate “Developer options” on your device.
Then you will find the Developer options menu. Usually there should be many options, such as USB debugging and OEM unlock.
If you have developer options, but no option for OEM unlock, please post a screenshot.

Finally unlock/rooting guide for Samsung A01 SMA015F

After a couple of months of deep research I have managed to find a solution to unlock bootloader and root our SMAO15F device.
1st step: If your on android 10 it's possible to unlock bootloader even if our device has that option by default.
Fortunately with the newly released of official android 11 we are able to do so all you gotta do is you have to jump to android 11 if you're still on android Q then proceed to the unlocking method.
2nd step: after bootloader unlock download this .tar file (patched boot image for android 11 samsung sma015f).
Final process: Go to download mode, open latest odin and import the attached file with the AP button, phone will automatically restart after the process or restart it manually if not,
voila our samsung a01 is now rooted without twrp. Now we just have to wait for someone to make a custom twrp for our device or wait for official twrp or kindly please let me know if there is.

1. Unlock your bootloader enter in download mode Vol+ + Vol- + USB conected to pc (Keep in mind that by doing this you will lose your files, it is advisable to make a backup of your photos, music, etc.)
2. Once you start your cell phone install magisk manager, Choosing the boot.img file of your rom into the app (Tip: Only!!! If your model is SM-A015M Android 11 I leave you my own modified boot.img to flash:
File on MEGA
mega.nz
Otherwise, you can download the firmware (3.79 gb) and extract the boot.img from the firmware of your model SM-A015 M / F ... Android 10, Android 11... etc. And No need for pc
https://samfrew.com/model/SM-A015M/
3. The image will begin to flash
4. When it restarts you will have Root on the cell phone!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Extra: If you need the custom recovery I give you the link with my TWRP which is installed through the Odin program on a PC (this step does not delete your files)
File on MEGA
mega.nz
Keep in mind that to install TWRP you must deactivate the DM-VERITY & FORCEENCRYPT DISABLER I leave it in a link:
Zackptg5 - Android
zackptg5.com
This is a module that can be installed via magisk, which is necessary to decrypt the system ... so once TWRP is installed, it is advisable to uninstall it via Magisk to avoid R / W errors

Now we just have to wait for someone to make a custom twrp for our device or wait for official twrp or kindly please let me know if there is.

after flashing the AP, the phone won't boot and says can't load android system.
edit: i patched my own AP with Magisk and it worked.
So i managed to upgrade my samsung a01m/ds to android 11 & i had unlocked the bootloader. Afterwards i had use the magisk rooting process, then flashed a boot.img that i had extracted from firmware (if needed i will upload) then the phone restated and took like 7 minutes to start, having said that i setup my device but upon doing so i noticed i was not able to use wifi but i had mobile data , managed to get in and install root checker pro and i had root but there was root( will leave an image ) but i didn't enjoy the fact that the wifi was not working, my hotspot wasn't working. i never managed to install TWRP becuase i was tampering a little more and trip my knox. it's been like 2 months since it trip and the OEM UNLOCKING in developer options is yet to be visible so i can unlock the oem and start a fesh.

I managed to root my phone using this method but after I rooted, my wifi was stuck at turning on. I would then restore it to its stock firmware to have the wifi back and it did, but then I rooted again and wifi got stuck again. How do I fix this problem?

[GUIDE] How to Root Nokia 4.2

This guide will show you how to root your Nokia 4.2. This has been tested on TA-1157 and is working fine.
**Important** - If fastboot does not recognise your device In step 5, You need to download a driver. Here is the link: Download Driver (by Beebom)
Search up how to install custom driver and install it to the “Android” device.
Requirements:
Nokia 4.2 with unlocked bootloader
USB Cable
ADB/Fastboot.
Python
Your current ROM file
Internet.
Downloads:
ADB Installer (by Snoop05 on xda) : Download
Python : Download
Payload Dumper (vm03 on github): Download ( Click on code and select "download ZIP")
Magisk APK (on your phone) : Download APK ( Scroll down and you will find the APK file)
Code:
** I have only tested this on TA-1157. Other models may not work, but technically they should work.**
** Your warranty is now Void**
Step 1
Enable USB debugging on your phone. If you do not know how to do this, Search it up. It is easy.
Once that's enabled, Connect your phone to your PC/Laptop and open the command prompt (cmd) and type adb devices. It should show your device in the list.
Step 2
Locate the Python folder. To do this, simply type "python" in the start menu and click open file location. Then, Right click on "python.exe" and open properties. Then click open file location.
Once the folder opens, make sure to not close it.
Download the payload dumper.py which I have linked in the downloads section. Extract it and place the contents of the file in the Python folder.
Step 3
Download the ROM file. If you are using lineage OS on your Nokia 4.2, Download that file. If you are using the Stock rom, Download that. It should be a .zip file.
Extract the stuff from that file and take payload.bin and move it to the python folder.
Now, Open cmd in that directory by right clicking and opening cmd. Then, Type the following commands,
Code:
python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
then type,
Code:
python payload_dumper.py payload.bin
Once it is done extracting, Open the "output" folder. There you will find the "boot.img" file
Step 4
Use your USB cable or Google drive to transfer the "boot.img" to your phone. Once you have done that, Download the Magisk APK on your phone and install the app. (APK link in downloads section)
Once you have installed Magisk, open it and click "Install". Select the file from your phone and wait a few minutes for magisk to patch the "boot.img" file.
Once Magisk is finished patching, there will be a new file which magisk has created. Transfer the patched file to your computer via the USB cable or Google drive and make sure to rename it as "magisk_patched.img"
Step 5
You are almost done! Open CMD in the folder where you saved the "magisk_patched.img" and type
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
then type
Code:
fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img
Once done, Reboot your phone and Voila! Your phone is now rooted. Make sure to open the magisk app and check it.
If you need any help or you get any errors, post it down here below.

Personally, I do not recommend Kingroot as it is not very reliable and safe. Instead, you can follow this guide or follow other guides on youtube.
hello @Geoperson8 I have currently installed lineage os 20 on my nokia 4.2
But i am facing an issue with rooting my phone when I flash the patched boot.img it asks me for factory reset after factory reset one important part of flashing lineage os is flashing the vendor image but when I flash teh vendor image after flashing magisk my wifi does not work and that's what happens when you don't flash the vendor image but my wifi does not work even after flashing teh vendor image so please help me with rooting my nokia 4.2
