Anyone find a blacked out theme that is compatible with the S20 series yet? Maybe have a link to one. I want a true dark mode, not the one Samsung has by default.
Edit. Got some to work. I guess you have to have the phone in light mode for the themes to work.

I just got a A71 and A51 . That option doesnt work on these models either. Just trolling other model forums for info on it
Use hex installer on Google play. It's basically substramtum themes without root.

I'm currently using it on my S20 Ultra on the latest update. No issues here at all.
Before I used Swift Installer for the Pixel 4 XL, Hex has made it a great transition for the One UI.

You need to install GoodLock or NiceLock depending on which region you live in .. each of these apk. have the (same) modules you have to install to get what you are looking for ... this is how it looks to me ... I have NiceLock.You can find them on the Playstore / Galaxy Store....

Thanks for the information about this Theme tool - I don't think this is possible, but is there any way I can combine one of the elements from this custom theme with a different theme I am using ?
My ultimate goal is to use a theme I bought on the Samsung Themes store - and then add a custom navigation bar (colored icons) - the theme I am using is awesome but it has plain white nav buttons and I wanted to just change those - is that possible ? (I have tried to get Substratum to work on my S20 Ultra but cannot get it working. (I have the SD 865 Ultra)

I have no idea, it's best for you to try it ... otherwise i use "Hex Installer" apk. and i'm more than pleased with ... there's another apk "Samsung Theme Park" you can theming with (also one of the modules at GoodLock / NiceLock) ..

Thanks - I did find one apk on Play Store that allows themeing of the Navigation Buttons but it is a bit quirky - I will keep trying different things, including the things you suggested. Thanks

It should work, are you sure you activated and rebooted? Also, which reddit sync theme do you have on? (Action bar colour)

Xposed doesn't support L
It's 2.3+, as the title says
Looks good thanks. Although in the app Fenix (twitter client) the icon is white and clashes with the action bar.
Edit: In fact, this seems to be a issue with every app that has a grey/white action bar.

I've looked quite long for this mod, finally!! Maybe im just slow
A theme with simple dark background in settings menu
And it is possible, and it's looking okay. except for the status/nav bar color
(but that can be sorted with translucent effect with another app, but i didn't bother)
I just wanted to share.
1. rooted device with supersu
2. xposed framework installed (http://dl-xda.xposed.info/modules/de.robv.android.xposed.installer_v33_36570c.apk)
3. download Holo Themer module from inside framework
4. select 'settings' from the list and choose dark and save
it's possible with other apps too

Wow, I always had black themes on my phones and this is one is good as well. Well, have to wait for a new root method.
I do believe root isn't necessary for something like this, I for example use the Material Orange L, and it works for everything on my phone.
There are a few themes on the Play Store e.g. Theme eXperiance™ - Space. I am a bit new to android but I did program in java a few years ago.
I will eventually get to tempering around with the themes and making a black orange one as it is my dream theme
(unless someone makes one before me).
Please do this. I tried it and did not succeed. I never figured out how to change the font color in settings. The background is quite easy but the font color is a different story. I have to change it to white so that it is readable on a black background.

I only changes the semc_bg_light_tile.png into the dark version. The Problem now is that I need to change the font color to white or something bright so that you can read the text on the dark background.
Please keep in mind that the theme has to work without root, so I can't use XPOSED.
I attached the modified version of the theme to use the dark background.
It would be great if you could tell me what file I have to edit to change the font color.

Yes, and the Account of a Friend of me was killed.

was interested in the Alien Gold theme and have no issues supporting your hard work. however once I downloaded this theme the only changes it made is for the wallpaper ( lock screen and Home screen ) and the Nav Bar.
in the play store description it specifies that this will work on non rooted LP...I'm on stock 5.02
3D matching Alien system icons included throughout the theme- not working for me...
as suggested I did reboot after I installed but no Joy
is there something that needed to be done on my end to get the themed system icons to work as it should?

Hello, sony has changed a lot of things in lollipop. Right now the things that change are the wallpapers and app drawer icons along with home icons and navigation keys. I'm working constantly on how to change more things in lollipop. If you want I can refund your money. Or you can wait for some days.
